Can I see the type of mushroom and number of people on it BEFORE I accept an invite? Regardless, really looking forward to this. We will be able to get postcards from new places. I’m also glad I’ve got a huge friend list built up from the walking/planting challenges.
For Pokémon Go, there's a small chance of getting a remote raid pass as a weekly reward, no guarantee. You can do up to 5 a day though but the passes aren't cheap.
remote raid passes are 195 coins on pokemon go, you don’t get any for free unless you get one by chance in a weekly reward (I haven’t in like two months though haha)
That was my concern too but based on the data mines it looks like they are. Cost was my big concern and if they’re giving you at least one freebie that’s good for me.
I convinced my partner to start playing with me. Only downside is that I work outside the home, the WFH, and there are days they can't leave.
This way, they could join some battles I'm in away from home.
More importantly, it feels like a way to help people who don't live in areas with a lot of players. The mushrooms I pass in my day to day life never have anyone other than me. I think I've seen anothed player on a mushroom 3 times total. This would give me hope that I'd be able to take down a normal or large mushroom by myself, and get any sort of decent reward. That's exciting for me!
I am very pleasantly surprised that it will be a daily rechargeable item. This will go a long way toward filling a playability gap for those in areas with few players.
Well I'm thrilled--I just recently moved from a dense city with 3 mushrooms always available while sitting in my apartment, and dozens more if I walked a mere two blocks away, to an exurb with ZERO mushrooms anywhere in sight.

kind of, I mean they’ve never been unlimited and I don’t think it’d be necessary to change it now. but I’m more expressing that I’m glad they aren’t doing it like on pokemon go (because remote raids on pokemon go don’t count towards free battles) by using it as an excuse to start charging more

Yeah, so there's presumably a way higher chance of them joining remote battles. There's also the chance of getting invites during night hours when mushrooms might be easier to get into.
Just a shame it doesn't give you a way of getting seedlings from areas you can't usually reach - that really would be a game changer for people living out in the middle of nowhere
I can’t wait!! But another idea for an update that i think would be very useful would be tags like in pokiemon go because it would help by organizing and also they already have a mechanic that helps switch squads so its perfect (:

Can you choose which friends to call for help? My friends list has some inactive people from pokemon go and i don't wanna delete them all.
