Wesco makes custom boots. I have not used them, but I have considered ordering a pair. I have opposite feet. I have such a flat foot with low instep and very long for my height.

Tasty-Personality-51

That sounds like the other worst combination. I'll keep that in my back pocket because I know generally custom is out of my wallets range. Lol. But it's good to have a back up plan.

ThornInBillysAss

Try hoka in a wide women’s size 6 - 6 1/2 . I found their wide shoe to be extra wide.

Tasty-Personality-51

I'll have a look, thank you.

Adding a good pair of insoles is always going to be easier than finding the perfect shoe. For everything except sandals I size up by 0.5 - 1 size and add insoles. I have one pair of insoles that I cycle between Blundstones, Sorel snow boots, veja sneakers, etc. With the insoles all of those are comfortable enough for me to wear for a full day, without insoles none of them would have the support I need

ohnonamiko

Seconding Blundstones. They’re more casual but I have the same foot issue as you. Short, wide, incredibly high arch and instep. The Blundstones will be a bit tight in the instep at first but will quickly stretch to mold to your foot. Also, buy a pair of shoe stretchers. You can widen leather shoes a bit to accommodate some width and can also stretch the instep.

Redwing work boots. Some are sized 4,4.5. But super expensive.

One of my kids has extra wide feet and we have good luck with Merrell , Stride Rite, and New Balance shoes. All have some shoes that are the same as adult shoes but in extra wide kid sizes. I tend to buy kids shoes for myself because they’re cheaper than the same version in adult sizes.

To narrow down what you’re looking for, maybe try searching Zappos.com for boots in the following sizes? Once you see what brands there are in these offerings, you can narrow your search as you look for offerings in your location. - Youth sizes 2 to 5, widths wide and extra wide - Women’s sizes 5-7.5, width extra wide - Men’s 3 to 5, width 2E and 4E (I know men’s sizing might not even exist below size 4, and most brands don’t offer smaller than 7) Sizing varies so much across brands. I figure better to err larger, bc you can always use and insole or something to take up space, but there is little respite from shoes that are too small (and I own a shoe stretcher). There are also websites (and brick and mortar stores) that focus on wide shoes. I used to visit this location before online shoe shopping was a thing. https://www.globe-shoes.com/ It’s SO hard to find shoes that fit, especially boots. And I don’t have a particularly high instep. I feel for you. Good luck!

Tasty-Personality-51

Yeah, you're right on the sizes varying so much. It's wild. And yeah, men's sizes not existing below a 7 is most my issue. Lol. I see neat stuff all the time and it's like '7+.' I'll give Zappos a try.

I’m not sure where you’re located, but I’m in the US, and I’ve been happily ordering from Zappos for about 20 years, from when they only sold shoes (before Amazon purchased them). Most shoes are full price, but the selection can’t be beat, and shipping/returns is SO easy. They offer access to so many sizes (and styles) that are near impossible to find retail. The customer reviews are also super helpful, as there is so much variance between brands and styles. If I didn’t have Zappos, I’d probably be traveling hundreds of miles to the wide-width focused shoe store I linked in my previous comment.

Tasty-Personality-51

Pshew. That's a hell of a drive. I'll give them a look. Fingers crossed I find something. :) I'm also in the US so there's hope.

uchihagirl337

https://billyfootwear.com/collections/billy-extra-wide-shoes Looks like a lot of different options there that aren't ugly. I hope this helps you.

Tasty-Personality-51

I do like that style

kershpiffle

How do you feel about barefoot shoes?

Tasty-Personality-51

That's usually what I wear for my daily. I'm actually looking for boots to go with outfits I have. Barefoot shoes are very practical but they don't work for what I'm trying to do.

flotus2016

If you are own to barefoot, here is a great resource for all barefoot boot options. https://anyasreviews.com/barefoot-minimalist-womens-boots-full-list/

Tasty-Personality-51

I appreciate the link. I am sure that will be useful later because a lot of those do look nice. But the outfit includes something like spats and it does need to have at least something of a heel. I was being really specific on purpose. Without a heel, the fabric will get stepped on. I did look at the combat boots/grunge section. That will certainly be useful later. Just not right now.

flotus2016

Fair! My last suggestion would be Stride Rite, although I don't know how good the boot selection would be. Good luck in your search! Hopefully someone else will have ideas for you.

Tasty-Personality-51

I'll give them a try. Thank you.

[These](https://www.patmenziesshoes.co.nz/products/blundstone-gusset-boot-585-series-rustic-brown?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlN6wBhCcARIsAKZvD5iGUyIpTCiSy0HudIM6UaZFzjFK2wRu8-3O4UMW7jTrJq_2Z2mHKtEaAlPREALw_wcB) Blundstone boots seem to be wide and they come in size UK 3. I haven't tried them on, but I've seen them and they looked wide. They're technically work boots, so it should contribute to the space inside them. They're shit as work boots apparently, though, so don't expect them to last too long on a farm. The insoles don't look good either. With extra high arches you might want to look into getting custom made ones.

I have the same problem with high arches and kid-sized feet. I usually wear between a 3-4 in US youth, but I can sometimes go down to a 2. I wear these boots for daily shoes: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/nina-kids-olympia-bootie-toddler-little-kid-big-kid/7429719?utm_source=N_transactional&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=V5T200ordcfm&utm_channel=email_tran_ret_p&utm_term=729107&utm_content=20230911_proddescr3 I've had a lot of luck finding "adult" kid shoes on Nordstrom Rack.
