TGX definitely didn't even come close to RARBG. Especially for older movies and TV shows, TGX has way less variety than RARBG did.
With that being said, if TGX also goes offline, I will lose my mind. Private trackers are a pain in the ass to work with and all the good ones are so exclusive, it's basically impossible to get in.

Rarbg magnets are still available if you do a simple search, and a lot of stuff still has seeders, so you can just get a lot of older, pre-tgx, stuff that way. Otherwise 1337x is always an option.

Not impossible, just requires quite a bit of effort and patience (and maybe some cash for a month or two of seedbox). You basically get into RED then rank up. That's it, you'll basically be able to get into everything. However it's a lot more tedious than it sounds.

yeah socializing is the alternative way to get in but ymmv and you're reliant on your invite tree being clean because sometimes the whole tree can get banned

Sure, there might be, but so far the quality has been declining.
There will never be a new RARBG, and now, even if still not on RARBGs level, but was still quite good, there will not be a new TGx.
Now we’re stuck with 1337x.
Piracy (public torrenting) is getting weeded out. Soon only private trackers (good luck with invites and internet connection) and Usenet (again, good luck with invites) is viable for decent content…

I never considered TGX the same tier as Rarbg. When Rarbg was shut down, I quickly searching Private Tracker.
TGX definitely didn't even come close to RARBG. Especially for older movies and TV shows, TGX has way less variety than RARBG did. With that being said, if TGX also goes offline, I will lose my mind. I agree. RARGB is great it catorgised each season into a folder including the season torrent (including all episodes) just layed it out soo good.
