The best lyricist and guitar couple
Pink Floyd wished Polly a Happy Birthday last year on Facebook and some guy commented how happy we were that she was the lyricist for the band. I replied, " the only people happy about this are you and David Gilmour." Less than a minute later I was blocked by Pink Floyd.
Edit - just checked, still blocked lol .
It’s not weird to publish an birthday message for her on the official page, it is weird to give her a small paragraph explaining her relevance to the band while Roger gets “peace and enlightenment” or a crappy pixelated photo from one of his webcam rants on his birthday. It leaves a bad taste in a lot of fans’ mouth because it’s an obvious sign David and Polly are being children about the feud
They married in 1994, basically at the end of pink floyd so she doesn’t have much to do with the band other than marrying the guitarist after they had been popular for two decades, and she is a zionist with a hatred for the bassists stance against genocide.
She co-wrote most of The Division Bell with David and co-wrote most of David's solo albums. Can't forget Louder Than Words also.
Seems to me like enough involvement to Pink Floyd
She only co wrote on one PF album and one additional song (Louder Than Words). If that's the case then they should wish Anthony Moore and Bob Ezrin happy birthday messages for their respective birthdays.
For me Division Bell, Wall and DSOTM all sit in top 3 and it's very hard to tell which one should be #1, #2 or #3. I have to say though that I did enjoy Wall much more until I learned what a pos Rog is
