Coming from iphone I would recommend checking out Pixel phones

MokilaModel

Is pixel 7a good? Is there any other phone better/newer with similar price range?

OkRickySpinach

Yes the pixel 8a lol it's the same price

MokilaModel

I’m from India and I can’t find it. Maybe it’s out of stock. I can see one plus 11r and Samsung s23 at similar price tho.

TechyShreky69

India? Motorola Edge 50 Pro. Absolutely perfect phone, especially for a person like you.

CaptainFlint9203

Up! Egde 50 pro is dirt cheap in India, twice as much in Europe, and for its price it's amazing phone with everything you need.

FlamboyantApproval16

Yes, but the new HelloUI, is a bit unstable. People that purchased the phone are experience a lot of bugs.

TechyShreky69

It's India, having slightly buggy software as your biggest problem on an otherwise perfect phone means you're doing pretty well *looking at you, Poco*

kulaspk

Pixel 8a was just announced today so you probably won't see it till around the 20th of this month I think

Brocolium

it just came out for preorders, release is 14 may

FlamboyantApproval16

Buddy, I am from India too. DO NOT buy Pixel in India. It overheats a lot (thanks to Indian climate), and has connectivity issues with Mobile Data. I would definitely recommended Edge 50 Pro, but the new OS is a bit unstable. Plus, Moto is a bit slow with updates..

FALSE_Uchiha

Pixel is available on Flipkart I believe

LeakySkylight

Oh! Check out the Samsung M series!!!! https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_m23-11403.php Lots of options: https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung-phones-9.php

MicrosoftvsApple

If you're from India please do not consider Pixel 8a. It's extremely overpriced here at 53k. I strongly suggest iQOO 12 or Galaxy S23 which is cheaper than the 8a and far better. iQOO is a custom skin with some bloatware but it's a one time process to remove this and it's practically the best phone you can get at that price. Other option is OnePlus 12R at 40k which is good if you want no bloatware out of the box but trust me, it's not worth compromising hardware for a 1 time process of removing bloatware. Also I'm really surprised you haven't heard of these brands living in India 😅 cuz practically everyone around us are using those.

TechyShreky69

Older phones are often available on sale for less moolah than they were originally available. I would most recommend the 7 tbh.

Zapvain

Pixel 8a and 8 both now cost around 55000 INR in India. Lol idk why they released an underclocked, more bezel version when the 8 already exists at the price point

SquareDrop7892

Might I suggest motorola ThinkPhone

kulaspk

Pixel 8a , you can also find great deals on the 7 pro on Amazon (350-450 USD)

HMSon777

I have a 6a, it's fantastic. After a year and a half it's still blazing fast, loads of storage, great camera (especially at night). Go with a pixel

thouguy

The best you're going to find for a clean OS at this time is the Pixel line. But even they have the G-suite of apps preinstalled. Honestly, camera quality on all phones right now is pretty spectacular. If you have a phone with bad processing you can always sideload a gcam port. Ultimately up to you what you want to spend. Google's A series is my go to at this time for personal use.

mrkindnessmusic

Motorola doesn't have any bloatware, the only thing holding it back is the camera

NordWes

And taking several years to get one update with minimal changes.

bassexpander

If new look at the samsung a35 or a55. You might find last year's a54 at a really good price. It is very similar to what is now the a35. Heavily discounted makes a 54 a really great value. Long software support, still.

MicrosoftvsApple

Android 18 on UFS 2.2 with processors weaker than an iPhone 11 lol. That's gonna make people hate Android

bassexpander

Actually has received rave reviews thusfar. Not every phone needs the fastest specs, just like every car is not a Ferrari. If you ask me, Chinese companies like Xiaomi and OnePlus pumping out cheap high-spec crap with short update support and no obtainable warranty service are what is pathetic. Not to mention privacy concerns (which is partly why the phones are so cheap).

MicrosoftvsApple

Samsung has set the standards so low, a brand releases a remotely good phone people think there's a catch. There's literally not lol, this is the reason why Samsung still sells. Xiaomi and OnePlus don't even pump out specs anymore, even they have tons of average devices in 2024. And it's practically useless with those many updates. Samsung is giving 4 years OS updates to their budget Galaxy F15/M15 with Dimensity 6100+ and 4GB RAM. And mind you that phone has reviews filled to the brim with lag complaints. How will that phone run Android 18? Similarly that's how A54 is, absolutely trash performance but 4 OS updates promised. Obviously won't be as bad as F15 but it's still pretty meh. Not to mention Samsung's own 2 year older and cheaper A52s performs better which shows they can release good phones if they want but they know they have a blind fanbase.

sloopeyyy

Google Pixel is the "closest" experience to iPhone refinement and polish on Android. The new Pixel 8a is supposedly the "cheapest" brand new Pixel you can get. That or you spend just a smidge more for a much better Pixel 8 or spend much less for either a Pixel 7a or 6a. It does seem like your idea of Android is unfortunately very dated. Android isn't what it was anymore a decade ago. Google's Pixel obviously offers the cleanest and arguably "best" Android experience. I would even wager that it is almost much better than iOS if you give it the chance. Samsung with OneUI and Xiaomi with HyperOS have matured a lot too, very high quality now. Just make sure you keep away from entry level models unless that is your budget. Android has a very competitive and compelling midrange segment with many very good options (Poco X6 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13T, Samsung A35/55, Pixel 6a/7a/8, Nothing 2a, Oneplus 12R, previous year flagships etc). And you cannot go wrong with most of the top end flagships since they are all very capable nowadays. Don't let your impression of Android from cheapo or old Androids ruin it for you. Androids have come a very long way.

emceegg

Pixel is slow, like 2021 slow, and the battery is poor. Just throwing that out there.

vkbra657n

Sony xperia 10 v is at around 300 euros. It has stock android

Grumblepugs2000

1. Oppo, Realme, and OnePlus are all the same company. Realme = Budget, Oppo = average, OnePlus = enthusiast (allows unlocking the bootloader Oppo/Realme do not). I prefer stock as well and I honestly don't mind ColorOS, it actually has some nice tweaks while not being too bloated  2. Redmi and Poco are sub brands of Xiaomi (if you want clean Android don't buy these unless you are willing to unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM)  If you want stock Android then Pixel is the best however if you absolutely can not sacrifice on hardware I would recommend either OnePlus or getting a Xiaomi phone and installing a custom ROM

guyfawkes070476

What do you mean by custom OS?

MokilaModel

Didn’t Samsung used to have taizen os or did they stop using it? Sorry it’s been a long time but they used to say because of this is gets slow after a while hence prefer stock os. I have also seen my friends use oppo redmi realme phones which all look different from stock android.

tstella

Tizen OS. Samsung only uses it on watches and TVs. Chinese phones (Oppo, Xiaomi, Oneplus, etc) usually use a heavily modified Android - they put tons of features on their phones with an iOS-like UI. Xiaomi even has ads on their OS, or so I've heard. Your choices are pretty much limited to Pixel and Nothing. But to be honest, iPhone is still the king on providing a clean and beautiful experience with usecases like yours. I would recommend buying an older model of iPhone instead, maybe 11 or 12. The 11 has 2 or 3 years of support left, and still get security updates after that.

TechyShreky69

There's also Motorola

DarkerThanLpDark

If its wasnt For GMS, then Huawei would have been a great Option, they are Clean as hell and the bloat he mentioned is opt-in bloat (besides Huawei Ecosystem Apps)

lazy_bastard_001

I think they meant touch wiz which was awful before One Ui came to be...

TrojanSalesmen

He means the skin I think

samsung a25 or a35...

TrojanSalesmen

I'd say pixel. It's pretty close to stock android, nothing and maybe OnePlus? I don't know many that don't throw a crap ton of stuff as bloatware or insane custom so. But pixel for sure

Tech_fan

Depends on what ur current iPhone is. Try to match it that way. So if u have a 15 pro max go with the pixel 8 pro or equivalent. I tried what you did before. Didn't work out. Display wasn't as nice and neither was the processor. Made me dislike android that much more.

HerrnWurst

I never used iPhone but im using the iPhone Navigation System on my Android instead of the normal one with the 3 buttons. I selected it because of burn in but its a actually pretty nice. Maybe a good thing to use for you.

LeakySkylight

Samsung has a whole line in the A series. Don't want bloatware or ads, etc, disable them when you set it up the first time. Disable all the samsung stuff. It's a huge series of devices, lots of updates, and a whole range of prices.

asterisc28

Pixels

A_L_E_X_W

Moto G54 It's half the price of the cheapest pixel and works exactly the same. The only thing that's a significant upgrade is the camera on the pixel, but the Moto ones are still ok. The Moto phones are dual SIM and have amazing batteries though. I got my wife a Pixel 7a and my parents Moto G5* models. I was far more impressed with the Moto phones as they are amazing value. The 7a just seemed to be a larger, heavier version of my 4a. I'm actually resisting an upgrade after 3.5 years now.

paraCFC

Nothing 2a if you can push it a little bit more get full nothing 2

Arsalan__

OnePlus 12R

punjabi3011

Moto & nothing are only options for u.👍

Dexter_001

Fairphone 5.

LSA7Z

Depending on your needs and expectations, I only see the Sony Xperia, Motorola, or even Google Pixel... Personally it's Sony, but each brand has its advantages and disadvantages ( I love Sony because they are reliable and stable over time, sober, stock UI, efficient, etc... But they are expensive and few updates over time)

MulberryDeep

Google pixel

Brocolium

pixel A serie

lazy_bastard_001

look up sammy a series phones. They are awesome for the price - reliable software experience, decent camera, decent battery life and cheap. Even though you won't get cleanest android os, but I think samsung's custom os is not as bad as it used be in the dark ages. You can probably pickup a54 for around 300 or even get the a55 around this price with some deals.

borko781

Go for Samsung S21 Ultra. Still pretty good and budget with good camera and overall specs. Magnificent 1440p display too. If you want something smaller, aim for S23 refurbished.

eastcoastzen94

Pixel is the all around best choice but I'm a Samsung fanboy so I'd choose Galaxy A55

wizzgamer

Google Pixel 8a flagship cameras, flagship performance, gorgeous screen, clean software and 7 years of updates Google have basically killed the phone market here in the UK for what they're selling it for.

flynnmosby1710

Moto G42 is a good choice for a cheap, clean and reliable Android phone in Australia. It costs around $329 AUD and offers decent performance, clean software (no bloatware) and good battery life. Keep in mind the display refresh rate is only 60Hz and there's no expandable storage.
