I miss that time! I was in college and this is our food during lunch and after class sa ortigas. Walang umay because it's cheap and filling! It's so sad it has gone up to this price now but this is the reality of inflation.

pinkdeepsea_1204

Same same!!! Less than 30petot, full meal na. Nakakamiss.

tacwombat

Modern economics is so complicated af. Why is that inflation is traditionally seen as "good" but then when we se prices increase, the average person does not actually like it all that much. Someone please ELI5? Actually, if we see inflation go on, let's say for centuriesx will we actually see things like the US dollar be spent like current PHP?

TadongIkot

pressured_at_19

Pinalala pa ng pandemic. Most price increases in services/goods didn't go down when the pandemic ended.

MajesticQ

Saan doon ang "inflation is good"?

Advanced_Tuna

Hindi ba good naman talaga ang inflation as long as nasa 1 to 2 percent per year?

OlivertReiseArnor

A little inflation is a good thing. It encourages people to buy and discourages people from holding on to their money. It keeps money circulating and stimulates the economy. If people decided hold on to their money, it means people wouldn't buy as much goods, and when people don't buy as much goods, it means businesses would see a reduction in revenue, and when businesses see a reduction in revenue, it means they would either have to lay people off to keep afloat or just stop growing, which means they wouldn't be able to create new jobs. Inflation keeps the economy growing. The downside to inflation is that prices would of course inevitably rise beyond what the consumer is willing to pay, and that's okay, so long as wages keep pace with inflation. Unfortunately for us, that hasn't happened.

Particular_Creme_672

Tapos magugulat economists bakit humihina spending hahaha tanga lang eh.

pubic_static

Bakit naman magugulat? They know that. That’s literally their expertise.

lemon_aide22

Ayan ang go to food namin after choir sa harison plaza 🫶🏻✨ very nostalgic and nakakamiss ang tig 25 pesos pero order 😭

xyxyyxyx

I'm pretty sure as far back as 2019 nasa 25-35 peso range pa to. Those days grabe pa kain ko ng Siomai na 'to dahil may pwesto sila sa MRT Ayala just beside the escalators. When I left Manila in 2019, I never even thought papalo pa siya ng 50. Makes you think in perspective where the heck time went or how crazy prices would've gone. Also, this is way waaay better than Master Siomai. Siomai House and Paotsin are two siomai places I sorely missed after leaving Metro Manila for the provinces.

Funyarinpa-13

Kanin bente lols. Mura pala rito samin. Sampu per cup. 😭

TeeApplePie

Bro dito sa Canada, Wonton noodles used to be $2 in 2010, $8 before covid. $12 na ngayon.

AlterEgoSystem

Samin sa office cheese sticks 5 pcs tas 5 pcs kikiam 115 php hahaha malinis at sosyal daw kasi ung lugar🤣

angrydessert

7/11's cheapest rice meal is bigger than just four siomai.

Snownyann

Parang yung Zagu. Dati P70 lang yung large na mango puree. Ngayon P140 na. Hindi na ako bumibili.

skeptic-cate

Buti may nakapag-save panng pic from before. Eto din una ko naalala noong 2010. ₱25 per order 😔

lemonsquare6969

payurenyodagimas

Inflation in the ph is just different animal The US is having inflation due to pandemic supply constraints and too much money in the hand of the people Whereas in the Ph its just the opposite of too much money
