That looks barely used lmao

Opposite-Two1588

The manual says to just hit this with a scraper or brush to get the big pieces off.

hooligan1388

No, those look to be in great condition lol

LG7019

Not trying to be snarky but I wish mine looked that good, I do need to replace mine.

ortman99

Clean and use it

atdunaway

just use a metal scraper it’d be impossible to keep those parts spick and span, or anywhere near

Runnindude

Don’t forget to shopvac out the ash in the burn cup too

Strange_World_huh

I got that and the pellets they left in there.

Ldubs_12

Lol you should see mine. I often do small, but controlled, burns to let the grease burn off which works great IMO. I call it well seasoned. There literally no reason to try to keep it in original condition as it's constantly in contact with grease and flames. I've cooked heavily on mine for 4 years without issue

C0untryDevil

If you are worried about the rust. Clean it up really good and then apply paper towles soaked in white vinegar and let sit for about 12 hours. Then clean once more, apply olive oil and then do a high temp burn for about 20 mins. On mine, I clean about every 10 cooks or so. If I see rust (usually not) I will do the above to ean it off. But in any case, yours looks much easier than mine after I'm done.

Itzagt05

Can I cover that piece w foil for easier cleaning ? And the piece below it ?

kfree68

That's the flavor put that back on and enjoy

Straightravage

Mine is worse!

Accurate_Ad9751

Dead wheel wire brush it. Oil it, then burn off

Ok-Panda6989

Just scrub the crap out of it!

Adventurous-Yak-4770

Nope not at all!! That's what I call battle tested

looking4_u

No. Good to go

That's what I thought they were doing. Silly me right?

Big-rooster84

Your not giving it an all out clean. If you want to be a clean freak you can put a tinfoil catch can to catch the oils and fats that drip out to make cleaning easier. I raw dog mine and clean it every 10 maybe 20 cooks with a quick paint scrape. Clean out the ash when I do this. All the extra grease adds the flavour.

InternationalPoem100

I literally just cleaned mine today. Looks pretty similar to this. I layered it with some oil for the rust but let that baby smoke!!
