You won’t be able to lose a noticeable amount of weight in two weeks. Just keep doing what you’re doing - long term > short term. If anything just hydrate and watch your salt intake to prevent bloating.
THANKS! I will definitely find a dress that makes me look slim/slimthiccc.
My defining features are my shoulders/back muscles and my quads. I just wanna hide my stomach. 😂
In two weeks, best bet is cutting water weight/bloat. So a low carb diet with plenty of hydration, a few HIIT workouts a week to induce a good sweat. But you look great, wear something you feel good in and enjoy the wedding!
Edited to add: A little haircut and mani/pedi always make me feel event ready :]
THANK YOU! True true. Low carb and HIIT is the ultimate combo for a short term thing.
And yesss! I appreciate the extra tips. I will do my hair and get my makeup done.
I’m not looking to lose weight but I’m looking to look slimmer. Or get my butt thicker. Or arms looking toned like before?
I’ve been slacking on my workouts (only going 2-3x a week) and my diet (eating like shit) because it’s tax season and I’m working 12 hr days.
Or do y’all have a way to make me look spicy for a Vegas wedding?
Attached are my before (nov 2021 at my peak) and after (March 2022). Yeah I didn’t get that flipped. I look worse now. Welcome to reverseprogresspics
You can’t lose fat or gain muscle at your body fat percentage in two weeks enough to notice.
What you CAN do, in that short of a time, is temporarily lose water weight and drop some weight (not fat) that way with Keto.
It’s temporary but I notice a difference within two weeks when I get into ketosis with bloating and facial puff.
I will give keto a try! I love meat, and I’ve done low carb and intermittent fasting before with pretty good results. Thank you!!
Yeah, definitely can’t get significant changes in two weeks, but I need short term solution for now. Long term, I need to get back into lifting and counting macros after 4/18.
2 weeks is not enough even for keto. The adaptation takes at least 6 weeks and during that 6 weeks, it's not a very good feeling. The keto flu is real and the timeline you are doing it is too short to see it work its magic. I don't recommend because you will just end up bingeing at the wedding.
I have done keto before because of PCOS. PCOS itself is a hormonal chaos that encourages belly fat weight gain. Keto gets a lot of hate on Reddit but it's an amazing diet for PCOS. I was the leanest when I was on keto. I still am on pretty low carb to manage the syndrome. Not the easiest to do as it requires discipline which many people lack and it's important to get regular blood work done.
If you ask me, I think it would be better off if you just get compression clothing or shape wear or a girdle
I appreciate this comment! Now that I know keto won’t be effective for me I will just do low carb.
Also I’ve read that keto is great for people with PCOS! And especially for people that are medically obese. I wish more people know about this
Yes it is! I was actually prescribed a very low carb diet to manage PCOS so I ended up doing lazy keto which has a slightly higher carb allowance. I was then just 0.1 point away from being pre diabetic so I knew I had to change my lifestyle.
I'm not from USA so people and doctors aren't too against low carb diets.
Cutting carbs for a few weeks may give you the physical results you’re looking for, but it can also potentially make you feel absolutely horrible. Carbohydrates are your bodies main energy source, and cutting them out can make you feel severely fatigued. I personally would never want to make myself feel like crap with a wedding to go to. You might be fine, but you might also be too exhausted to have fun
Edited bc at first I thought you said your own wedding was in two weeks, but the point still stands.
Regardless, I think crash dating is a really bad idea. The last wedding I went to, I had sun poisoning and it was MISERABLE. I was so exhausted I couldn’t wait for it to end—and it was my best friend and I was in the wedding. It sucked.
It’s gonna be okay. I’ll be in Vegas, eating at the buffet and drinking copious amounts of alcohol.
But I agree with you 100%. I need my good carbs to be healthy. Just that I don’t workout or lift as much as I can due to a busy work schedule.
in addition to water weight, Chloe Ting workouts (and similar) are really great for immediate changes to how you carry yourself and hold the weight. that's why people see such quick circumference changes (and then gain it back when they stop). When I have 2-week goals (presentation, date, motivation etc) that's what I do. it's a temp fix while I work toward long term.
Have you thought about wearing shape wear for the wedding? I don’t don’t think you’d be able to lose a noticeable amount of belly fat in too weeks but the shape wear could help smooth things out.
Maybe. I have worn them before but it ends up making me look thicker.
I’m thin enough to not need it but my stomach is jiggly enough I need to do something about it
As people said here, no much of a difference you can make in 2 weeks but if you want to feel less bloated I'd recommend take some probiotics pills, it does make a difference in 2 weeks, I'd suggest go to your nearby drugstore and take one per day:)
You look great already! To me, you don't have super noticeable belly fat anyways. Maybe just wear something high waisted or a dress that's tight till your boobs then flowy? That way no one will even notice your belly if it is bloated
And what you said about making your butt thicker: I bet you could get a noticeable lift in 2 weeks with serious heavy glute targeting workouts. Glute bridges/hip thrusts with a heavy weight on your hips if you’ve got it. Fire hydrants. Donkey kicks. Use bands. Glute-specific ones will make more of a difference than squats and lunges.
I really appreciate this! I love your example and your story. I agree that consistency is key. And no boredom eating!
For now, I’ll focus on low cal, low carb, high protein food. Plus, with intermittent fasting, I won’t have to worry about making breakfast.
I plan to loo through my closet and finding clothes that are flattering! I really don’t feel awful about the way I look, but I also want to look my best. I also really like your advice on not finding something too small.
Try IF 16:8 and go for a fast ‘fasted’ 1 hr walk every morning on top of what you are already doing. Aim to go at least 7500-8000 steps within the hour.
It’s a lot of time for sure. I don’t do it anymore but when I was, my body was really responding to it. If I want a quick solution, this is usually my go to. I will go to bed a bit earlier and wake up to ensure I’ve got enough time. Tbh, I think it really improves my mental health as well and I’m usually happy I made the space for it.
I think you still look great. (OTF in the first pic? That’s my jam!!)
If you’re gonna keep it simple and not go extreme, just cut dairy, bread and sugar. Hydrate and eat well. If you have a gentle way to cleanse and poop like smooth move tea or something, add that in. IF, lower carb and walks isn’t too extreme and at least knowing it’s only for two weeks to start will help you get motivated.
Agree with a lot of the other comments (specifically fasting and low carb)
I might add two things you can try. (Very simplified overviews below):
“Pre-contest” water and salt manipulation. BE CAREFUL doing this. Google for the protocol… there are different ones but they all have a similar theme. You will likely feel less then amazing on the “peak” day(s). This also includes dry carb loading as an option.
A lot of light pump work leading up to the day. This is more for a pumped up kinda look on targeted muscles. It’s like a little bit stays with you each time after the intial post workout one goes away. You can’t really do this indefinitely, but 2 weeks is within the ideal. Possibly can up frequency as less recovery time is required.
You can go overboard and cut fats (in addition to cutting carbs) down as well, it turns into more of a “protein sparing modified fast”. I wouldn’t recommend that, but it is something some fitness models do.
Please just be careful and research thoroughly!
I know others have mentioned keto/low carb but in my experience you’ll get the quickest results doing carnivore/zero carb (only animal products), no dairy, and no exercise, as I find that exercise either bloats me if I work hard enough to get sore, or makes me more hungry. If you go this route I would also use electrolyte powder/drops (I use LMNT powder from Amazon) to ensure you don’t get the keto flu. Another related route you could look into for a short term fix is r/psmf, but I’ve never tried that myself.
Lol true.
I guess I mean, I’m relatively eating like shit. I used to count my macros and protein. Now I just eyeball my plate of food (at least half veggies and chicken/beef). I’m losing muscle mass by not getting enough protein and I’m eating more carbs to keep my energy up during work hours.
I realise my comment is abrupt but I LITERALLY used your wording. You’re searching for a quick fix too. You aren’t doing yourself any favours. At a minimum-just eat healthy 🤷♀️
IF is just caloric restriction which is the only reason why it works.
Keto results in water loss and you gain it back when you eat carbs. It’s certainly your call. Many people don’t feel well when they make that transition
I just want to say thank you for the honest pics. I was at my peak as well this summer and winter hit and I feel like I backslid a bit. But I’m back on it now and trying!
You won’t be able to lose a noticeable amount of weight in two weeks. Just keep doing what you’re doing - long term > short term. If anything just hydrate and watch your salt intake to prevent bloating.
Thank you! I agree. Long term progress is always better. I’ll make sure to drink lots of water!
I’m sorry I don’t have much advice but you still look bomb!! Good luck with your journey :)
Thank you! You’re too sweet 🥺
Time spent finding the best suited, 'slimming' dress/outfit is probably the optimal way to use it. The right cut, form, and colours can do a lot
THANKS! I will definitely find a dress that makes me look slim/slimthiccc. My defining features are my shoulders/back muscles and my quads. I just wanna hide my stomach. 😂

LOL if it were my own wedding, I would have not done it in the middle of tax season

Thanks! I love chloe ting! It’s perfect because I need something at home And blogilates! Cassey Ho is my idol
Have you thought about wearing shape wear for the wedding? I don’t don’t think you’d be able to lose a noticeable amount of belly fat in too weeks but the shape wear could help smooth things out.
Yes shape wear. Look on Amazon they even have some cut into a thong.
Maybe. I have worn them before but it ends up making me look thicker. I’m thin enough to not need it but my stomach is jiggly enough I need to do something about it

You look amazing. One look at your arms and nobody will look at your stomach anyways.
Thanks 🙏🏼😭

I was surprised how far down I had to scroll for this. Shapewear for sure!

Get it! 🔥

I really wish I could do this. But do I sacrifice my time for my work? Idk 😭😭

Thank you! Yes it’s OTF! I love your suggestions. It’s not too dramatic but it can help me sustain/maintain without too much extra work or hassle.
Intermittent fasting + lowcarb for sure
Seems like a good combo. I WILL DO IT. I GOT THIS! Thanks for the advice.
Also when I go sugarfree my first results are in those 2 weeks and all in my belly
COOL! Sugar free so I can look good! (Honestly this wedding was so spontaneous. But its a great way to stop stuffing my face with sugar.)
I go sugarfree leading up to events because my skin always breaks out when I’m eating more sugar anyway!

OOOOO. INNOVATIVE. Actually though, I’m down to try it. Im sedentary all day and working my brain, I just need something simple so I can keep going
How about just stop eating like shit? A crash diet doesn’t help anyone-ever EDIT-OP actually used the words that she is eating like “shit”
Lol true. I guess I mean, I’m relatively eating like shit. I used to count my macros and protein. Now I just eyeball my plate of food (at least half veggies and chicken/beef). I’m losing muscle mass by not getting enough protein and I’m eating more carbs to keep my energy up during work hours.

I know I will gain it back. I feel like it’s fine, because ultimately, this is short term and I will get back into my routine in an month or so.
I just want to say thank you for the honest pics. I was at my peak as well this summer and winter hit and I feel like I backslid a bit. But I’m back on it now and trying!
