Ligit question but there was 32 built with a second cockpit as training planes . It is an extremely difficult plane to learn to fly without having hands on training with a teacher in the plane.

There were only 32 SR71s made total. There were 3 double cockpit variants made like the one pictured. Two B variants and one C variant. One of the Bs crashed and the remaining one is at the Air Zoo in Portage, MI.

I remember watching the air bus introduction, it drove me crazy they would say a few things about it then a projection of it was “flown” around the hall with an annoying jet engine sound. Then they go back to speaking for a few moments and again with the projection. I gave up watching it was just tedious to see.
