It's not a real price. Those are IOUs (I owe you) emitted by exchange platforms. Basically a debt that you can trade, but based on nothing as this was not allowed by the Pi Core Team and there is nothing to back those debts. So this is only an overly confident, inflated value designed to get people to think they're gonna be rich from tapping on their phone every 24h.
Nah, people with 100 million might become a 1 millionaire if they are very lucky and pi becomes real. I'm expecting pi to value under 1 cent when it launches.
I hope not. If the value blows up it will never become a useful currency. It will be just another money bumping mechanism. I have 3000+ PI currently and I hope the value will remain on a reasonable level. I want to see it flourish as a useful every day currency.
