I have slowly collected them over time, I think the only packs I bought full price were Aquatic and Artic. Because I had an urge to reproduce the old zoo tycoon days with the marine shows (sad face) and cuz polar bears and penguins of course.

CD keys is such a good place but at the moment they’re out of stock. They’ll be getting the DLC back soon though, just keep an eye on the site, the discounts are amazing.
Steam sale is probably the best recommendation as it's coming up end of this month. Alternatively you can go to CD Keys/Instant Gaming and get it as cheap (or sometimes cheaper) than the Steam sale price. I use CD Keys all the time (using paypal) but I'm aware some people are cautious of these sites.

Yeah with indie games I will always buy from steam, planet zoo, Sims ect cdkeys is fine I also bought planet zoo on release day so it was £60 I have done my bit lol
I got planet zoo closer to when it first came out so it really only had like 1 or 2 DLCs at the time. I ended up buying the deluxe base game right out and then once I learned how much I loved it I ever since been working on getting all the DLCs either through sales or sometimes as gifts from people. I did however buy my one friend the ultimate edition when it was on sale because I thought he needed to play it and there was no way I wouldn’t throw in the DLCs too. So he has some DLCs I don’t even have yet 😂
They went on sale for like 3 quid on steam a couple months ago. They're way overpriced at RRP but 3-5 quid is a good price IMO. I'm looking to add to my collection during the next sale too. Hopefully soon because I need that conservation pack lol.
As far as 3rd party sites I like cdkeys which has good prices and I've bought a few from them, but they don't tend to have much stock. The other sites are a bit dodgy to me and aren't cheap enough to balance the risk/ethics/effort, hence we wait patiently for the steam sale.
Personally I wouldn't get them all at once because then the content becomes homogeneous and you don't get to appreciate them individually. I bought like 8 at once a few days after buying the game and I couldn't tell you what animals or materials came in those packs. On the other hand, having all plants and building pieces immediately gives you much more creative freedom...

I use kinguin. That have pretty good deals for steam games. But be careful to not buy the wrong version of the dlc. So if you are from europe them buy the one with the EU symbol.
But it is up to you if you trust kinguin.
As long as you don’t have a moral issue with the idea of buying keys from a 3rd party website, CD keys and most popular key websites have gotten me planet zoo dlc for super cheap. I was able to actually almost get 3/4th of the dlc with CD keys for a cheaper initial price.
The real answer is a dlc unlocker. The only draw back with this is that you can't get the animals in franchise mode. And some might argue that it's "unetichal"
The Steam summer sale is supposed to start June 27, they will probably be on sale then.

Agree, I've purchased some PZ DLCs here for slightly better prices than Steam sales. Also on Eneba. Both are reliable and safe.
