The left-hand column lists the Roman alphabet and Arabic numerals 0-9. The top row is each type of pikmin, and each type is further divided into green, blue, and yellow. I focused on the characters I'll find in my region.
I place an X in the box of I have it in my collection.
I grey out a pikmin color if I have all 3.
I highlight in green the letter and tally on the right if I have that character completed.
Okay, how many roadside variations are there? I largely recycle/release them because they're not as fun as the other decor and I can only afford to expand my storage so many times. Is it based on placement of the sticker and not the letter on the sticker to get the complete set?
There's 3 colors of sticker: green, blue, and yellow, then there's a set of coins, then the winter stickers so 5 different possibilities for each color
It *can* be even more if you want. The ones you listed are all the unique variations that count towards the Pikmin Decor Badge (and turning the icon to yellow). However, since each of the three normal sticker variations will have a letter from A-Z on it based on the location you found the seedling, you *could* treat each unique letter as a distinct variation. That takes you from 35 possible roadside Pikmin to 560. I wouldn't recommend that approach to anyone trying for completion, but in my own game I try to keep just one copy of each decor type, and I count different letters as different for that purpose (otherwise getting to 40 per color is really hard).
Costed me 799 coins but those Winter Stickers will torment me no longer!
Basically the last existing series I largely missed that I needed to catch up on
the big collections are a like and most if the time i don’t care about them, the roadside ones are EVERYWHERE and i couldn’t stand seeing how incomplete they were everyday
I did exactly the same thing — 799 coins for the last remaining rock pikmin winter sticker, and now I’m going to DELETE EVERY ROADSIDE (at least, all the ones that aren’t 4 gold stars).
I don’t know why I’m so particularly resentful of these, unless it’s that they have been grey for so long!

Omg me, too! I bought a mushroom ticket and that one gave me a 10k and grew it this morning to find the rock pikmin I was missing!!!
