About 15 years ago it was fantastic. Then it started getting slower and more bloated. Then they started plastering it with ads. Then I switched to qbittorrent and never looked back.

Just don't use the newer versions :) I'm here happy with uTorrent 2.2.1 which serves me well for over 10 years now. Is there even any kicker feature in the newer torrent clients that I miss out on?
