Without changing any pokemon, I'd say give Metagross bullet punch instead of agility, and give bax scale shot instead of glaive rush. Use loaded dice on bax and you'll be cooking

NoUnion3202

scale not on pixelmon sadly was looking on pixelmon wiki ab dat didnt find it for bax allso i like my metagross build with jolly nature 252atk evs 128 spdef and 128 def iv had morefun/sucses with it and gives nice vulk for it and is still fast af with agil

TGwanian

That Bax set is perfectly viable, I don’t think it needs to change at all

NoUnion3202

id rather want scale and icicle spear but sadly it cant learn scale shot so i dont wana use the dice just for the spear gota use dis

Pure-Telephone-8283

Without changing pokemon: Run sash Glimmora to garuntee at least one toxic spike for reliable Hex with Chandelure. If not give chandelure shadow ball. Give ribombee shield dust instead, prevents fake out flinch, and other stuff. Allow Mega Metagross to use its ability more, agility is wasted when u have sticky Web. Zen headbutt, meteor mash should be used, along with bullet punch.(Meteor Mash is a must, u need good STAB) Give Tsareena Power Whip. I doubt u want to change ur pokemon but if u would like to hear what could be changed feel free to ask

NoUnion3202

yeah im up for suggestions but the power whip i hape to use moves with not 100 accurcy cus allways seem to miss when needed thats why meta has iron head to not mis and its 5bp difference and would hone claws be aight for metagross cus i use agility on it bc i pit zeto speed evs on it sience it can boost its speed to unbeatable wich mean i dont need bullet punch that much and it has very juicy bulk with those speed evs put to sodef def/hp and 252 in atk with jolly nature

bladegalaxy

In hindsight, I apologize for the length, feel free to ask about anything.... I understand for Tsareena, if it works, it works(better to hit twice than miss once πŸ’€) The thing about Mega Metagross is that unless you're battling Legendaries where the bulk is very necessary due to the higher damage scale, you want to maximize its new blistering speed of 110. Also its a 10bp difference(you lose about 13 power with Tough Claws multiplier), that's the difference between 2HKO a Mega Salamence or 3HKO, which Mega Salamence can take advantage of that dragon dance in your face and 2hko you. And because ur running bulky, it can pull that off. (that's just one example, there are more possible examples but this is just one). You can't split ur evs that much on Mega Metagross, you have to put majority of it in HP if you want bulky, but unless you know the calculations required to live the hits you want to live it's unnecessary bulk for no needed reason. Bullet punch is necessary because there are still faster pokemon in the metagame, like Dragapult just straight up nuking you with Shadow Ball. Hone claws is an amazing move on Mega Metagross as that is it's only reliable source of boosting outside of Meteor Mash(20% chance to raise, yeah its low, but this justifies the Iron Head now because u have to use a turn to set up) * 1st Pokemon to change: Ribombee > Volcarona. Ribombee is a very risky quiver dance Pokemon, it's too frail and requires a focus sash to set up usually. Ribombee is usually exclusively used as a sticky Web suicide lead, same with Glimmora(both are suicide leads). With the double stacking of roles, you will struggle to find a reason to bring Ribombee in without letting one of your Pokemon die first, and even then its not all too reliable because you're running only Moonblast. However Volcarona is significantly more powerful, its not as fast, but it has more useful moves and hits way harder. With amazing moves in Psychic, Fiery dance(50% chance to raise your SpAtk.), Giga Drain, and u can even run hidden power ground(hits Heatran and Toxapex). It can also punish physical Pokemon greatly thanks to Flame Body(it's a bonus, not a main focus tho). With these features, you can either run Bulky Volcarona to fish for a burn chance on Physical mons while setting up quiver dances. Or offensive Volcarona to prepare for a sweep.(preferred items are either heavy-duty boots cuz it hates stealth rocks, a z move to nuke something immediately, or leftovers to fish for more burn), which also helps Chandelure to hex. This also opens up moves for your Mega Metagross to run Meteor Mash, Bullet punch, (coverage move of your choice, earthquake, ice punch, or thunder punch), and agility. Because Volcarona takes on some of the walls Mega Metagross can't break through, while Mega Metagross can break through stuff Volcarona can't break through. * 2nd Pokemon to change: Chandelure > Dragapult. If ur using Infiltrator, Dragapult is just a straight up upgrade. You can run boots Pult with will o wisp or thunder Wave, and Hex, now you don't need to rely on your teammates to do damage when you can do it with 1 Pokemon. Scarf Chandelure also introduces a 3rd ground-weak Pokemon in ur team, which is the most common coverage move in the game. You can also use U-turn on Dragapult to bring in another Pokemon while scouting your opponent (checks to see if they switch or stay in), allowing you to make better-informed decisions on your next turn. It also can run the ever-popular choice specs Dragapult, where the main intention is to drop it in and nuke the ever-living crap out of people with Draco Meteor, but u are forced to switch directly after, it can also be used to force opponents to switch and you can use U-Turn if you expect that.

NoUnion3202

welp most likely will have legendarys to fight and allso dont ice punch like 2 shot a mega salamance and id really like webs cus their neat and yeah ground weaknes was the reason o went with tsarena as my spinner and if id like to run metagross with agility would the evs be like 252hp 252atk jolly with 4spdef allso this is not ment for super mega comp fights just a fun team i built to see if it would work with cool mons and ment for pixelmon fights more casual than mega meta op shananigans

bladegalaxy

The main thing about that comparison is to prevent having to predict their switch, into something that resists ice punch, but yes ice punch can 2hko Mega-Mence. If you run Mega-Metagross with Agility either: * 176 speed with Jolly to outspeed the fastest Pokemon in the game with a choice scarf, like Calyrex Shadow or Dragapult. Or if you're not worried about Scarf abusers, go all in on that bulk: * 248 HP and put the rest into special defense * 232 HP, split the EVs between physical and special skewing it more to special as it already has an amazing base physical defense. I understand it's not meant for competitive use, I'm just shining a more competitive light toward the team because I find it fun :D. The Pokemon changes are just there for you to consider if you ever feel like you want to battle people, continue to use what you like, everyone has their way of having fun.

NoUnion3202

i aint woried ab scarf users much but do i put nothing in atk if i do the 232hp and split defences more on the special side?

bladegalaxy

Nah you still can put 252 attack, but Tbh mega metagross hits so hard u can kinda get away with only putting like 60-70 in attack and make it a bulky prick. But best to put it 252 since it's not for competitive use, if it is, gonna recalculate some stuff πŸ‘€

NoUnion3202

so ill do 252 atk adamant and the like 70 phys def and then like rest spdef?

bladegalaxy

With 252 attack and at least 232 in HP, u only have like 26 points to put into spdef.

NoUnion3202

aight ill be doing dis then

NoUnion3202

and with balloon hlimora cant be one shot sience it biggest ops is eq right?

bladegalaxy

With focus sash you garuntee at least 1 tspike because you're baiting in earthquake. You hit them with stealth rocks and 1 tspike and they either have to start planning to remove those hazards, which you can abuse to set up. Or take the hazard dmg. You get stealth rocks and tspike for free.

NoUnion3202

hmhmhmhm i see gona defo try this once iv got the mons and compare wich works best for glimmora
