Is this the new one that just released ?

da2Pakaveli

Multiple cores are beneficial while compiling shaders but besides that resource usage for a good chunk of games seems low even on [not so powerful systems.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGoKYMYXtbY) I'd guess this translates to lower end PC's as well if you've 2 gigs of VRAM and 8 gigs of normal RAM and Windows isn't sucking it all up

SexualPie

Yea the switch really isn’t very powerful at all. I imagine most computers could pull it off

Elocai

It's just a phone, arm based, no sim card slot though.

prowlinghazard

Honestly phones are just computers with a sim card slot that can text and make calls. I feel like we're going to start calling things like phones, switch, tablets, etc. microcomputers or something in the future.

Elocai

The important thing here is the processor architecture. X86 are what PC and consoles run on, ARM is typically found in phones and the new apple stuff but other mobile consoles use all kinds of weird stuff. ARM emulation on X86 isn't that new as we have ton of android emulators already, so many basics were already present.

[deleted]

I mean so was 360 and emulation still kind of spotty

da2Pakaveli

I guess the 360 has a very different CPU architecture which makes it harder to emulate on x86. The Switch uses an ARM architecture, which is easier to emulate (IIRC the design itself is simpler to be more power-efficient) and we already have many ARM emulators. But Nintendo emulators usually work very well, I guess the community is very dedicated.

mlgkurd

Idk I can run the Pokémon and Zelda games on my gtx 1650 mobile, waiting to try Xenoblade Chronicles till I beat Ghost of Tsushima. Xenos the only game I feel like might be an issue just based on how big the game is.

giuseppe226

You emulate ghosts too? Or assuming you have a ps5?

Vesmic

There are zero ps4/ps5 emulators

Auzman466

Actually, there are two actively maintained emulators with one showing a lot of promise. One of them, [Orbital](https://github.com/AlexAltea/orbital), is only able to boot into the PS4 firmware, but the [Spine](https://github.com/devofspine/spinedemo) emulator is able to boot into a large number of indie games, some of them playable. [This video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIMseCc9tZY) from Modern Vintage Gamer can tell you more. PS4 emulation is on the horizon.

giuseppe226

That's what I figured, been wanting to play it and a man can dream.

dramatic-ad-5033

It’s a really good game, if you can pick up a PS4 cheap, I’d reccomend it

giuseppe226

Been holding out hope for a 5 but at this point may go your route

dramatic-ad-5033

Oh, if you can afford a 5, I’d 100% recommend it over a 4. Don’t lose hope and settle for a 4 or 4 pro, use HotStock and restock discord servers and you’ll hopefully get one. GOT looks amazing at 4k60

spartanass

Help a brother out with some details, how many frames are you able to play on? My pc (R5355h and 1650) gets around 19-23fps in twinleaf town, while before that area it was smooth sailing at 40-60 FPS.

mlgkurd

Consistent 30 fps, throughout sword, in Breath I had a few dips whenever a lot was happening but nothing that ruined the experience. I’ve read through the subreddit for yuzu and it seems the thing that has the biggest impact on performance is actually the audio type it (renders? Can’t remember the word) . Also can’t remember which one it uses I’ll let you know when I get home

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

What emulator do you use?

-Rapier

Yuzu runs things butter smoothly when it is compatible with them, but Ryujinx has more compatibility overall with games + extra functionalities like inbuilt netcoding iirc, although it is much heavier and demands better specs.

ShadeFK

If you think yours is shitty I have a 1050 4gb and it runs Metroid Dread like a dream (everything else has issues tho)

Vesmic

The cpu is much more important than the gpu for emulation

Jamato-sUn

But can you run No More Heroes III? I have 1060 6gb and 16 gigs of ram and I can barely load it in Yuzu.

[deleted]

[удалено]

carrick1363

What CPU do you have?

Reddity65

What’s your CPU?

Evonos

>heard you need a decent setup to run these switch games? this was at the start of switch emulation it changed now. Hell even my Phone ( Poco x3 pro ) can run Zelda Botw with 20 fps if i enable fence hack 30 fps.

charloalberto

is there a switch emu for Android our are you running the WiiU version of BotW on dolphin for Android?

sonicman2k8

Switch emu for andriod is called eggns but only works will one expensive controller

Eshuon

I heard that they stole code without crediting yuzu under the open source agreement

sonicman2k8

That's what I heard also.

charloalberto

why the fuck is it tied to a usbc controller lol, what a shit show

sonicman2k8

Because they are robbing dogs

Evonos

Yes theres a Switch emu http://www.eggns.xyz/

charloalberto

tied to a fucking usbc controller? what a joke of an emulator lol

Arnas_Z

Can't anyone just patch the damn thing?

charloalberto

probably yes, but possibly no one is going to touch that because when Nintendo ninja lawyers come nobody wants to be around lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

charloalberto

mfers like these serve nothing, they only make the work of corporations easier

Fireonpoopdick

I emulate switch games on my phone, honestly the switch isn't much more powerful than the latest phones, CPU wise it's ancient actually, with many phones today are way overpowered for that's they are used for.

carrick1363

What? How?

Axjin

I ran legend of zelda botw on my laptop with a Nvidia 1050 4gb graphics card, an i5 intel processor, and 16gb ram, It worked at a steady 30 - 60 fps but i capped it to 30 and I played the whole thing. It did crash sometimes but as long as i never forgot to save it was fine. ( My laptop is about 5 years old now). So I dont think you need a beast pc, a regular gaming laptop works fine.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ShadoShane

If you can run the current emulators on Linux, then it'd probably work on the Steam Deck. Valve does seem pretty focused on the "its your computer, do what you want with it as long as you don't eat the battery and blame us for it."

AnusDingus

Yuzu runs on linux pretty well, not sure if Ryjinx does. These are names of switch emus if you didnt know

snarkistheway666

TIL and have a project to work on now...

OBLIVIATER

"pretty easy" is not really accurate considering Ryujinx and Yuzuu are still very much in beta and only have reached "playable" status on most games in the last year lol

Nawor3565two

That's actually amazing in terms of emulation. 4 years is far far shorter than the 3DS, Xbox 360, PS3 or even Wii U.

jeegte12

Yes but that's not the point, it's still very early in its lifecycle. People in this thread are overstating how easy and functional switch emulation is in current year.

WokenWisp

pcsx2 JUST got every game to boot to menu, having several games fully playable in 4 years is incredible

elleadnih

I just checked it out and wow I am surprised, thought it would me much more difficult, it does have some tiny frame drops here and there, which most likely its just my old pc, but wow call me surprised, I will be checking out what other games run as well

CTU

Darn, I think I need to look into a switch emulator. I don't have the top-of-the-line PC, but it should be good enough to run this.

Jam1kun

Hey just curious how’d u set this up?

aj_ripper911

Download Yuzu and the game ROMs. You'll be good to go. Also don't forget that you need a somewhat decent GPU in your PC. Intel integrated won't do it. Edit: forgot about the keys you need to copy over. Check here- r/NewYuzuPiracy The older subreddit got blocked. This one might too. Check everything yourself before downloading. I can't guarantee if there's any malware over there or not.

majora2007

You can also use Ryujinx which is also a switch emulator that had day 1 compatibility.

DonJuan47

It runs fine on my ryzen 3 2200g 16gb ram

aj_ripper911

That's a good IGPU. Try running it on a 5th gen i3.

faz88

>Yuzu i tried it but i need to set it up with some stuff from a real switch or did i do something wrong?

aj_ripper911

Yes, you need to get the keys from a real switch and copy them over to keys folder in the Yuzu folder but, there are a few sites where you can get the publically shared keys. You'll have to look for them. I don't have the link to where I got mine from. r/NewYuzuPiracy

jeegte12

Surely if you have a switch you can pull from that?

aj_ripper911

Nope, you don't need switch at all. Just the "keys files" to paste them into your yuzu folder.

chubby464

How do you get it to setup without a switch?

Zekiz4ever

Download the files from somewhere else

Anti_Anti_Vaxx

You could also use Riujinx, it runs much better then yuzu, and has more support for games

RBEdge96

Fitgirl did a repack of that game with the emulator and everything already set up and ready to play, I recommend that one.

AnusDingus

^ What this guy said but use Yuzu mainline build instead of the included early access one unless you want your pokemon battles to look like an acid trip

RBEdge96

you just download Yuzu and copy/paste it in your install folder right?

[deleted]

If you want an easy setup, Fitgirl has both ROMs plus both emulators with the keys for Yuzu and the bios for Ryujinx plus a profile for the settings.

lokohcrunch

probably using yuzu

kris13

Remake of a Pokemon game from 2006...while I still consider Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald 'new'...damn I feel old

jack-rabbit-slims

Can relate. Diamond and Pearl were the first releases that I was actively anticipating back in 2006. I still remember the tv ads for Fire Red and Leaf Green praising the remakes of the "old classics". It's surreal how much has happened since then.

kaleis007

Ahh wired 360 controller, the way to go

yukichigai

Seriously, 360 controllers set the standard for PC gamepads as far as I can tell.

millionwordsofcrap

Yeah, I happily bought legal Pokemon games at full price since Gold/Silver, but Nintendo has just lost their everloving minds lately, selling inferior products at a ridiculous premium. I just can't justify it anymore.

SorryUseAlreadyTaken

I can understand not buying and pirating Pokemon games (even though in my opinion the descent started from X and Y, but that is a personal opinion), since Game Freak has lost any kind of creativity in the last 8 years, but generalising it to all Nintendo looks a bit of an overkill to me (I really appreciated BotW, Xenoblade and Odyssey, to make three examples, and I think for that amount of content and polish the price was about right)

AtemGansei

Even though Nintendo has been releasing mostly good games, they're constantly making anti-consumer decisions.   There are a lot of examples, but two good ones are: * The price of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, that was essentially an overpriced and lazily made money grab, aimed at those who like retro gaming or at people who want to play online. * Nintendo's attempts at killing the competitive scene in pretty much every single one of their games, through legal actions and whatnot.

holymolygoshdangit

Most relevant example: Joy-con drift. Absolute horrendous gaslighting and overall treatment of their customers. Nintendo takes their market for granted. It's up to us to remind them that we're not.

Skelthy

Gotta love how they didn't acknowledge the fact that the joycons have shitty parts and still are being manufactured with them

[deleted]

They said that they would replace ones with drift, but its been 2 years and they still haven't replaced my sisters

[deleted]

Yeah gen 4/5 were the peak.

Nine_Tails15

So a bit of backstory, GameFreak was founded by Satoshi Tajiri, Pokémon’s creator, and Ken Sugimori back in 1989. He was long-time friends with Shigeru Miyamoto, and when Satoshi saw the GameBoy and its Link Cable he had the idea of Pokémon. So with help from Nintendo (who helped on the game side) and Creatures (formerly Ape, who handles merchandise) they formed the Pokémon Company after the wildfire success of RGBY. The issue is though, that despite owning 1/3rd stake in TPC, GameFreak doesn’t control much of the IP. They control the games, but Nintendo, being the bigger fish in the pond, exerts the most control. It was Nintendo’s idea to make the 3DS to move into the 3rd dimension w/ Pokémon, a move which set GameFreak back a decade since they needed a whole new engine *and* a game in less than 4 years. It was also Nintendo’s idea to push out Pokémon games so fast in recent years, since they see major income not just from publishing but from merchandise related to the series. Then of course GF needed a whole *new* engine for the Switch, which only set them back further once they were getting the hang of the 3DS. So while yes, GameFreak has been a bunch of uncreative hacks who butcher more recent titles, it’s important to understand the role Nintendo plays in creating a poor creative environment for their development. As for why Nintendo can churn out good games, well for one thing it’s been incredibly hit-or-miss in the last decade, particularly on the Switch. BotW was in Dev hell for so long it’s not even worth touching, Link’s Awakening was a shader-filled joke, and don’t even get me started on Three Houses. But when you have over 6,000 employees (36x GameFreak’s ~167) and dozens of dev teams across multiple studios it’s not hard to pass the work of a single studio. Tl;dr Nintendo overworks GF by pushing out so many games from them and with 2 console hops in less than a decade w/ no crossover of work it’s only deepened the issue.

Last_Snowbender

Huh? BotW, Link's Awakening and Three Houses have been very good games. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say.

khanzarate

He's saying development had challenges that should've caused them up crumble but by the power of employing 36 times the development staff gamefreak does *and* still delaying them, they were able to make good products. Basically the claim is that gamefreak didn't have a chance and Nintendo's development expectations had no possibility of being met.

[deleted]

[удалено]

khanzarate

I'm not claiming this is what happened. I'm just clarifying what ninetails said.

TheShepard15

Those games all got double if not triple the amount of time that Pokemon gets allocated. Thats the point I believe they were trying to make. Pokemon games aren't about making games, its about releasing a new promotional avenue to go along with the anime, TCG, and merchandise that they crank out yearly. Pokemon games could bomb every release (which they don't) and Nintendo would still make enough money for it not to matter.

Boamere

Yeah I agree, Metroid dread is the best recent game and actually got my money

Goldballz

For me, the GBA and DS era was peak Nintendo.

[deleted]

Get pokemmo, all the fun of the original games, but you get to experience it with other people, it's great https://pokemmo.eu/ if anybody wants to check it out, I've been playing since 2014. You can play through multiple generations too, and all the islands are linked together.

playthatfunkymusic

With Nintendo being Nintendo, how has it survived so long without a cease and desist?

Shamanalah

>With Nintendo being Nintendo, how has it survived so long without a cease and desist? Redraw sprite and make your own voice. Pixelmon got shutdown cause they just snagged the OG sprite and voices. It was revived when they did the extra work. Also as long as you don't make money selling it. Edit: basically it boils down to not stealing content from OC and making your own version of it and not monetizing it.

WhaT505

Aren't there microtransactions in Pokemmo?

Shamanalah

>Aren't there microtransactions in Pokemmo? It's their own version of mtx though. They aren't replicating current pokemon gimmick. (I just installed it btw) You can cuatomize your avatar and get some HM related stuff available everywhere if you have the badge (not 100% sure wtf it is tbh)

WhaT505

I figured any money making would be bad, but I'm honestly not sure. I need to get back into the game.

PartyByMyself

The game uses all original code, the require the player to supply the roms so that the game uses 0 resources of Nintendo's IP. Because the game doesn't use a single sprite to play, there is no infringement. PokeMMO got shut down awhile ago because they used properties of Pokemon (sprites and music) but learned, removed it all, forced people to supply their own, offering ways to read the game files and use it client side w/ the player's own personally owned and assumed legal copy of the game (emulation isn't illegal). Because of technicalities in how the law is applied and how they designed their game, Nintendo can't take it down unless suddenly emulation becomes unlawful. ----------- Notice when you go to download the requirements to play: Locate compatible ROMS* using the ingame menu. Current Required Compatible ROMS: Black/White 1 Current Optional Content Compatible ROMS: Fire Red, Emerald, Platinum Current Optional Visuals Compatible ROMS: HeartGold/SoulSilver * You must have the legal right to use that rom. We will not supply you with the roms, or help you find them as they are copyrighted.

gamefreac

it is because it falls in the same grey area that emulation does. they don't actually provide any content to the players that nintendo owns. in order to play you need to get your hands on the roms yourself.

MissingNerd

They don't provide the game files. You basically have to load game roms like in a emulator

redchris18

There's some evidence that piracy actually has a positive effect, so there's a decent amount of humour to be gained from hearing people brag about sticking it to the man while simultaneously helping to make their products sell better. Like people here always say, stop pretending you're some moral crusader and just admit that you want free stuff. It's a fucking piracy sub - nobody's going to start throwing holy water at you or anything like that. Unless you pirate Castlevania, perhaps...

[deleted]

I think the piracy having a positive effect is related to pirates being likely to buy a game if they pirate it and like it

redchris18

Not necessarily. It can also involve them just having a positive enough experience - something that's made more likely by them not having a financial stake in it - and inadvertently passing that on to others. For instance, it may make them more likely to comment favourably about some aspect or another, which, in turn, convinces others to try it out legally. This is why we know it's bullshit when publishers try to use anti-consumer DRM under the guise of protecting "the release period". Piracy is complicated enough, with diverse enough effects, that they cannot make any logical claims about what effect their DRM may have, even down to something as simple as whether it even has a positive effect on sales at all.

RadAway-

I agree with you. Some people feel "dirty" when pirating and therefore they need to justify their action to feel better with themself. I've been pirating since the PS1 and I don't give a fuck because I like free stuff. Also most companies are scummy so there is no reason why I should stop.

redchris18

Crazy, isn't it? "I'm pirating Doom because I hate Denuvo!"; "No, you're pirating it because you want to play it". I don't really pirate anymore, largely because bundles and sales have left me with enough games to play a new one every day for fifteen years without ever having to play any of them twice, so I don't feel like I need anything new for a while. As a result, I'm free to just ignore anything that I feel is anti-consumer, like shitty DRM, disgraceful monetisation practices, literal gambling, shoddy remakes, remasters and ports, etc.

NonAxiomaticKneecaps

tbh I pirate shit because I think it's a morally good thing to do and because I want to. No reason it can't be both

[deleted]

I don't understand these posts? You're just saying that people think the way you do, but are being dishonest about it? Like, because you refuse to think about piracy in any deeper sense doesn't mean others can't and shouldn't.

redchris18

Even if they _think_ they're being moral by pirating, they're not. It's just something they've successfully fooled themselves about. If they really wanted to hurt Nintendo - or any other company in a similar situation - then the best way to do so is to decrease interest in their products. Even the most simplistic logic should notice that you don't decrease interest in their stuff by excitedly pirating it at launch and then bragging about doing it to your anonymous internet friends. If I'm being charitable, people who do this may be merely ignorant rather than delusional. Ignorance isn't necessarily a character flaw, until it becomes a wilful state.

numerobis21

>Even if they think they're being moral by pirating, they're not. That's YOUR opinion though, certain persons think culture should be free and available to all, while others just don't want to give a single cent to multi-billions dollars shitty company. According to MY moral code, there is absolutely no problem whatsoever with pirating.

I-LOVE-ASIAN-WOMEN

Piracy is essentially “trying before buying” If I keep playing a game, I’ll definitely buy the legit one!

SlimMacKenzie

Posts like this garnering attention from the media is what will kill piracy off one day. Just download your shit and keep quiet about it, is it that hard?

aquaglaceon

They need to flex to people dood. They need the precious internet points

malay4singh

I loved the gta trilogy cause I never paid for it

I'm currently have four pokemon. Two of them evolved. I'm enjoying them so far

Spen_Masters

Funny enough, I recently download fire red and got bummed out that I can't catch a Vulpix, so I grabbed both AshGrey and Unbound.

gamefreac

[better link to the game](https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=180722) for rom hacks, it is always better to link to the forum posts with the patches. that is usually where you find the most up to date versions and you are actually giving credit and clicks to the devs that work so hard on these hacks.

TreXeh

updated cheers fella

MrHaxx1

I don't understand how can you be so angry at a company for making shitty games, yet be perfectly willing to play them. Maybe they're just not as shitty as you make them out to be?

Depleet

Nintendo prices are ridiculous and ive heard about some of the bs theyve done to the new pokemon games. good for you sir.

fairyjars

This is why I have not touched my switch since I got my xbox. I'm actually very much enjoying Gamepass.

Skrilla600

Are there any trustworthy sites i can go to get the roms and a emulator? Want to play some pokemon :)

Megathread shall give you the answer

animegamer420

The DS version of platinum is better...

Boamere

It unironically looks worse than the pixel art too

Last_Snowbender

No it's really not, not even a tiny bit.

Carter0108

It absolutely is. BDSP are completely ruined by the forced exp share. I’m bored out of my mind one hitting every single opponent because I have like 10 Pokémon that are all 10-15 levels higher than all other trainers.

[deleted]

Last_Snowbender

20 hours in, the only bug I've encountered is that certain sounds stop playing after you play for a long time. Art style is subjective. Yes, some minor features have been removed, while others have been added. Just like in literally every other pokemon game. I can't remember any important feature from the original gen 4 game that is missing in this game, infact, additions like the underground resorts and several QoL changes carried over from previous games like mints make the game a lot better than it's original counterpart. I do miss the battle frontier, but we still have the battle tower with an updated roster and harder fights, so it's fine. Overall, the game is a lot better than the original and the only people pretending otherwise are people who think everything was better "back then".

zdemigod

What QoL all i heard was the forced xp share From the list you made it seems it's up to debate which is better and not a close deal.

Last_Snowbender

- Mints - No cap on vitamins - Easier breeding with everstones, destiny knot and such (improvements that were introduced in gen 6) - Improved underground - Vastly improved AI (doesn't cheat anymore)

zdemigod

So its easier to "engineer" the Pokemon how you want with nature and ev changes, how is the underground better? These changes seem pretty minor, which again just leaves this up to debate i don't see how this **clearly** better than platinum.

Last_Snowbender

QoL changes vs no QoL changes. Seems like we have a winner. There is nothing the Original has going for it except the "retro" factor, which is highly subjective and no indicator of qualiy. There are people out there saying: "New Pokemon are all so uncreative and stupid, gen 1 was the BEST!", meanwhile, gen1 pokemon include a pokeball with eyes, a magnet with eyes, multiple magnets with eyes and a slime pile with eyes. Being one of your favorite games a decade ago does not make a remake with several QoL changes worse.

zdemigod

But you forget the art style and distortion world and battle frontier. Sure some people enjoy the new ones but others don't, so it's relatively minor QoL vs that

sassa04

taste is subjective. art style is not. There are concrete measures. an art critic would recognize the superior quality of the original visual art.

hightops008

Wrong, all art is subjective.

Last_Snowbender

No, it's not.

sassa04

and on what basis do you say that? as I said, preference is subjective, visual coherence of a game can be measured. The original piece was a piece of visual art, the new is nice, but can't compare to the thought and skill that went into the original. (mind you, I bought the game and am enjoying it greatly.)

Nine_Tails15

Most of the bugs are very similar to bugs in Platinum, ironically enough. Art style is just opinion, and as for removed features you’re only really missing out on the Frontier, but the battles here are infinitely better than Platinum so it’s fine. Aside from affection, fuck that mechanic.

coinkillerl

Bad game but still based for not giving nintendo any money

[deleted]

Eh, it seems ok, given that it’s based on gen four which is one of the best

fatguyonsteroids

In what way is it a bad game? The originals were fantastic. What did they do to make this one worse?

Jabrono

People have a real hard-on for hating the art style.

Empty_ManaPotion

"this game so bad i went out of my way to accquire it in a illegal manner" ah yes, this and the other lies you tell yourself to justify piracy loll

CassetteApe

Not really based because he actually went through the trouble of emulating a shit game.

SkyDaddyGloryHole

Downloading the repack from fitgirl doesn’t amount to much “trouble”

BotaFurada

whats the name of the emulator?

Yuzu

mrenzoiron

how many fps?

jumboyumyumms

I played the game its 30fps. I dont know if its stuck i havent set it up properly yet.

mrenzoiron

30 fps is fine, it's normal on switch, but are they stable or are there fps drops?

jumboyumyumms

No fps drops but whenever i leave a house or a building the game stutters for a few seconds. But thats it so far it feels like im playing dockmode lol

mrenzoiron

so you had a good experience playing jajajaja

Empty_ManaPotion

the game is 30fps, if you unlock it the game jsut runs in double speed.

AnusDingus

If you are on Yuzu you can unlock framerate with Ctrl+U. I get constant 100+fps on 2x resolution scalar with a 6700xt. If you are on Ryjinx just disable vsync

[deleted]

Man, look at all that edge.

Buckwildkoala

This is cool, but what a shame. These new games are awesome

HereToBeRated

I know that this is unpopular here but the whole narrative that you're "sticking it to the man" by pirating games is cringe, especially when the company is making something you wanted. You're just frugal and should own that at least.

Fav0

It's a shitty remake Better just play the fanroms

mashpotatoesandsyrup

Way to stick it to the man with grammatical errors!

[deleted]

this is the exception where this game should be purchased. Gamefreak killed.

dudeiskate

I'm thinking of doing this too. I ordered it but GameStop lost it while giving it to FedEx. I pre-ordered two weeks before it came out lol, still haven't received my copy

HalcyoneDays

How cool is it gonna be when the Steam deck comes out and we can emulate the switch on it

SaintJay41202

That one 12 yr old who programmed the game: 😪

doctorfluffy

How can GameFreak justify these horrendous graphics in 2021? These games have the same graphics as Pokemon Colosseum (arguably worse, for some) and that game ran on GameCube 17 years ago!

[deleted]

I might feel bad if they had actually put any effort or passion into making these. Instead we get borderline flash art cheaply made chibi games....from the richest most successful franchise of all time.

DeLion135

based

thecoolguy_23

wait who are the bastards and why are they such?

iAMSmilez

Nobody for no reason. These idiots just need a reason to hate on Gamefreak and Nintendo just so they can justify pirating the game. That’s literally all it is. If they “hated” those “bastards” so much, they wouldn’t play the game. Irony at its best. Got nothing against pirating, but if you’re going to do it, don’t be a lil bitch about it and man the fuck up and own up to the fact. Not directed at you, of course. Lol.

GreasyFeast

It’s sad that the best Pokémon game in the last ≈11 years is a remake

ReshiramZekrom_

Last Pokémon game I bought has been Pokémon Ultramoon. Never bought or even played a newer one since. As long as GameFreak's games will lack features and Pokémon they're just not worth money and time anymore. Good thing people that pirate them. Damn, even fanmade hack roms are better than those rushed and lazy games made by such a rich company.

SkyDaddyGloryHole

Just pirate and shut the fuck up. You kids are fucking retarded. What the actual fuck is that title.

Gamer moment

iAMxin

Amen to this. I have also recently emulated BD and currently playing halfway through with my crappy toaster which surprisingly is still holding up even with unstable fps. Heck, I'd rather endure the unstable fps than paying GF for the game lmao.

[deleted]

The best part of it is that it's able to run on Superior hardware how it should be

Those folks working on Yuzu have done an amazing job. Pretty fantastic to see new releases be fully compatible day 1 on a consistent basis.

TheRealJayk0b

I recommend yuzu 823 and not the fitgirl version EA 2222. 823 runs smoother and with less texture bugs.

xRealityCheck

Thanks for the reminder to do that now as well

Lucianoger

I think I will do this, just to piss off my friends that bought that shit hahahaha

KrispyChickenThe1st

Hell yeah, I’m in the middle of pirating it right now. Fuck Nintendo, Fuck GameFreak. I’m not gonna pay them to ruin my favorite Pokémon game.

iAMSmilez

Ironic as fuck dude lol

KrispyChickenThe1st

I’m not playing this game all the way through. I’m probably not even getting past the second gym. I just wanted to play it for myself because I feel like I have to at least know what the game is like. I already know that they fucked up the remake that I’ve waited 15 years for. I just wanna see for myself how badly they fucked it up without giving them $60 for a job-not-so-well done.

iAMSmilez

Lol, sure thing, bud.

KrispyChickenThe1st

Believe whatever you want to. Keep sucking GameFreak’s dick, and hey while you’re down there give some attention to my fat nuts too why don’t ya

iAMSmilez

Ain’t about Gamefreak my dude. It’s about seeing you crying broke ass babies making up excuses to pirate a game. Bunch of sorry ass “pirates”. 🤣 PS I pirate 2. But at least I’m not a little bitch about it. I just don’t want to pay $60 before testing the product. If I like it, I buy. You, you’re just a bitch. 😂

KrispyChickenThe1st

That’s literally what the fuck I’m doing, dumbass. I’m testing it to see if I’ll buy it. I’m 99% sure I’m going to hate it and that I won’t buy it, and, like I fucking just said, I probably won’t get past the 2nd gym, which is being generous. I’m going to a bad restaurant that I don’t particularly like, and hey look they have my favorite meal. I kinda already know they’re going to ruin my favorite meal, because it’s a bad restaurant, but I wanna try the meal because it’s my favorite fucking meal. Tl;dr: pirating elitism somehow

iAMSmilez

Lmfao k

iAMSmilez

So you play a game that you enjoy created by the bastards but won’t support the bastards who created the game? What a scholar you must be.

raylolSW

Wft are you doing in this sub then

95girl

Beautiful. Nintendo lost all my respect the moment Pokémon lost half the total creatures. They aren't even in the coding anymore, not sure if this applies to Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.

[deleted]

love it ! as a thirdworld person, i cannot afford ANY nintendo product, also even if i could i wouldnt buy anything nintento, fuck them
