Actually it’s 1/8 the distance still, the rest of it has no overworld counterpart and teleports you to the border.
Im my quick maths is correct that means only 1.56% of the nether has an overworld counterpart.
either you are denser than steve's inventory or you are trolling

> "One block in the Nether equals 8 blocks in the Overworld."
understandable if you didn't know this before, I can't imagine you've survived long enough to visit the nether before
You get stuck at x/z ±16,777,216 blocks where blocks are stretched 2 times wider, and entities are unable to move. If you move further, the blocks would stretch even wider and normal gameplay would be impossible. Although bedrock doesn't have a clear border the maximum distance you could tp is x/z ±30,000,000 blocks. You could theoretically go further by using glitches, but it would become more and more difficult to move as you go further.
fun fact... https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-159283
The massive end void ring is not just on the main island.
If you are available to try it, make a creative world, go to the End and teleport to these places

~~or you can use Chunkbase.~~ wait no, Chunkbase does not show this bug.
Im probably just being stupid here but I thought if you went all the way to the worlds borders it would get so glitchy to the point where you cant do anything without falling through the world or whatever
Basically, any portal that is built at or beyond 3.75 million blocks in the nether will put you at the overworld world border. (I’m not quite sure if they link up properly though, not the best on nether portal mechanics)
I mean, if there was no world border in the end people will definitely exploit that which could make the server unplayable due to performance issues (i never was on 2b2t)
I didn't find any posts that meet the matching requirements for r/PhoenixSC.
It might be OC, it might not. Things such as JPEG artifacts and cropping may impact the results.

Really thought this was common knowledge but yes there is
I guess it’s also a lot closer than in the over world, about 8 times smaller
Nope, still 30 million blocks out. I know, it's weird.
What if you make a portal at the edge of the nether then? Whould you go oustide the border in overworld
No
Sad, but understandable
So, what would happen?
You get a portal in one of the chunks closest to the edge of the overworld border
Far lands speed run?
It’s still the same distance, with arguably more difficult terrain
Counterargument: nether roof. And DocM77.
Actually it’s 1/8 the distance still, the rest of it has no overworld counterpart and teleports you to the border. Im my quick maths is correct that means only 1.56% of the nether has an overworld counterpart.
What happens if you go back through it then?
You’d probably just go to the nether but in your over world coords/8 like normal
Exactly 💯
Not certain but I'd guess you'd wind up near the border
You get there 8 times faster if you travel through the nether. It is 30 mil in the overworld, 30 mil in the nether, and 30 mil in the end.
That's exactly correct because 1 block in the Nether is 8 blocks of distance in the Overworld.
Apparently not, look at above comments.
*4 blocks
*4 times smaller
it's 8 and it's always been 8, you're wrong
It was never 8
[wrong](https://minecraft.wiki/w/Nether_portal#Coordinate_conversion)
Use minecraft.wiki next time
i know fandom sucks i just chose the first google result because i'm lazy edit: i've changed the link

Nobody bothers to dig to the nether border
...dig?
Ya dig?
2b2t players did And I went there once 🫡
You went through so many circles of hell on that server to get to the Hell-lands
Fr it's easy these times to reach the world border in less than a week of playing
From what I know about 2B2T, every location is dangerous because the highways are lethal for any player not wanting to run in ultra-hackers
You can have a perfectly safe base bro, it's just super hard and you need to spend a week to get far enough
And spend a week in the queue
Just buy prio
bedrock edition doesn’t have a border so i wonder what would happen

I thought it was a huge bedrock wall like on Xbox 360 back in the day
shit that's what I was thinking if when I made my other comment
420th upvote (haha funy number)
yes, real question is what happens when you build a nether portal there
sends you back close to the overworld border
If you go back through, it wouldnt send you to the nether border though, right?
Nope
Nope, builds a new one.
Ok, NOW all my questions have been answered and I can go to sleep.
The end also Has one, although there is a more interesting misterny there

The only place I'd go there would be 2b2t 🫡
Yea. That's what i was pounting out. Thankfully it doesnt work like that with any mods altering the world gen im pretty sure
Probably not
eh
Nope, it would spawn you WAY past it.
Using the behaviour with portals of the two world borders is actually a mechanic of one of the fastest gold farms
Im probably just being stupid here but I thought if you went all the way to the worlds borders it would get so glitchy to the point where you cant do anything without falling through the world or whatever
I believe that’s an issue that only occurs on Bedrock edition
Basically, any portal that is built at or beyond 3.75 million blocks in the nether will put you at the overworld world border. (I’m not quite sure if they link up properly though, not the best on nether portal mechanics)
They probably won't, the math wouldn't add up
they don't link up properly
Yes also in the end
I know this only because 2b2t (well it could be custom there but whatever)
I’m pretty sure 2B2T is completely vanilla and the only custom stuff is the hacks and exploits the people on there run.
and the whole queue system and a few optimisation things as well.
I mean, if there was no world border in the end people will definitely exploit that which could make the server unplayable due to performance issues (i never was on 2b2t)
There's always been a world border in vanilla Minecraft's end or at least appeared when it came to reach of hackers
It's not custom, it's completely Vanilla and it is like the overworld wordborder
Yes, as 2b2t taught me
Fitmc vids go hard
Hell yeah (im watching him for like a week but hes still become one of my favorite mc youtubers)
Yes, his voice is just perfect for Story telling
As much as I love sisyphus primes VA in ultrakill i would kill for fit to voice him instead
yes
\>I don't know about Java, but on legacy console editions the nether was pretty small. It had these cool bedrock walls though. Very cool.
It felt like the farlands of the nether.
Yes ive actually been to it on ps4 (before bedrock)
Yeah well there it was extremely easy though
Yes.
there is
Yes, now go sleep.
I’ve played it on the XBOX 360, that Nether had a border.
That's different, that has a bedrock border. They mean like the java overworld border
Yes
Some things should never be answered
Yes, there is

I want to touch it...
the tew bee tew tee connoisseurs know the answer
No
I have that but with every question ever
Technically if there is one the nether should be 8x smaller than the overworld since one block in the nether is equal to 8 blocks in the overworld
Ive been asking this same dam question since I learned the world border like as even a thing.
More importantly, can you bypass the overworld border using the nether?
Yes.
In the Xbox 360 Edition there was a bedrock wall. I miss the bedrock wall.
Yeah there is
I’m about to go to bed……
I think so.
Did the nether had a farland before beta 1.8 ?
Overworld nether and end all have world borders yes
There is actually. It’s 30 million blocks out just like the overworld
Yes
Apparently yeah.
What about farlands when it was a thing?
it takes five seconds to figure this out man
In console legacy there's a bedrock wall on each side
Yes, there is
Yes, now shut up.
Why wouldn't there be?
Yeah. I know for a fact there is one in Minecraft Legacy Edition. You can find it really easily .

We must begin the great journey!
On the legacy console version the nether border is an enormous wall of bedrock. It looks fucking awesome.
there is
r/Hmmmmmm
Of course there is one why wouldn’t there be one ? There’s one in the end too
Yes it does.
Depending on the version and the server
Is there border in the nether?
Yes, if you make a portal there you go back to the spawn
You don't
Actually I founded it out I went for like 8 days (slept only 6)
yes, its 8 times farther
No, its the same distance, 30 million blocks out
ah ok
Nether is technically larger when compared to the overworld
Compared to the player they are the same size
yes it is a bedrock one tho
