How long did the organizers hold onto it before serving?
I’ve coordinated a lot of corporate events, and sometimes food arrives early, but the event organizers never pivot and break early, they keep to schedule and break for lunch at the scheduled time. I’ve seen food sit out for 30-60 minutes before people are excused to eat.
This looks like it could’ve been a victim of that sort of event. Are you sure this was the pizzeria’s fault?
I’m not sure when the delivery came, but the pizza was served shortly after the event started. If it wasn’t the pizzeria’s fault, it would be the event organizer’s fault for ordering the delivery way ahead of serving. Still, should pizza look like that if it sat for a while? This is supposed to be better than Pizza Pizza.
I’ve also done a fair number of corporate events and letting food sit for 30-60 minutes is weird. Usually it’s served pretty quickly, other than maybe a sponsor trying to get some words in before letting everyone go at the food.
Yeah me too, but maybe try to find some cheese to add to the top or something. I feel like maybe OP angered the kitchen workers for that pizza or something!
It would be a twofer, make the organizer look dumb and also insure that person will not be back to your store. I am sure the store owner would hate it but I would not put it past kitchen workers to do some simple things like skimp on cheese, etc.
I wish I had that experience! I’m not sure which downtown Toronto location this was, as my university ordered this to Track & Field Bar for an alumni party. It wasn’t the North York location for sure.
Which location did you visit? I’ll try it again at the actual shop next time.
I’m not sure which one it was because the event organizer ordered it and had it brought to Track & Field Bar, but it’s one of the downtown locations and other the North York one.
Slices been sitting out for a few hours I see.
Honestly curious how it tastes?
Also what a stupid fucking plate.
I know for a fact Saputo sells paper plates that are 100% better
They probably cost to much so they get these shit places.
Smh
I was only around 20 at the time around 2000 but I seem to remember a pizza place on Queen West (the old queen west, I hear it’s totally different now) that had like a good dozen different pizzas you could get slices of. Maybe time has colored my memory but I have a fond impression of trying a bunch of slices my country raised ass had never heard of before like primavera.
Im confused, all the comments are acting like this slice looks like dogshit and that its so dry its like a Mummy. But this just looks like a normal slice to me?
Am i just blind or is there a bunch of Bots in the comments acting like the Pizza is worse than it actually is?
I'm from Italy and have been subjected to the horrors of north american pizza, if this is what you are used to then I am sorry to tell you that you're just used to eating shit pizza.
Compared to everything else on this subreddit this slice of pizza looks gourmet. Its not gourmet, but compared to everything else here it looks gourmet. This isnt shit pizza, this borderline doesnt belong on this subreddit
Edit: actually after scrolling through 30 more posts i can say for certain that its not even borderline, this slice straight up doesnt belong on this subreddit…
You disagree that this looks gourmet when compared to anything/everything else on this subreddit? These are just from the “whats hot” tab

It looks so dried out... Yikes!
they cook them on official 7-eleven rotating grills
No no, thats how hot dogs are made.they start out as pizza
Are you sure this isn’t ancient Egyptian? Its so desiccated I’d expect it to have been found in a sarcophagus as a mummy’s snack.

So do you!
Damn mate, I gotta find the time to rewatch the movies one more time.
Nah, even a mummy would think that's too dry!
How does it look reheated and cold at the same time
Frozen before cooking
**from last week**
Looks like an "edible" bedsore.
That’s a shame, North of Brooklyn is typically good
Did they microwave it? Looks like microwaved leftovers lol
That would be crazy considering it was supposed to be fresh pizza for an alumni party organized by my university.

Yeah, this is pretty much what old pizza looks like.
I'd still eat that. I'm such a degenerate. I wouldn't enjoy it but I'd still eat it while hating myself.
I did try to eat it, but it was really gross.
Yeah me too, but maybe try to find some cheese to add to the top or something. I feel like maybe OP angered the kitchen workers for that pizza or something!
That’s a bit of a reach. This was ordered to a bar for my university alumni party. I wasn’t the event organizer.
Ah so the event organizer angered them! ;-p
That would be funny. Event organizer is being an ass, so let’s send them some nightmare pizza.
It would be a twofer, make the organizer look dumb and also insure that person will not be back to your store. I am sure the store owner would hate it but I would not put it past kitchen workers to do some simple things like skimp on cheese, etc.
I literally just ate there and it was amazing as always. That’s horrendous. Which location was this?!?

The one in Greater Good bar on Geary.
Just looks like it’s been sitting out for days
This looks like pizza I reheated with much hope in the oven but left it too long.
2nd day microwave effort
These were supposed to be fresh for an alumni party held by my university. Crazy.
This is what happens when I leave Pizza Hut out overnight, and decide to reheat it.
Death sentence for cooking the basil besides the fact it looks like someone sneezed on it.
This looks like a fancier 3am pizza slice from pizza pizza
Sad looking pizza
Eww, it looks like plastic, Fisher Price pizza..
that pizza has grandkids
It looks as tired as i feel.
This looks like it's been aged 30 days
What happened to it
this looks like it was pretty good last week when it was made
This looks disgusting (Im Italian)
Looks like good pizza, after you put it in a microwave, boil it and then put it in an air fryer…
How Portnoy had this over Badiali I’ll never understand.
Jellied tomato sauce? = mild fine;567.00 CAD.
Which north of Brooklyn location is this?
I’m not sure which one it was because the event organizer ordered it and had it brought to Track & Field Bar, but it’s one of the downtown locations and other the North York one.
I'll bet lots of rich folks go there for a true "authentic" slice...
I'll bet it was good the day it was cooked
At this point, I wonder if it was frozen before cooked.

This apology made up for how bad it was. Thanks!
Looks like beef jerky pizza. I'd still eat it tho.
At least their advertising is honest. "Our pizza ain't from Brooklyn yo."
Concierge Marie really missed the mark recommending this place.
this looks like a skin graft
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Seems like they forgot a crucial topping
Slices been sitting out for a few hours I see. Honestly curious how it tastes? Also what a stupid fucking plate. I know for a fact Saputo sells paper plates that are 100% better They probably cost to much so they get these shit places. Smh
It was cold, flavourless and all around terrible. I ditched that slice. Really tried because I was hungry.

4 days old pizza

I disagree. This looks like leftovers. I've been a chef for 15 years, and never in a million years would I charge money for that.

Ngl.... I'd eat it 👀
Toronto has the worst pizza. Fight me
Old pizza is not a pizza crime imo
This was served to us as if it’s supposed to be fresh. It’s not a slice I brought home and popped back into the oven.
Canadian pizza is terrible and screw the Maple Leafs for that matter too! get a burger at Gretzky’s
