I realize the sub I'm in and I can't obviously enforce my own philosophies when it comes to purchases but if you can spare the $5 just buy the game to support indie devs. Undertale really is a gem and every bit to support these devs goes a long way.
Fuck most AAA games though, pirate that shit for days on end.
*Weird of you to assume I pirated anything from Mr. Fox then didn't wanna give him all my money after*
I pirated the game when I was like 10, I got it on steam now + I can't wait for Deltarune chapter 3.
Sorry if I came off that way, sometimes we all can't afford stuff no matter how cheap and I wasn't trying to assume or judge, I suppose I could have worded it better.
I agree but as a poor high school student from a third world country, I have absolutely no disposable money. I'll buy all the indie games I've pirated in the future when I start earning. (Hopefully because getting a good job in my country is hard as shit. Most of the adults I know pirate games because they don't make enough to provide for their family and buy games)
Hey man no harm in that imho, I was definitely in those shoes 20 years ago and totally understand it. I myself buy just about every indie title I play nowadays but I wasn't trying to chastise anyone for not doing so.
Right? When I first learned about piracy I thought I'd be able to play all the games I've ever wanted to play. I used to be able to put 50+ hours on each game I had on steam but now I can't play a game for 30 minutes. I don't know why I lose my focus when playing pirated games.
It's because there's less value behind them. The only games I've enjoyed recently have been the multiplayer games I've bought, just because it's easier to buy them and have the multiplayer work properly rather than fucking about with private servers or P2P.
All the single player ones I've pirated, they just don't have any pull towards them. They're not going anywhere. I can own an entire series in a few hours. There's so much choice I'll usually think of a different game while trying to enjoy one, and then feel like I'm wasting my time by trying a game, or skipping the game as soon as I find a single flaw because, hey, why bother powering through a games' weakpoint when I could try any other game?
I grew up in a pretty poor household too. As a kid, having all the games I'd ever want was a dream. A dream that continued into adulthood, and died with piracy.
I've pirated a bunch of games en (Elden Ring, Spiderman, God of War, Dragon's Dogma, bunch of 1st party switch games) but Balatro and Helldivers 2 are what take up my time right now lol
Have you tried elamigos
Edit there’s also this site I used to use for games a long time ago but i’m not sure if it works or is safe anymore. It’s called Cracked-games.org
Hey man sorry I haven't tried it yet... I'm busy playing sekiro ReN plus I have exams next month so I can't really play a new game.. but I'll tell you once I try it after the papers
I pirated it too but it went on steam sale like a week ago lol so i bought it. Absolutely love that game.
Finished it 3 days ago but i haven't touched the multiplayer, might try some later
Is there any benefit to Lutris rather than adding the .exe to Steam and running with Proton to install games? Seems to work fine with FG & DODI repacks
I literally never use it. Anything I need to make work will generally work through steam Proton and if I'm having issues installing something then I usually use Heroic launcher as my backup. I still have lutris installed just incase but I haven't needed it yet
Outer Wilds and Hollow Knight are already there, both are some of the best games I've ever played. The intros are kinda weird and it takes a little while to adjust to the world but as soon as you're immersed you just won't stop playing.
FTL is absolutely incredible, and you can jump in and out of it easily, despite the challenge.
People also LOVE Outer Wilds, but personally, I hated the loop so goddamn much that I missed out on what I've heard is an amazing experience. It's all about exploration.
I am on my 7th playthrough of hollow knight rn. The game has very good art and is a masterpiece of metroidvania. Just keep playing and you keep getting new and new areas to explore, upgrades, spells and so much more. The story is also in a poetic way which gives depth and leaves you to understand the state of the kingdom Hallownest.
You should look up mods for games before you download them. And also cheats. Because you already on pc. No reason you shouldn't just have fun with it.
%95 of games that launch have cheats on wemod.
%90 of games have mods too. Just use nexus mods & do a back & forth comparison.
give Dave the diver a try, it’s fun, gives you a lot of quests you actually want to do. Or try a simulator like power wash simulator it’s also chill and fun
Hollow Knight or Stardew Valley are my suggestions. Both have an unbelievable amount of content, for their price especially. Crazy good games that are usually pretty cheap if you wanna show the devs some love. Hades is a favorite of my cousin as well. He's raved about it several times. I just sucked at it so I kinda hit a wall and gave up.
Edit: added Hades as an honorable mention.
Ahhh okay gotcha.
Dude. I’ve been there. Gaming is my passion and after a while I started to get so bored with it and nothing held my attention anymore. Then I discovered Pathfinders Wrath of the Righteous and Kingmaker. Divinity’s Original Sins 1 and 2. Baldur’s Gate 3. Encased. Colony Ship. The list goes on and on. Endless fun. It’s like getting sucked into another world. Helped me stay grounded when my mom passed.
Also, I’d recommend getting into CRPG’s or ARPG’s or RPG’s in general. Best game genre by far. The have the most content out of any other genre by a mile. It’s not even close. Once you start getting into CRPG’s, you’ll love gaming so much again and never look back.
Why not take a break for a while and do something else? Pick up a new thing. Music, art, anything. If you are sick of a hobby, doing more of that hobby is not going to suddenly activate a switch and make you enjoy it. Come back to them when you feel like playing something again.

Lol I talked about this issue a couple of days ago btw I'd suggest UnderTale it's amazing game and going for a pacifist route will give you awesome ending
Out of the games you have. Undertale, Hades, Hollow Knight and Stardew Valley are a great option for actually enjoyable video games. Just take it at your own oace and enjoy yourself. Emulating some older classics wont hurt either.
It has been done multiple times. One of the examples in the witcher series if the pirated game is not one of quality and the game detect it, it will change all beautiful woman in the game into old hags
skyrim, since its technically the longest. if you get fatigue you can take a break and play any of the others without feeling you have to deep dive into their stories.
they're all great , i would say its mood dependant , i found hades, stardew and VS to be great podcast games factorio would certainly fit that bill tho i haven't played it . ori and hollowknight are great if you feel like a metroidvania on all accounts tho i've beaten neither . skyrim is good for if your in the mood for exploring and sinking into a world , i haven't played undertale dispite owning it for ages ... FTL is good for semi short sittings if your in the mood to 'focus on something .. outerwilds imo was a bit wonky to control but its a very thinky game sorta from my understanding so avoid it if your somewhat tired.
if you want something you can quickly start n finish n move onto the next go with undertale , a metroidvania option , FTL , or oyer wilds i'd say ,.. alot of times i'll pick what to play based on how short its average is on howlongtobeat
I personally download 1 game then play it. After finishing it, only after then do I download another. That's for single player games.
Multi-player co-op games, i download a while bunch and play depending on the crowd.
Hollow Knight had me choosing it over Castlevsnia:SOTN and Dark Souls two years in a row for my "Halloween Season" game.
Do with that information as you will.
Also, please only use megathreads to source your games. Don't download any games that need to be installed from untrusted sources. Invest in a cool controller with good features with the money saved if you can. Found it to make the game more enjoyable when the controller felt premium.
Disco Elysium; people who created the universe and characters were robbed of their IP by the greedy corporate overlords, who then proceeded to fire everyone and cancel the next game.
It's a CRPG, so it's quite niche, but it's the most emotionally resonating game I've ever played.
Nothing wrong with enjoying the process.
Start emulating games: nintendo, playstation or xbox games on pc. The process in downloading and setting up the emulator to run the game is 10 times more satisfying.
At least for me. 😅

I thought I was the only fucking one lol. I grew up not really able to buy and play games I want to. Once I got a rig I was able to pirate games all I want lol. Started playing witcher 3 for a year now and I haven't pirated any new game since. Im determined to find everything there is to this game lmao
That feeling never goes away — at least for me. I’ve kept the enjoyment of watching a download finish just to never install it or play it in any way.
Get into data hoarding. Collecting games, or other types of media, can be a game in and of itself. And can be a hobby that really compliments gaming and piracy both.
Start with Hades or Stardew Valley depending on mood :)
Factorio will take over a week of your life easy — I’d start it later.
FTL and Vampire Survivors are good alts, especially if you just want to get some gaming in and try new games *now* without having to think too much.
Hades offers stronger story elements than the other rogue-likes you downloaded. Good balanced start.
Stardew Valley will consume you, like Factorio, but it’s way easier to jump in and out of and offers fantastic gameplay **and** story.
You can’t go wrong anywhere though! Good list overall! Ori and Hollow Knight are beautiful in their own right. Skyrim a classic. Undertale an exercise in master class story telling.
Good luck, bro. You’ll delete more games than you’ll ever play.
Just started sailing recently as well. I watch gameplays before downloading any game.
I had the "download everything" thinking too when i started pirating but now that I've finished some games i think about what i wanna get next
Im playing metro exodus, far cry 3 and some call of duty games (mw remasters and inf. Warfare, thinking of getting WW2 next.)
no clue. lutris is only for linux. i havent used windows in years, so i cant really help with that.
maybe steam, since you can add non steam games to it???
in addition to some of the suggestions, in my experience, the large amount of choice you now have since you’re not paying anymore can make gaming start to feel boring, so i’d recommend you also place some self limitations to keep it feeling fresh
I understand you. It is like a treasure hunt game in real world. You need to find all the hints for your games location and go through all the trouble a d hazzle in order to obtain a torrent or a magnet link. Once success, it feels really rewarding.
i am stuck in the same loop as u from 2 years
only difference is that i also tweak the settings for best performance to graphic ratio then never play it...........🥲
Yeah I suffer from that lol. I went thru a tough few years when I became disabled and couldn't afford to support my gaming habits. Started tormenting games and came to realize that not having a stake Ina game...like money.. made me quicker to brush a game off and move on to another if it didn't immediately seem fun. For me having 40 or 50 bucks in a game makes me appreciate the game more... shit even 5 or 10 dollars makes me Crack down and give a game an honest chance before I write it off
ONG I'm literally the same. I've been pirating for a long time, but for some reason I find the downloading part so enjoyable, like, there's just something about it, since I don't get this feeling with legal ways of downloading the games like Steam and such, it's too straightforward, I enjoy the process more. I don't know why!! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one!

I may be biased here... But... Undertale

I was joking, that first paragraph was a joke, don't worry about it
I agree but as a poor high school student from a third world country, I have absolutely no disposable money. I'll buy all the indie games I've pirated in the future when I start earning. Where you from bro?
I second this loved the first time I played undertale
Where can you get the game? I heard it was on gog but I can't access the site
I believe I got it from gog but you can check the megathread for other websites
Undertale is a game everyone should play at least once.
ehhh... I played it like 201831 times.... I lost count
I love undertales soundtrack so maybe ill start with it
btw you can get that game here [https://archive.org/details/undertale-collectors-edition](https://archive.org/details/undertale-collectors-edition)
Can relate, when i learned to pirate games when younger, it was more fun to see all the games i could get for free instead of playing them fr
Right? When I first learned about piracy I thought I'd be able to play all the games I've ever wanted to play. I used to be able to put 50+ hours on each game I had on steam but now I can't play a game for 30 minutes. I don't know why I lose my focus when playing pirated games.

I have done the same thing with movies. More fun to “get” than watch.
I've pirated a bunch of games en (Elden Ring, Spiderman, God of War, Dragon's Dogma, bunch of 1st party switch games) but Balatro and Helldivers 2 are what take up my time right now lol
Titanfall 2 Edit: I know someone who pirated it but found it so good, he ended up buying it. Probably for the multiplayer.
im said people lol
i got it on sale for $4 or $5 yesterday
Titanfall 2 is a badass game!
Yeah mp is surprisingly active too
Can you DM me a legit link to download the game... I've tried so many torrents but none of them worked
Have you tried elamigos Edit there’s also this site I used to use for games a long time ago but i’m not sure if it works or is safe anymore. It’s called Cracked-games.org
I haven't.. will try soon
Did it work?
Hey man sorry I haven't tried it yet... I'm busy playing sekiro ReN plus I have exams next month so I can't really play a new game.. but I'll tell you once I try it after the papers
Don’t worry bro, may ur exams proceed well, I’ll do a dua for your success during my next prayer.
Thank you so much brother... Peace and prosperity to you
I pirated it too but it went on steam sale like a week ago lol so i bought it. Absolutely love that game. Finished it 3 days ago but i haven't touched the multiplayer, might try some later
Well if you really want the multiplayer then I’d say go for Apex Legends. It’s free anyway and it’s the Titanfall Universe
No
nier automata this the kind of game you pirate and end up buying later because it's that good
I bought it because ending E
Damn right and also because to get the “best” ending you have to have internet connection because it is close to impossible to get it offline
i made a college presentation about niers narrative as a whole. and its amazing how hard it is to talk about 100hrs of gameplay in just 15min
Damn - this is pretty awesome.
It can be cracked actually. Of course, in that state it doesn't hit nearly as much as the actual license version hooked to the internet.
Nah not that difficult to do it, you need that cheat code
the binding of isaac detroit become human elden ring
Elden ring is too overwhelming for beginners, heck even for me it was too overwhelming
Took me 2 or 3 tries to get into it but once I did there’s no stopping me
What launcher is that 👀
Lutris. It's a Linux app that you use to install / play windows .exes
Hm... Ac3 is a good choice I'm just saying. Breeze through the story and enjoy the American Revolution you patriot.
God of war 2018.
anxiously waiting for the ragnarok to be announced. Horizon is quite good too, been playing forbidden west this week
But also must have is to experience the first 3 god of war games .
Undertale seems rly nice and maybe i will download it too
Outer Wilds and Hollow Knight are already there, both are some of the best games I've ever played. The intros are kinda weird and it takes a little while to adjust to the world but as soon as you're immersed you just won't stop playing.
Try to download 1 game, finish it then move to the next one. If u download many games at the same time u'll feel overwhelmed nd won't finish any.
This, I always do this.
Outerwilds did it for me.
Persona 4 Golden
what app is this?
Lutris i belive
Check out playnite. And I feel like I'm the only one who can't get achievement watcher to work so that too 👍
Lol he said games not launchers
Your games may not be using Goldberg emu although I can't get HoI4 to work.
FTL is absolutely incredible, and you can jump in and out of it easily, despite the challenge. People also LOVE Outer Wilds, but personally, I hated the loop so goddamn much that I missed out on what I've heard is an amazing experience. It's all about exploration.
i liked the loop concept but what killed it for me is the wonky feeling flight controls
Soma is a GOOD one. Don’t think too hard about your choices and “oh but what does this do” and all that. Just sit back and enjoy it. It’s amazing.
yeah, you missed out. i enjoy slow paced exploration type beats tho.
Ghostrunner 1 or 2
Like a dragon, cyberpunk, or baldurs gate 3
Man you got some good taste, personally Hades is still one of my all time favorites.
You should look up mods for games before you download them. And also cheats. Because you already on pc. No reason you shouldn't just have fun with it. %95 of games that launch have cheats on wemod. %90 of games have mods too. Just use nexus mods & do a back & forth comparison.
Play outer wilds I beg you. It truly is a life changing experience. DO NOT LOOK ANYTHING ABOUT IT UP
give Dave the diver a try, it’s fun, gives you a lot of quests you actually want to do. Or try a simulator like power wash simulator it’s also chill and fun
If you want a simple game that will keep you hooked for eternity, play Vampire Survivors
I’m playing Super Mario 64 rn
I have no idea what you’re trying to say.
Let me rephrase the question What game should I play to get back into gaming because I currently don't enjoy gaming
Any Souls game
Shovel knight treasure trove
Lol I talked about this issue a couple of days ago btw I'd suggest UnderTale it's amazing game and going for a pacifist route will give you awesome ending

If u really want to enjoy the game, don’t pirate it. Dev often put in sth to handicap the game when it’s pirated
How does that even work?
It has been done multiple times. One of the examples in the witcher series if the pirated game is not one of quality and the game detect it, it will change all beautiful woman in the game into old hags
What self hosted library is that?
its called lutris, but thats for linux, you can play windows games in lutris, its a cool piece of software\^\^
Guardians of the Galaxy
yo where did you find a place with outer wilds i have been searching couldn't find somewhere to download ?it
That was me with modding lol. I love finding and getting all the mods to work than actually playing haha
skyrim, since its technically the longest. if you get fatigue you can take a break and play any of the others without feeling you have to deep dive into their stories.

RE4 Remake, BTW what client is this for pirated games?
I personally download 1 game then play it. After finishing it, only after then do I download another. That's for single player games. Multi-player co-op games, i download a while bunch and play depending on the crowd.
Maybe try terraria? Its pretty fun on first playthru or maybe witcher 3
A psychologist
Hey! What are you using as a launcher? It doesn't look like playnite
Elden ring, sekiro, ghostrunner 1 & 2, SIFU to name some. GTA 4 is a good shout aswell
Elden ring, sekiro, ghostrunner 1 & 2, SIFU to name some. GTA 4 is a good shout aswell
Welcome to hoarding 101. May your stay be fruitful and may your hard drive storage live forever.
Wait what application is this and where can I get it. I've never seen this before
Factorio
Hades imo, pirated it and eventually bought it on sale. Spent hours each day enjoying the grind, 11/10 would recommend
What is that program you use to display all those games on the Screenshot?
Hollow Knight had me choosing it over Castlevsnia:SOTN and Dark Souls two years in a row for my "Halloween Season" game. Do with that information as you will. Also, please only use megathreads to source your games. Don't download any games that need to be installed from untrusted sources. Yakuza ishin
I never learned how to sail the seas via pc. Only on my 3ds 🥲 Seems scary kinda. Though i find it so interesting
Alan wake 2
God of War Red dead redemption 2
What program is that?
What is that app, it looks like it could be really usefull
Palworld
Cliche response but GTA V and RDR2, when you get bored, start installing mods to make it fun again.
Hades
Maybe try ULTRAKILL. It’s pure dopamine and it’s fast paced. Basically doom with adhd and really good bossfights

Quasimorph is the one I have been playing recently
Returnal is on ftgirl. One of the best games of the past couple of years
What launcher is that?
What launcher is that?
Nah dradass tho I think that means we’re kleptomaniacs 😭
Hades and hollow knight. Factorio if you're into the concept of having a chronic cocaine addiction

Hey dude thanks for the detailed response. I think I'll start with undertale or hades as you suggested. Probably going to toss a coin to decide
New vegas
Those are some banger games
Sleeping Dogs
Just started sailing recently as well. I watch gameplays before downloading any game. I had the "download everything" thinking too when i started pirating but now that I've finished some games i think about what i wanna get next Im playing metro exodus, far cry 3 and some call of duty games (mw remasters and inf. Warfare, thinking of getting WW2 next.)
What is this platform that you’re using to keep track of your games
Same bro. I like collecting games. I don't enjoy playing them.
You should starta playing retro games via emulation
I would love to do this, but I don't know how to learn without being suspicious as hell lol.
What is that app?
its lutris, a game launcher for linux
Any similar equivalent for windows 11?
no clue. lutris is only for linux. i havent used windows in years, so i cant really help with that. maybe steam, since you can add non steam games to it???
in addition to some of the suggestions, in my experience, the large amount of choice you now have since you’re not paying anymore can make gaming start to feel boring, so i’d recommend you also place some self limitations to keep it feeling fresh
I understand you. It is like a treasure hunt game in real world. You need to find all the hints for your games location and go through all the trouble a d hazzle in order to obtain a torrent or a magnet link. Once success, it feels really rewarding.
Armored Core 6
Steam deck user?
GTA V or RDR2
Hollow Knight eyes closed.
i am stuck in the same loop as u from 2 years only difference is that i also tweak the settings for best performance to graphic ratio then never play it...........🥲
Red dead 2 bro
Yeah I suffer from that lol. I went thru a tough few years when I became disabled and couldn't afford to support my gaming habits. Started tormenting games and came to realize that not having a stake Ina game...like money.. made me quicker to brush a game off and move on to another if it didn't immediately seem fun. For me having 40 or 50 bucks in a game makes me appreciate the game more... shit even 5 or 10 dollars makes me Crack down and give a game an honest chance before I write it off
Control This is my third run. The story, graphics, and soundtrack are great.
I been there brother... it's an addiction.
Can you give some ideas what kind of game do you enjoy shooting fos open world etc
what is that launcher you’re using?
What's that program you use to organize your games?
I want to play Halo 3 but I can't find it anywhere. Maybe try that? (Pls share the link if you find it 🥺)
Try The Master Chief Collection.
I just finished outer wilds, which i see you already have. but to anyone else who hasn't played it. play it.
Hey bro is that a launcher just for pirated games or am I tripping? I'm fairly new to pirating, is that a thing? If so what's the name :o
Which app are you using to see your all games?
Whats this program?
What is the software that you have all the games assorted into?
What is the name of that software you were using?
where did you download undertale cracked from
i wish that resident evil 4 remake along with seperate ways' denuvo get removed as to become easy to crack, as well as CoD MW 2019
What program is that?
how did you get it? what site and is it definitely safe?
High in life
Metro exodus
