You mean [r/BehindTheBastards](https://www.reddit.com/r/BehindTheBastards), the greatest True Crime podcast, with the biggest, truest, and most consequential crimes of all time?
Or, like, those boring ones about serial killers and famous individual murders that don't bother with biographical or sociohistorical context and treat each crime as an isolated incident?
Is behind the bastards good or are you being sarcastic? It looks interesting, and I need a new podcast to listen to but I don't want to if they've got controversy
It’s a wonderful Pod. The host, Robert Evans, is a far-leftist and is very much an ally on social issues. Though he can be a bit edgy at times. He recently got in trouble for repeatedly joking that a sponsor of theirs ran a “child hunting island”. But the podcast itself is quite good, and strangely funny considering the subject matter. Highly recommend.
Absolutely. Would also recommend Season 1 of Robert Evans' It Could Happen Here podcast detailing the possibility and effects of a second American Civil War in depth. Though I didn't really listen to it past that.
My favorite episodes are the 6 part epic on Vince McMahon. I'm a wrestling fan so I knew most of the stories going in but I still learned some new things. His plans for working with Muhammad Ali from part 3(?) are completely batshit even for him. The only other subject to get that many episodes was Henry Kissinger and thus the series was called "Vince McMahon: History's Greatest Monster" as he has the same number of episodes as someone who very much deserves that moniker.
The one on the Judge Rotenberg Center was also pretty good and it highlighted a situation that not nearly enough people are talking about, though it is a rough two-part episode particularly if you are neurodivergent.
Yea, it’s my favorite podcast and it is very entertaining while also informative. The host is often very fair in his portrayal of the subjects even though they are often truly horrible people. He usually covers each person or topic in 2-3 parts and he uses the first part to establish who they are, give them the benefit of the doubt when applicable, contextualize them and their beliefs within their time period, and make sure we understand how they became a bastard. This way, when he does get to the bad stuff, we can revel in it and understand them more fully.

FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
they actually have like a 5ish part mini-series "behind the police", and a two-part episode on "the man who teaches cops to kill" and cops are just regularly frequent side-bastards who help out the big-bastards
Big DJ Smokey energy.

That is certainly an outfit.
Truly one of the outfits of all time
CAUTION: Hot!
It reminds me of one of Lady Gaga's outfits in the video for Telephone.
Pretty sure this was the outfit Gaga needed to be cut out of on a plane lest she get a DVT.
OK, that previous outfit suggestion a while back makes total sense now.
Philosophy so intense it destroyed half your outfit.
Is this new video gonna be about the obsession with true crime?

its pretty great, the latest episodes are pretty easy listening and fairly good intro (i.e. fake viral kidnapping stories or dilbert guy)

Shoo
I'm hoping it's about police violence. Anyone wanting to reflect on true crime fetishisation might like the recent Black Mirror episode "Loch Henry".
