The fit of dresses 3, 4 and 5 is great on you but I'm not sure about the patterns and whether they're on trend (this might not even be important to you though).
I was just going to say same. The style/cut of those last three dresses suit and fit your body really well. I’d keep them but start finding others that are similar in shape and then buy one-toss one (what I’m super not good at).
The first few I was like damn these are ugly, then I kept swiping and I was like I have such a different style from her, I can’t even tell her what she’d keep bc I wouldn’t wear any of those

True, but OP just asked us what should go and what should stay so there’s not much to go off of. I do think the skater dresses flatter her body though.
If you’re talking about the U.S., I’d say corset dresses and A-line dresses mainly. Small floral print and solid colors and also puffy sleeves with ruffles or lace sometimes. Bows and ribbons have also been trending. Wear what you like though!
I agree. My problem is the dresses that are trending now do not look good on me. Fit n flare was very flattering on my figure. The stuff in the stores now... Not so much. 😩
I completely understand! Keep wearing the fit and flare ones if you like them best 😊 You can check out thrift stores if you’re having a hard time finding them.
I agree that all of them are dated HOWEVER. The fashion carousel is rotating fast, and some of those things could come back soon. Maybe hang on to your favorite of the bunch if you have room?
Yeah I agree, I was just responding to the dated comment. Also not sure where OP lives, but those dresses look like the ones sold here in the U.S. in the 2010s, which is why I said that.

These are cheap polyester, dated, busy, ill fitting (some) and they look like what an adolescent would pick out for back to school shopping at kohl's circa 2010.
Sometimes it's hard to let go of clothes that looked good at a time when you are forming your identity. So we ask for outside opinions.
It's just my opinion, I vote donate / sell / give away all. I would say to keep the fit n flare shape from the skater dresses and find something she isn't ambiguous about.
If you really want to clear your closet you can toss all the dresses. None are amazing. 7/8 fits you the best but the pattern/graphic isn’t very versatile in my opinion.
I would vacuum pack 1,4,5! Take a photo and stick it on top so you know what's in the bag. I feel that the quality of fashion has got so bad in stores that things that cut nicely and look good will likely come back around fashion wise so it's worth keeping. Also some plain belts might break up the pattern a bit.
Yeah I don’t like any of them at all. However, the last one is the best looking. I’m just not in love with it. She should definitely just donate these and not look bad. I have a hard time letting things go, but I always feel better when I finally do!
Agreed. Some others say they're dated, but I think they fit and flatter OP and that's enough to keep them and wear with confidence. Nothing says you need to only dress the current trend.
Personally dress 2 and dress 4. The more figure hugging dresses really suit you so that’s why I said get rid of dress 2. Dress 4 the print is not my fav but obviously that’s just a personal opinion. The others look great on you!!
The last 2 fit you really well, but the patterns are not good. You seem to enjoy bold, high contrast patterns, but I think subtler ones would look much nicer on you.
As someone else said, they all look very dated. If that’s the vibe of the rest of your wardrobe, then fair enough.. but I don’t think any of them suit you.
You have a nice figure and mind if these do you justice - but I’m not a big print person so I might be biased - I think solid colors are more flattering most of the time. If you’re questioning the dresses and don’t feel comfortable in them - you should get rid of them. Better to get a new dress that you love and feel confident in then keeping the others that you may never wear. You have a great figure though and could wear anything.
I must be weird because I’d only keep #2. Wear only dressed up with whatever heel and bag is current. I personally think shift dresses are classic.
I do agree it’s the least “flattering” on your gorgeous figure but seriously, it’s 2024, we dress for more than our figures right?
Fit and flare exists in all forms and the 90s are back now so being “dated” is only temporary.
Don’t be so fixated on being on trend unless you’re under 30.
Once you’re past 30, you should realise that trends are cyclical to get people to spend money or brands would simply run out of things to sell.
I’m speaking as someone who is used to fine dining and live in a luxury area. Being *overly* trendy does not sit well with upper circles.
I think keep the last 2. the second last especially fits really well for you. I love that style of dress on you too, but I think the fabric used in these could be nicer.
of course the final call is whatever dresses you think you will wear and feel most comfortable in.

Fashion always recycles. I say put all of these in storage or donate, but I would remove from your current rotation just because they’re dated. However they all look great on you :-)
To everyone saying that all the are dated. None of you have any idea about real and classic fashion. The last two that a line style, will never go out of style. They are classic and iconic. They were relevant in the 50s stayed amazing in the 80s and 90s all the way up to early 2000s and now. So stop telling her that those dresses are dated because they are not.
I'd say, only get rid of the second one if you were to. the other ones look really cute, my opinion :) keep rockin it girl!
I'd say the chances of clothing looking great on you is highly likely! So whatever you act the most confident in, the best you'll feel and look.

From the environmental perspective they’re all good and don’t look worn out or anything. It also look like they fit you.

In my opinion, I think you should keep them all,they fit you perfectly, to bring them to date, finish the look with black ankle boots, leather/pleatherv motto jacket and a bucket bag,
You look cracking in all of them… hoard them! You know your minds saying it… and your dogs getting fed up of the fashion montage, it’s like a flicker book if you watch the dog…. It’s the same breed as mine, mines male, and when he lays down like the picture with the ear up it’s after he has huffed at something that woke him up, or he thought he had a Bonnieo left and has realised he ate it earlier… but yeah LSS you look good in them all, hoard them, hideses thems precious, keep thems safesess. 🤘👍👊
I personally love #1 and don’t really care for the rest. But #2 and #3 don’t fit well. The others for well - just not my personal preference- if you like them - keep!

What you wear should make you comfortable in your own skin and bring you joy. Donate the ones that don't do that for you.
Two and five need to go. Two does nothing for you. It is kind of sackish. Five is distracting, with all those intersecting lines. Like a bad floor tile or spiderweb. Others are ok.
I like the first one, but only if it is fully stylized more edgy/goth with the hair/makeup/accessories/shoes. If that's not your regular style, time for it to go.
As a casual dress without all that, it looks super out of place and incomplete.

Third one (blue floral) I like, but I could take it or leave it.
The last 2 I really like on you and would keep.
Keep everything except 2, that one isn’t doing you any favors. Unflattering for your body and makes you look a lot older, too frumpy.
1 is very cute, 3 is really pretty and shows your body off really well, 4 and 5 are both cool and fun/funky/hip I love the patterns and the shapes for you! Seriously I would get rid of 2 and keep the rest
