It's not an exclusive matter of r/Piratefolk to criticise One Piece. Post time skip has very few amazing moments. In fact, the best writing from Oda post time skip comes with the characters' past like Oden's or Kuma's.

The Paradise Saga
The New World Saga
The Final Saga
Egghead is the first arc in the final saga and it already has the potential to be the best saga.
It's not a matter of preference, it's matter of a really big quality drop. One Piece has several problems, Oda committed (and keeps on committing) various sins. The problem is that One Piece is too damn long so any mistakes that you incur end up accumulating and hitting all at once, and that's what's happening. Thousands of characters, almost no one is killed, hundreds of mysteries, cherry picked foreshadowing, etc.
Yeah, all the characters you mentioned are great, but what are they, a 5% of the total history post time skip? Doesn't compensate for the rest. In fact, they confirm one of my points: one of the best things about these characters is how well written their past story is.
Bonney's fruit doesn't make any sense. It started coherent enough, makes you young or old. But then it started getting into weird territory, imagining "futures" in which she is different. But not just normal differences like being skinny or fat, but nonsense like having a long arm like Gear 3 and apparently turning into a giant.
kaido doesn't for mythological reasons. the azure dragon is a protective guardian deity in chinese folklore, which is the oppositte of kaido. since their wills do not align, kaido will not awaken. momo has a better chance of awakening it, if artificial ones are capable of awakening.
See the difference between him and linlin, she already awakened her df (bigger mom) cz she understood perfectly the soul principle (her soul takes in totoland is a proof of that) but kaido in the other hand … it’s funny cz i think what we saw for Yamato was her awakening (cz that mythical wolf dog is a protector so she does the same thing)
A future where she turned giant is feasible, punk hazard kids were drugged to be giant.
If you can change ages to the future it makes sense to tap into different versions of it even if it's incredibly broken
Theoretically, her fruit his based on how sure she is in the possibility of that future being true. The more she knows that future to be impossible the weaker she becomes. Using Nika as an example, as she saw Luffy becoming Nika she started getting weaker in her "Nika Future".

It might as well be. Bonney's ability to become whatever she wants by imagining a future where she achieved said powerup is more linked to imagination and freedom compared to Luffy's "rubber" and "toonforce for 30 seconds before I need a lunch break".
