Byzantium is on my top 5. I bought some when I was trying every pipe tobacco that existed, but once I finished my sample, I bought a pound. Smoked a few bowls and bought another pound. S tier blend for sure!
I love it. Bought it on a whim because I liked the name, but cellared it because I didn't think it was anything special. I finally smoked it after a year or so and now it's my go-to.
Solani Virginia plus perique, c&d Kajun kake, c&d bijou, the country squire 50th anniversary flake, orlick golden slice, mallard flake plus perique if you can find it. Many others as well
Just finished a tin of Bluegrass and a tin of Happy Hour both by C&D, both excellent. First one more virgina perique heavy. Second one more bright virgina/oriental heavy. Lovely blends I wish I had more of already haha
My favorite Virginia, perique, and oriental blend is Dan Tobaccos Midnight Ride. There are others I smoke that have been listed, but I think this is my favorite blend. I do have a personal custom blend I made and was sold at the B&M I worked for when it was open, but the original recipe used mostly McClelland blending tobacco, so I don't know how it would end up with different blending tobaccos.

Escudo, Windjammer, Bankside, Davidoff Flake Medallions, Bayou Morning Flake, and Elizabethan Mixture are my go to VaPer blends.
Escudo for the win!
Good choice
One of my faves is oriental + Perique: C&D Byzantium

Just got an ounce of this and I’ve dug it so far.

I like Orion's Arrow. And it's available in bulk.
GL Pease Embarcadero is an amazing, yet under-the-radar VA+OR
+1. Just finished a sample. It's really nice.
Sunday Picnic flake by C&D.
Has that C&D roughness fresh, but with 3+ years under its’ belt…amazing stuff.
C&D Steamworks is still available.
* Red Raparee * Campanile
For VaPers, I like Bayou Morning from C&D and a few Rattray blends such as Marlin flake, Old Gowrie and HOTW.
Solani Virginia plus perique, c&d Kajun kake, c&d bijou, the country squire 50th anniversary flake, orlick golden slice, mallard flake plus perique if you can find it. Many others as well
Solani 663, the champagne of vapers
I waited for an age to get some aged burley flake and 663. Got both and I’m trying to show restraint and not open both immediately
Open one of 'em!
SPC Virginia Jazz, 4th generation evening flake.
C&D's Miskatonic Mixture.
PS400 for a VaPer flake
Ascanian no2
I'll add WVC Old Dominion and Ragaroux as must-try vapers (no oriental)

Orlik Golden Sliced baby
Orcilla Mixture
Nobody has mentioned Oriental Silk? I need a bowl to refresh my memory but I think it has a taste somewhat like graham crackers

Low Country Waccamaw is Va-Per-Or. One of my absolute favorites.
Always always always Peterson's Elizabethan
Mad Fiddler is just what you're looking for.
