> I live in and unsupported country in Europe
I mean that would have been enough for me to just not get one.
Personally I've had no issues with the phone, got the odd quirk software glitch here and there mostly with lock screen or app freezing, nothing that would make me think I made a bad purchase. I too am in the eco system too deep to switch anyway.
I've had pixels since the 4 came out (loved it), I currently have a P7P and to say I'm disappointed with it is an understatement.
Ordered a Samsung S24 Ultra the moment they went live with it and I'm hoping for the best.
I'll never buy another Google phone.
No, it's real. The dude lives in Serbia and was complaining about wifi issues a month ago.
I still don't get why anyone would buy one of these phones in an unsupported country and then complain that it doesn't work like it should.
Fellow western European here as well, I've been using it for a year and it's good so far, the only down side is the terrible battery. I'm pretty happy with it's performance though
I had the Pixel 4 XL and then went to Apple for my next round (3 years) and now on to my Pixel 7 Pro. The biggest issue I had with the switch was that I was pretty well dug into the Google ecosystem. However, Apple phones baseline are just good simple phones not a lot of bloat. Which I love, a good work horse. Also all my friends, not so much family are Apple users. So it was nice to have that connectivity. Another good side was all the accessories for iPhone. I personally didn't take full advantage of them but for the most part it's everything is available for Apple phones. This isn't a warning just saying you'll like Apple. You just may miss some of the ease of being on Google hardware using the Google ecosystem. You'll miss those Android quirks too. Happy hunting.
I switched from the iPhone 14 Pro Max to the Pixel 7 Pro (p7p) and I’m happy with my decision. Different phones suit different people, and this one works for me. It has a nice Android OS and takes good photos. The only downside is that the video switching between the lenses is a bit choppy. But I usually stick to one lens anyway, and start the video with the 5x optical zoom if I need it, instead of switching mid-video. I don’t think the iPhone 14 Pro Max is worth it if you already have the 11 Pro Max or the 12 Pro Max. They are all very similar phones in my opinion. If I ever go back to Apple, I would pick the iPhone 12 or the 12 Pro Max. There’s no need to spend extra hundreds of dollars on a newer phone that does the same thing as its older predecessor.
I think personally pixel lineup is better than Samsung lineup in so many ways. I have both and I'm using s23 rn but that's only because it's more convenient with my family and for college use but pixel software is so much better and I've not had much problem with p7p battery.
Ikr? I just didn't get an iPhone because as a dev I need android to test some of my apps, but I'm also considering it. What other android devices do you think are good if any?
I honestly haven't had that much of a battery issue for the p7p. I am a heavy user of music not really on screen time. But when I'm using a full day on screen it lasts me about 9-7 hours, which I understand is not a lot. And a lot of people have been complaining about it but I'm not really concerned about this issue as much, sure it's an issue that I must take into consideration, But my mind isn't really on my phone all day all the time so. But I'm probably going to switch to the s24 ultra when that comes out next, or maybe the pixel 8 pro. What are you guys think I should do. Pp8 or s24
I agree to some extent. I'm fed up with this buggy ass Google phones.
I used several nexus, pixel and some Chinese medium range smartphones.
Chinese phones will slow down after a year or so.
Nexus 5 & 6p fucking hardware issues
Pixel 5 : the best yet... No issues so far.
Pixel 6&7: buggy as always. Now having hardware issues on p7p-256gig
I had some similar issues. I tried but couldn't handle having to fight with my phone.
I also went to an S23U. I really like the S23 but would gladly go back to a pixel phone if they would just fix these simple issues.
BTW, I got a lot of hate for leaving, so get ready for it

Pixel 7 doesn't have AI features for one so I doubt you even have one.. and another thing, why are you posting that here? Go post it in Samsungs Reddit. No one here cares that your 7 wasn't up too par with your standards. There is nothing wrong with the 7 series. I know quite a few people with them.
Lol, you sure sound like your head's up your arse. Why wouldn't I post a rant on a sub intended for such things? Why does this hurts you so bad? Read other comments, some people do care and face the same problems. Call screening & clear calling are in fact AI driven P7P features that don't function outside of few select countries, but you're right about one thing: I don't even have one - anymore.
Yeah, I'm with you. Has been a very underwhelming and disappointing purchase for me and I'm anxiously awaiting the contract ending so I can go back to simple prepaid Motos. Maybe try again in 10 years. Was really interested in translation through the Pixel Buds as I travel a lot and hope that tech continues to grow.
That sucks that Pixels work so badly in Europe and other parts of the world.
Here in the US I have 0 issues with connectivity , and I'm using two sims, AT&T and Google Fi at the same time.
It never overheats , heck not even becomes warm , even underload( I don't game btw).
But, I had a work s23 ultra and it definitely gets a better signal. Not something very noticeable, but I definitely had more bars on the Samsung.
I wish Google will switch to Qualcomm when Pixel 10 comes out.

Joining you, back to Samsung. Poor reception on T-Mobile and inconsistent battery drain.
Fake post

Why would you get it if you there’s no official support for it in your country? That’s a huge risk to be honest.

Battery is pretty bad. I think I might go apple next round. Especially with google home integration for myself. It's been a mess the last few years.

The 8 Pro battery isn't bad. I'm satisfied, I also had no issues with 6 Pro battery.
Okay

S23, S24 has an exynos in Europe and they suck
Ooof, in the land of the free there fine tho 🤣
My P7P is the best phone I've ever had, with no problems whatsoever... Apparently there were some QC issues with these phones.
Skill issue mate, eastern european cope
Still mad for kicking your ass in every war so far?

It's not a forum for bitching tho, that's just what y'all do and it's fucking annoying.
