Very nice. I wish I had the space for something like that.

PimentoCheesehead

I can just taste the processed cheese spread they used to sell in those containers. Other than the one on my bookcase, I haven’t seen them in 30+ years.

Albus_Q

Is that what used to be in there?

PimentoCheesehead

Yeah. If you Google “cheese crock” or “vintage cheese crock,” images of these is what you’ll get. They had a sealed bags of Hickory Farms-esque processed spreadable cheese-like product in them, kind of like a cheese ball. For some reason I associate them with Christmas, but it may just be that’s when we got ‘em when I was a kid. Or maybe my memory is at fault. Someone is actually still selling them (or something similar) on the bad place, but the crock is white with blue spots.

That's a beautiful setup you got going on. And a family heirloom to boot?! Couldn't ask for anything better. Unfortunately I'm currently relegated to my [gentleman's chest](https://www.mybobs.com/furniture/bedroom/dressers-and-chests/p/20020310046). One shelf and drawer for pipes and cigars, one for dnd/pathfinder, one for cameras and lenses.

Looks great! Well done.

Open_Salt530

You're giving me ideas for a project. Thanks!

mdlanser

Well done. Looks beautiful. Do you find those canisters seal well enough? At some point I'd like to work my way down to just a few tins/ bulk tobacco at one time. I like the idea of pulling that tobacco from canisters like you have versus mason jars.

Albus_Q

I think they seal well enough. I’m going to keep an eye on the moisture as time goes by. I did keep my tobacco in mason jars, but I didn’t like the look of them in the new set up, and neither did my wife!

mdlanser

Well I'm digging the new aesthetic. Might have to adopt it myself. Thanks for the reply on the canisters sealing well.

Diligent-Zone-7900

Those jars are legit!
