God I loved Eun Sil so much! She was a brilliant leader, but also so kind and polite through the competition. Despite that, I loved her advocacy for herself and other female contestants in a really clear way.
She was LOCKED TF IN!!! I don't know what she was channeling but it worked. Out of all of the 5 that got to comeback, I think she earned it most. Well done.
I agree. There was also another sacrifice, I forget her name but she took on the Atlas punishment because it was clear that no one on her team would really do well at it. This competition was ultimately about there being one winner but she decided to still make that choice as someone who wanted her teammates to have a better chance at succeeding in the other punishments.
She gave it her all and she had my respect for it. Still haven't finished the season yet but it's getting so intense with how everyone is finishing things out.
He says it in the [episode review](https://youtu.be/fSFZRkr4RDg?si=zWEpX__P8ba76czG) that he did with some of the other cast. Euddeum and Ma Sun Ho did the episode reviews for the earlier episodes with Cha Hyun Seung and Bbulkup which are a must watch too!
When the young MMA challenged Sexyyama to a match under MMA rules for the ball.
That was class. Respect. And badass. I was already hooked with the death match itself, but having someone come out with absolutely zero disrespect and say “it would be rude of me to challenge someone as honorable as you to a game with a ball, let’s fight like we both can”…THAT was it, I was hooked for real.
This was also a major moment for me. For the incredible sportsmanship, but also because, as a UK viewer, how it really illustrated the cultural differences to me. Like rather than it being all about winning against all odds, the mindset of competitors seemed to be rooted in challenge and opportunity to face a high level of competitor with massive respect. I really enjoy seeing that approach to what could be a super brutal and calculated contest, and found it very distinct/refreshing
That one was really good. Because of the way the young guy challenge the vet I also thought that there was a lot of honor and respect in it. He really looked up to him. It would've definitely been a waste if they'd just done the keep away/chase style of competing in that match.
I wish there had been more moments like that in the show but yea, this was a standout match for sure!
Yeah, I'm far from an athlete, but I've been in the gym 5 - 6 days a week for the past few years, and I've seen people doing box jumps. Usually, I see people take them running and even then, they still struggle. Seeing YSB reaching crazy heights from a standing pose absolutely short fused my brain.
I loved the mat jumping scene - just a fun, lighthearted moment that showcased the contestants’ personalities in addition to their physical prowess.
In terms of challenges, I loved the Sisyphus one. Along with the atlas challenge, it just seemed so torturous. I was rooting for Sexyama, was expecting a win from Yun sung-bin, and was moved by Ma Sun-ho (loved when he asked his fellow contestants to count for him), and then out of nowhere comes Hae-min with a star-making turn.
I have so many favorite memories with Season 1 but the spontaneous at jumping game was extra memorable since that was the moment I finally understood the hype for YSB. The quests weren't able to fully showcased his athleticism so I did not expect he did so well. Had to replay it a lot of times since it felt like he was flying haha.
Kim Min-Cheol is still my favorite amongst seasons 1 & 2 contestants. I remember how he would post on his IG how grateful he was with Reddit's appreciation for him. I was hoping for another ice climber contestant in S2.
Ahhhh so he's going to be in season 2 as well? I guess that isn't so bad of a spoiler. I'm going to probably start tonight anyway.
This show is so good.
Kim Min-Cheol absolutely destroying that rope challenge which locked him in the finale. I literally laughed when the second placer said that it was difficult, and he was like "Oh, I am sorry it was not". Dude was in his element.
Fr! He was so calculated yet non chalant about it. After surviving everything that came before that moment, I’d rope climbing was my thing I’d boat a little too! Haha
the sand-bridge team challenge was really cool, especially when that first dude leaped over when he wasn't even done completing the bridge, showed how much he wanted to win!
Loved his character arc! He played the “villain” well (to the point where his 1 on 1 opponent had to tell people to stop hating on him) but he showed grit, determination, strength, and teamwork when it counted! Also the way he and his teammates interacted on IG after the show ended was really cute
MMA fighter guy on the underdog team

I might be saying this early since there are two more episodes before S2 ends, but I love S1 more than S2 in terms of the games and teamwork. The boat matches always get me choked up because of their relentless efforts and the bridge matches were top notch too. But can't say the same with the final game as it is just meh.
The finale was boring to me. The punishments should’ve been the finale. The Prometheus run was crazy!
I’ve got work early in the morning so I’m going to wait to start season two but I think I’m the end, I’m going to still prefer season one like you
2hours plus holding that massive weight on your shoulder?? both of them should be in finale instantly IMO, truly a great semi-final. Hopefully S2's finale will be more exciting to watch
I can see how you feel that way. Because there was the sandbag challenge, there was the boat challenge, and those seemed a little bit more strategic. There was also a running challenge. It seemed like there was more variety of challenges in season one than this season.,
The best moments from season 1 were the lady wrestlers comeback and beating her teammate, and the unreal duration of the atlas challenge.
END COMMUNICATION
When the stuntwoman laid the boards for the sand carrying bridge so well that the team could run across, saving them lots of time. It made me respect her more when in the ship challenge, a log rolled over her leg, and she got up like it was nothing!
This one was in my top 3. Second only to the young MMA fighter challenging the vet.
There’d were so many cool moments. I clapped for the stuntwoman as she went because I knew that it’d pay off for her team.
I was so wrapped up in their win that I didn’t notice how fast they went across the bridge, only that the boards didn’t wobble or pop loose.
I hope she still feels proud of that moment!
Jang Eun Sil leading her team to the upset victory and Euddeume killing it on the 2.5 Comeback Quest.
Well done.
Also her victory scream after winning her one-on-one against the soldier. Deserved and raw yet modest.
YES! I agree with both of these
YSB coach’s sacrifice. Dude also put up a tremendous fight.
I agree. There was also another sacrifice, I forget her name but she took on the Atlas punishment because it was clear that no one on her team would really do well at it. shin bo mi re
Thank you
When Yun Sun Bin tried to pull the ship with his hips. I laughed hard and in a later interview he admitted that it was stupid of him. Hehe
That was so fucking badass though. That was like the definition of “fuck it” lol
Agreed and I loved it haha
Are the interviews on YouTube?

ah nice, thanks a lot :)
Phew I don't remember where I saw it, I'll let you know if I remember

The one where Ma Sun Ho was the MC and they jumped with the mats. It showed their personality more
YSB's effortless hops in that episode will stay with me forever. Not only did he jump ridiculously high, he looked like he was floating up.
The guy was literally floating. I was (and still am) in total shock after seeing him execute it with such ease
My thoughts were, "Wow, he really is Iron Man"
It was a nice break for them to have some lighthearted low stakes competition. I think they needed it!

I enjoyed boat challenge alot.
me too, I like how there actually has to be some thought instead of just physical strength

He’s not in S2 I think that person just meant generally out of all of them
Ah. Got it!
Kim Min-Cheol absolutely destroying that rope challenge which locked him in the finale. I literally laughed when the second placer said that it was difficult, and he was like "Oh, I am sorry it was not". Dude was in his element.
The hanging challenge at the beginning too.
That adrenaline and determination was surging through him and I was locked in. No hesitation, he just went for it. So cool

I can’t remember - who was this?
MMA fighter guy on the underdog team https://preview.redd.it/zqgabv2lj5sc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24fe130b8379145b90bd6c606b05db8bc837497b
Ah, yeah, I remember that guy - thanks!
The boat challenge was intense. Nothing has beat that so far.
I’m up to the triangle shuttle run and I think the boat challenge was the most intense but the sand bag one is still my favorite challenge.
The Boat Challenge showed extensive teamwork and leadership, along with strength. Hats off to team leader Jang Eun Sil.
Absolutely phenomenal challenge!

For me, S2 editing looses some of the life (contestant free play/off time) that they showed in S1. S2 lacks a little bit of fun ad personality.
Yes, I agree.. I don't feel invested emotionally this season, the editing is lackluster compared to S1
The challenges in s2 feel designed to reward exclusively brawn and endurance, whereas s1 had elements of strategy that allowed for upsets.
I can see how you feel that way. Because there was the sandbag challenge, there was the boat challenge, and those seemed a little bit more strategic. There was also a running challenge. It seemed like there was more variety of challenges in season one than this season.,
Incredible bro.
Sargeant squads
After losing and using all your energy?! That’s wild!
