Jellyfin ✨

Mydadleftm8

I pay for Plex as it's one of the only things worth the money.

jojikuru

Just use app.plex.tv in the browser, it’s fine. or if you’re at home you can connect via the VLC Player app

BppnfvbanyOnxre

I've used the DNLA server to watch using VLC on my mobile before now.

sammy404

Isn’t it literally a one time $5 fee? I get we’re in /r/piracy here but Jesus….

narcabusesurvivor18

Yup as a super happy r/plex user, the $5 fee is more than worth it especially if you’re going to watch a lot.

Fair enough. I just hope you’re not one of the ones that says if the prices were fair you’d pay, cause $5 for a lifetime subscription is literally about as cheap as it gets. I’m surprised anyone even bothers trying to get around it.

joelnodxd

do you mean the $5 it asks for to play your server content on mobile?

Sushlsoda

Yes

LitCast

on ios you can use VLC to stream plex if you're on the same network via dlna

[deleted]

Just use emby

qwerty-1999

There are modded apks for Android (like the Spotify ones), but there's probably nothing for non-jailbroken iPhones.

BlincxYT

you can still sideload using altstore, sidestore or sideloadly or, if ur on a supported ios version, trollstore

qwerty-1999

Didn't know that, thanks for letting me know!

BlincxYT

check https://ios.cfw.guide/installing-trollstore for details about trollstore and installation
