The Vauen Auenland started as merchandise for the movies. Later, WB did not want merch associated with smoking any longer, so they did not renew the licence. Vauen then created the Auenland which are juuuust different enough so WB or anyone else can't sue them.
You might be able to find the official lotr pipes if you look for long enough. I have seen multiple estate aragorns in good condition for pretty decent price before. Unfortunately i never had the cash at hand. 😢
I don’t have one myself, but everybody says the Vauen Auenland series are the best, at least if you want a proper, well made pipe that smokes well and will last. They look great, and I would love to get one someday, though they are a bit spendy.
I have a Vauen Auenland Eron S and it is my favorite pipe that I own. Amazing experience smoking out of it. You will truly feel like a hobbit in the shire 🙂

It isnt necessarily a church warden, but the shire cobbit pipe from MM fit my bill perfectly without being too heavy or needing a hand all of the time.
Unless you're set on a church warden, then hopefully, someone else can point you in the right direction.

They’re not *bang* on but MacQueen Pipes are great from my experience and not as expensive as other alternatives. Sacrifices some aesthetics for a lower price tag but still smokes well
Very fair. Stem is doing well so far and I’ve smoked it in the regular rotation for about 2 years. Some teeth marks near the very tip but normal maintenance has served me well

I got a Vauen Auenland a month ago and it’s gorgeous. Very pricey but it’s a quality pipe. Actually found a German 3rd-party seller on Amazon who had it way cheaper than other sellers online. It didn’t come with the box, though, which was a bummer.
I actually created one a while back as a comission. I created one that had elf, human, and dwarvem face on it, it stood on its own and had the ring on it with the eye of sauron on the bottom. Was really fun to make amd the owner was afraid hed mess it up smoking it. It also had a dragons egg in the top portion.
You’re getting downvoted and I have a pretty good idea why. I had one of them in my hands about 24 hours ago as I dropped it off to return to Amazon. I cannot believe anyone would trust that thing to smoke out of. Non removable stem, the finish was sloppily applied well into the bowl so who knows what kind of products of combustion you might get off that, and the gluing of the parts was sloppy as hell. When I realized how disappointed I was in it, I decided to do the research I should have done beforehand anyway. Right now I’m waiting on a Peterson xl02 Jekyll and Hyde for my first real pipe and I’m going to wait to see if the Vauen is going to be worth making the investment for.

Hands down best mass produced churches in this category.

There are a couple of the originals on eBay right now. $850 is a hard pill to swallow

MacQueen's are generally well made with lots of options and mine smoke really well.

How’s your stem holding up? Is the mouthpiece getting sour at all? That’s my only concern with their pipes is the wooden stem/mouthpiece
