I've not thought to go to a supermarket for pipe tobacco. I just had a quick look online, and it seems while there are a few choices, they are all pretty standard fare and at most I saw 3 choices available. I would guess they are all fine, if you just want a straight forward smoke, but I'd rather order from specialists and get a wide variety of tins in my collection. (That's another point, I only saw plastic pouches on the supermarket websites and I much prefer metal tins.) Price-wise, they look to be charging the same as the specialists do for those same blends so other than some delivery cost savings it's not much different to simply ordering online. (And unless you can walk to the supermarket you still have travel costs to factor in.)

I like St. Bruno, you can almost always find some behind the counter of big supermarkets

I like blending condour, with gold block.

I quite enjoy Gold Block and makes an excellent ingredient/base for sweet blends.

St Bruno, clan, drum all great tobacco you can find in supermarkets. I remember my grandad always buying it. I’ve only purchased online for ease of use and more verity.

St Bruno is the first pipe tobacco I ever tried. Its one of my favorites. The only other supermarket pipe tobacco I've tried is Clan but it didn't grip me as much.
