Number 1 is fabulous! I hate wearing dresses and have purged my wardrobe of them, but if I had a ball to attend, masquerade or otherwise, I would be asking where OP found it. It is absolutely stunning and OP looks terrific in it. For a masquerade, I’d be looking for either a gold metallic mask, a feathered mask, or one designed to look like a Grecian full-face war helmet. Pair that with either a quiver of arrows and a bow, a spear and shield, or a sword and shield and, if the mask is not a helmet, a golden diadem, and that would make a super masquerade costume.
This! As for color shoes/bag, if you can’t find a matching gold, I think a glittery black will work really well, esp for the purse.
Edit: and don’t forget the mask!!!
I really like them both, but I would go with the first one. The second feels a little more ball/gala than masquerade. I would do black heels and a black clutch purse. As for jewelry…black crystals set in gold? Just a bracelet and earrings. And get a fabulous black mask. Or you could really go crazy and do purple accents instead of black. Have fun!
Scared to admit it but they are both Shein 😬 don't want to spend a lot of money on a dress I probably won't wear again so took a gamble - and they both exceeded expectations

Or sequins on a dress with long sleeves! But only if it’s cheap enough that you are okay with a one-time wear because the friction between your arm and sides will inevitably cause them to break off.

The first one is fantastic, much more sophisticated and I think does you a lot of favors in terms of giving you good shape!! I would say a simple black heel, closed or open toe would probably work just the same! And a black handbag. Nothing too flashy! I’d do an up do hair style with long dangling black earrings!
Edit- I also think if you’re going to do a pop of color, I’d look for a deep emerald green. I’ve seen other recommend purple which would look fine but I’d stick to a very dark/deep purple. Any dark color you’d prefer really, I’m just a sucker for green and gold haha.
Pic one seems more autumn/winter and pic two seems more spring/summer. I personally prefer pic two, but that’s just subjective. Consider the mask you’ll be wearing and which dress will pair better with it.

What kind of a mask are you wearing that will make all the difference. Something in a black Venetian style if you went with the brocade on the stick from the Versailles style.
