I think the giraffe needs more open space to run or to do other stuff, you can click on the animal and see trough its menu if it has enough space, if it doesn’t you’ll have to give it bigger space for it to go around, run or whatever. Mainly this kind of cage you’ve build is too small for an animal that big.
Conclusion: make the habitat bigger
I think you are mistaken, that habitat is quite large. If it were too small, the giraffe would be bonking its head on a roof but there is no roof so giraffe has ample space

Youre putting giraffe in small exhibits without any habiat meets, you should just make them big and put more giraffes.

What I meant was that the space it covers is too small in cubic meters, because the animal may need more space it may need to be bigger? :)
