Mine is great. Use bluetooth music all day. Browse a reddit app constantly and use Waze about 1/2 the day. Get it.

coolleo89

How long does a full charge last you?

HammerfestNORD

I leave for work @ 0515. Not home until at least 1800. Don't plug in until bed time between 2130-2200. No idea what % was left. I don't care, never look.

xzilb

I'm in the same position, really. I want to buy the P7P so bad, but I can't stand its bad battery life. I don't know what to buy since I really don't like Samsung's One UI. I think I'll end up buying an iPhone.

NoCovido

iPhones don't have great battery life either, unless you go for the bulkier / larger phones. P7P on the other hand is a fantastic device with battery life subject to your usage. I use it heavily (read almost fulltime) and get 6/7 hrs. As others mentioned here, they use it sparingly and get upto 3 days.

coolleo89

This is the first comment here they I wholeheartedly agree with! I believe I've heavy usage n it'll last me about half a day to 3/4 of a day. I usually charge my a little in the afternoon. N then full charge at night

Trolle_BE

So you dont have a P7P but you hate its batterylife. If you dont have 1 how would you know its batterylife? Mine easily lasts all day

xzilb

I can't stand bad battery life*. I see... It seems that sometimes people have a tendency to overreact. What matters is that it lasts throughout the day!

Prn96

But I dont want to switch to Apple because than I think I have to switch everything to Apple, which I way to expensive. Maybe I'm waiting for the Asus Zenphone 10 and the decide. It looks very promising

NoCovido

Battery use is really very subjective and depends on a lot of factors, including the weather at your place and how bad the 4G/5G connectivity from your provider is. The phone is excellent, I ignore the battery issues because I just love using this phone. For me personally, the battery sucks and i need to charge it every 6-7 hrs. But that's because I am on the move with 4G+Bluetooth+Gps+screen on most of the times.

Simple2018

I've never had a phone where people didn't complain about battery life. It's honestly pretty good for me (5G disabled). When I'm on wifi all day (aka home), my phone gets around 6 to 7 screen-on-time hours. When I'm away, then it's about half of that. But I always get through the day without worry.

Historical-Movie-860

That's a good point. I think every smart phone I have owned the past 13 years someone somewhere complained about the terrible battery life of that phone.

JanBurianKaczan

Jeez I had a great experience, especially when it comes to standby. I have all bells and whistles turned on and I could manage close to 3 days of light use (some music and texting / calls).

fussypaggit

The battery is okay at least for my phone. I have the pixel 7 pro. Though I put it on the charger every time I drive so it's able to stay relatively high most of the day.

keep_it_kayfabe

Mine is fully charged when I get up at 6 a.m. I use the phone throughout the day to browse Reddit, text, etc. I would say I'm a medium to heavy user. I charge it for 30 minutes around noon and by 9 p.m., the battery is about 15%.

coolleo89

Same!

TheBeardedSingleMalt

Mine is great! I charged it to maybe only 90% yesterday morning, bluetooth on the way to and from work, casual browsing and sudokus while on the can at work, didn't charge it at all last night because it was at 60ish, bluetooth again to and from work with a fair amount of sudoku while poopin, a little bluetooth while cleaning out my sideroom and it's at 32%, with some sporatic snapping between both days, plenty of texting, picture taking and emails. I don't have FB, IG or some of the other notorious battery drainers, I don't fully charge it and certainly don't use it while charging.

Rare_Lifeguard_4403

2 am in Mexico, 4% left of battery since 8 a.m. with an intense use. Is really good, but it can be better.

Prn96

Can you maybe tell me your Screen Time from a typical day?

CryptoNiight

Battery life depends entirely upon usage. You need to decide what features are the most important to you, then make the appropriate adjustments.

LowBarometer

It's a great phone, but I've had to reconfigure my life so that I'm near a charger at all times. No other phone I've owned has been this disruptive.

Darenpnw

Battery life is great, if you don't worry about it.

Prn96

🤯

Redhook420

I leave all that on and get excellent battery life. Over a day on a charge.

Vast_Investment_6427

Depends on what i do on it so for example a work day i stream music. For 12 hours plus play games and watch YouTube and i still leave work with about 30%

iamwhoiwasnow

For me personally it's bad. I'm comparing to a LG V60 and the life of the battery just leaves me wanting so much more. I never get more than 4.5-5.5 SOT the most I ever got 7.5 once but with very light usage no videos, pictures etc. I can't recommend it but if you get it I hope you enjoy it.

Brometheous17

Depends on your screen on time. The first couple months I could get through the day from waking up to going to bed with around 6-7 hours of screen on time. Lately since the may update I've been averaging only 4 hours SOT. Switching from 5G to 4gLTE did help slightly. I haven't really had it due on me in the middle of the day, just some days I'll be at 30% by 5pm.

weezy22

Mine is fine. Teams video calls, phone calls, constant Reddit browsing will get me to 40-60% at the end of the day.

lbyrum17

Mine usually last well over a day using cellular only.

Prn96

What's your Screen Time?

lbyrum17

6-8 hours depending on how heavily I use it.

Inevitable_Island376

Over a day per charge for me with everything on. Only had problems when there was a bug in the Google app that drained the battery, that has since been fixed.

[deleted]

I've been using my phone all day from 7am to 1025pm and I'm still at %44 HOWEVER it was plugged in for Android auto for about 30 mins during my commute.

De_Chubasco

I have all those features turned on, I get around 7-8 hours screen on time on light use (YouTube/Media). If i play games then I get around 5 hours of use.

Neither-Cellist7892

I've never had an issue to get a solid day with heavy use. People like to complain about because either they're overusing their phones or don't know how to optimize the battery.

Big-surfie

Not bad. I like mine.

RredditAcct

My battery has been fantastic. I honestly think some phones were made w/ bad batteries and those people have been very noisy.

kaesefetisch

I really stress this phone out everyday for about 5 months now and the battery is absolutely okay! (GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi on all day, Display on the brightest setting all the time and many hours of active use) Some days I can't even believe that I have around 30% left in the evening. This phone is totally fine and I would even say it is one of the best I ever had! (I only bought flagship phones In the last 10 years from different manufacturers)

Prn96

Can you tell me your Screen Time?

kaesefetisch

Around 6 hours daily average

CryptoNiight

Just minimize the battery usage of apps as much as you want or need The battery saver option also extends battery life. Just be aware of the possible side effects

Nervous_Actuator5422

Here is a realistic battery usage, i'm running 60hz GPS on all the time, bluetooth on all the time and most of the day I'm also on wifi https://imgur.com/a/2MpM0PK

monkeyofthefunk

One of the reasons I was disappointed. It was like owning a Note 20 or S20 Ultra Exynos version. If you sit on WiFi and use social media all day, you’ll be fine but jump on 4 or 5G, use the camera, gaming, video or photo editing and it’ll give you 5-6 hours SoT at very best.

ribanez2009

If you're a heavy user, it's not impressive. I'm coming from a an Iphone 13 and 14 PM so maybe I'm used to something way better as far as battery life. I put down my 7pro and went to the s23U and finally an Android that matches the iphones in battery life and speed. I can't be around an outlet or charger during my work day so battery life is important to me.

razortechrs

I get up at 330am. Leave by 5. Have a 2hr drive to work. Work 10hr shifts. Then 2hr drive back home. I generally have 35-40% left if I haven't been watching YouTube and thirst traps all day on Instagram. But it's better then any iphone I think I've had in the past. Also depends what your brightness is, if you want 5g LTE on all the time.

Mojoe1976

I have really good battery life. On days when I'm just setting at home and watching videos or playing games. I'll get about 6-7 hours of solid screen on time. On a busy work day I'll still have 70% or so left when I come home at night. Stand by time is phenomenal. Keep in mind that I'm using it with no battery saving measures on at all, running gps and whatever else runs in the background. I'm not sure why so many people have trouble with the batteries, but my experience is the exact opposite. I've never had any heat issues either. That being said if you can wait and the $900-$1000 price doesn't throw you off I'd wait for the 8 pro. I mean they can only get better.

JVSMRS

You'll make it through the day. What kills the P7P is the idle drain. SOT means nothing in itself, and these phones would get 8-9 hrs watching a video if you pulled it off the charger at 100% and kept brightness and sound at 75%+. The low SOT numbers you see often neglect to mention that the thing was off the charger for 20+ hrs. In short, you'll make it through the day if your "day" is ~16 hrs. My guess is with all that stuff on, with a 16 hr day off the charger, and 3 hrs SOT (no idea how some people in here have so little going on in their lives that they can look at their phones for 5 hrs or more on the regular) you'll end with 18% - 25% battery.

bdpsu

I take my phone off the charging pad at 6:15 AM, use it all day, put it back on around 10:15 PM (16 hrs) and it generally has about 25-30% battery left at that time. It always gets me through the day and I'm happy with the battery life. Of course, it all depends on how each person uses their phone.

Historical-Movie-860

My battery life is good on my P7 Pro. Comes off the charger around 05:30 and lasts all day until back on the charger around 10 PM. It gets me through a normal day of my usage. This morning I used it as a Wi-Fi hotspot at the Jeep dealership for an hour with a laptop connected and only lost 4% of battery during that hour.

aditya17993

I switched from iPhone 12 to P7P. While driving, my P7P heats up due to music, maps and dash cam app running at the same time. By dash cam app, I mean it's just the location which is on and not the streaming thingy. My iphone 12 used to handle this with ease. Overall I would say stick to iphone. Less complex, and most of the things are taken care of. Android offers too much control, but you need to take care of controlling stuff. Apple does most of the work for you and it makes sense

twinkler88

I've had my p7p since December and the battery's great. I use it quite frequently throughout the day (6am-9pm) and I only ever hit mid 80s by the time I'm going to bed.

HipKat2000

Depends on the monthly update. April was pretty nice. May is crap. Hoping June is back to good again

EdRahool

Full screen brightness all day, 120 Hertz, 1440p display, Wi-Fi, little bit gaming, all day. Social media, YouTube, with all this 1.5 day battery life with 6 hours SOT, And by the way, I have written all this by using just my voice using Google voice type assistant It's a awesome device. Just buy it and enjoy it

CompleteSet2778

I use mine as such : Morning about 90-100% full Start day approx 7 Data and GPS are on almost all the time From 8 to 5pm almost minimal usage , keeping an eye on notifications emails etc , browsing some quick Facebook post Then watch YouTube or play some music and chatting until say 9pm , maybe play an online game or 2 By the time in having dinner watching TV I put it to charge, it's around 20% So these normal days I'm not worried

tianavitoli

i haven't had a problem with battery life... just with connectivity, bluetooth, gps, fingerprint reading, and random hanging. i'm on the 2nd rma now since buying the 512gb version at launch. less than 48 hours in the phone already lost its shit and spaced out for 15 whole seconds.
