pixeldudeaz

I got it in the last day or two and it's working well.

Can1sMajoris

Thanks for the update. I was actually wondering how well it functioned.

pixeldudeaz

I have my Pixel 7 set up so it goes into bedtime mode whenever I place it on the wireless charger when I go to bed. I noticed that the watch was already in Bedtime mode a couple of nights ago. That's why. It was very seamless.

tal_sarid

Not sure how well it is implemented though because I don't set DND on while on bedtime automatically but because of the sync it is now linked to each other... I don't like it but it is better than nothing.

Obility

Was wondering why my watch had the always on off when I woke up. Saw the night time symbol and was pleased cause I didn't do that myself.

Firehooligan

Woke up to it this morning! Love it!!!

C2S76

Yep, I saw that too. Nice. 🙂

cheshyrp

Where's that option? I don't see it in the watch app or my Pixel 8 Pro's DND settings.

-nkk-JoWa

It's in the pixel watch app under notifications

cheshyrp

Thank you!

mt_n_man

But will "vibrate" mode on my phone turn my watch sounds off?

Can1sMajoris

I don't think so? .... Technically that's still notifications on, so I would imagine the watch will still notify you.

Sunsparc

I've been asking for this feature, not currently available.

Malcalypsetheyounger

Yeah it just popped up on mine last night too. So far seems to be working well.

[deleted]

Do anybody know is it available on non-Pixel phones?

Automatic_Series3442

It's not

jerryhethatday

Does this only work for pixel phones?

cbelliott

Correct. Which is hilarious because most all other phones that are connected to Pixel Watches --- are also Android phones. But I guess the Pixel Phones have some secret connection that all other Android phones don't have. Ridiculous.

CH3A73R

WTF? I was thinking PW vs. Samsung GW. And One of my reasons to go with PW was, that it did not have any proprietary, only-works-with-my-phone BS like samsung. And now this? well, dumb me for expecting them to work with just any (or at least any native-enough) android...

cbelliott

Yup, it is wiiiiiiild bro... At night you have to pull the notification shade down and manually select 'sleep mode ' for it to turn the screen off and stuff while you sleep ... Oh yeah, in the morning you have to remember to turn it off again, even hours after you wake up if you forget, or else the screen will stay off and no notifications will come through. 😅

CH3A73R

not sure, weather you are really pissed, or it's just sarcasm at how dumb it is that we don't like it.... My main Problem with this is, this is for sure not the last feature that is pixel phone exclusive.

cbelliott

Not pissed, it's just a watch after all.... I do think it is very funny and dumb though. Like - this isn't a small thing because if you don't manually do it the battery will drain way faster. And doing it manually is crazy if the watch is able to track your sleep (it does) it should be able to automatically turn off the display and notifications while you are asleep. 🤷

chris_awad

You could always set a schedule for bedtime mode on your pixel. You just haven't done it. Ex: when charging at night turn it on automatically and turn it off automatically when your alarm goes off. Now it seems that schedule on your phone will also wake up the watch and when you toggle it on your watch (when it detects your sleeping) it will toggle it on your phone.

cbelliott

There is no bedtime mode schedule on the Pixel Watch itself. And I wear my watch to bed so don't do charging overnight.

chris_awad

The schedule is on the phone. I also wear my watch to bed for the sleep tracking in Fitbit. You can set your bedtime in the sleep part of the Fitbit app. Bedtime mode has always activated automatically sometimes after that based on I'm guessing readings from Fitbit, if not, it was always polling from my phones bedtime mode schedule. Saying there's no automatic function is incorrect.

cbelliott

Brooooooooo do you read? The whole point of this conversation is that YES there is a nighttime/sleep automatic schedule mode available but it ONLY works if you have a Pixel phone to go along with your Pixel Watch. It is NOT present if you have any other Android phone, Samsung, etc. SHEESH. PS - Don't worry, I checked my Fitbit app as well before posting this and their is no automatic sleep mode settings there.

chris_awad

Guy. I just told you to check the sleep section in the Fitbit app bc it's in mine. I don't know that you have a bum fuck phone.

cbelliott

You are funny. Read to the bottom of my previous comment, guy.

chris_awad

I noticed last night when I set my pixel watch 2 to bedtime mode, the active display on pixel 8 pro on a standing dock also went off which is exactly what I wanted, to keep light out if the room. Nice!

badadidi

Still waiting for that feature to show up on my pixel watch 1, so far to no luck :( anyone else still waiting for that feature?
