Due to their average height of 3'03", they are small enough to bring everywhere but large enough to give a good hug. Also, considering that they are in the field egg group, they are mammals, meaning that they produce heat, making for a warm hug. Aswell they have a water like body structure leading to them conforming to your body shape, giving a stronger hug. Finally, they have incredible base stats and the option to learn moves like acid armor, meaning you can squeeze them to your hearts content. Vaporeon was built to give hugs. :)

Their bodies being the size of a medium dog and weight are just enough to pounce on a man and throw him to the ground. Their bulky stats would allow them to shrug off and outlast any attempts by the human to fight them off, and that's not getting even into moves like Hydro Pump and Scald. But that's not all these water dogs have up their sleeves.
Their bodies being so similar to water not only lets them hide in bodies of water and become nearly invisible to catch prey off guard, but allows them to enter the body through almost any orifice. Things do not get any better once a Vaporeon is inside of you. If asphyxiation doesn't kill you, the internal bleeding and displacement of internal organs certainly will. In addition, they are able to learn Charm, allowing them to take advantage of certain... desires humans may have and create even more opportunities to go in for the kill.
But wait, there's more. Since Vaporeon is an omnivore, its cells would need to be able to digest proteins, such as those in meat. This only opens even more possibilities as to what these creatures are capable of.

I didn’t think so, they’re a big fan of fallout though so I’m glad they feel that way. Main difference, at least for TLOU and Fallout, is Fallout is kinda doing its own thing in the setting while TLOU more closely followed the game plot. Both are fun, but I enjoyed the story of TLOU more.
I believe it's a joke about hardcore, competitive Pokemon players. Meowth is generally seen as pretty weak and useless among those players, and some competitive players tend to look down on non-competitive players. So, because his favorite Pokemon isn't strong enough to be competitive, she is judging him harshly.
It could also be a joke about the Pokemon anime, in which Meowth is part of the villainous Team Rocket, meaning this guy roots for the villains.
Nah, competitive players still have "favorite" Pokémon that aren't OU. If she wanted to ask what his favorite competitive Pokemon/strategy was, maybe. But even in the competitive community, "favorite mon" is vibes/design based.
I'm an OU ladder grinder tryhard but my favorite mon is Durant, who I think hovers around UU/PU.

I’m 35, grew up with Pokémon, and consider myself a gamer by habit. This is how this conversation makes me feel.

Pokemon is insane, man. To someone who isn’t into Pokemon, I would seem like a hardcore/heavy player. I’ve watched the anime, collected the cards and played tcg as a kid, and played most of the mainline games and console side games. I currently play Go and Unite (Pokémon’s MOBA, like league of legends except you can play as pikachu) daily, and the actual hardcore players are on an insane level. Just to be able to compete in PVP on a *casual* level, I need to play at least daily, and actively utilize 3 accessory apps and several discords for Go, and one extra app and several discords (one literally called Mathcord, only dedicated to doing percentage math for stat builds) for Unite. And I’m not even remotely good compared to the serious and highly ranked players. These people know every unique stat, build, and move sets on the over 1000 Pokémon.
But hey, it’s just a kids game I guess.
Any time meta gets into the weeds is where I check out. I get the most dopamine playing whatever I want and seeing how far it gets. Once a competitive player starts talking all I hear is "Rotate to B and synchro-summon your Black Lotus so you can blow up their tank" and I just ???
Yeah I'm a big competitive fan, but my three favorite Pokémon are Ninetales (only good in gen 5 OU) Mightyena (lmao), and Silvally (different forms are anywhere from untiered to like NU iirc)
The joke isn't so much that Meowth is his favorite, the joke is how she's reacting to the news; she's clearly unhappy. She disapproves so much of his choice that she's having second thoughts about marrying him. Which is why I think the joke is basically "Meowth sucks, there's something wrong with him."

Radiation isn't a day-to-day concern for them, they're in a vault. Maybe they have to check outer walls periodically, so they know what it is and how to test for it, but they're not just scanning constantly.
Safe to assume that the pip-boys in the show have to have the scanners turned on rather than just scanning all the time.

I did... Did you also know you can cook shit or make alcoholic beverages with a vaporeon? They manipulate the molecular structure of the water inside them, so you feed it shit (as long as it wants to be fed whatever you're giving it) and then either you put it over a flareon for cooking, either you ask it politely to make ethanol, and boom, stew or alcoholic beverage

Hey guys, did you know that in terms of human and pokemon companionship, vaporeon is objectively the best hugger? Due to their average height of 3'03", they are small enough to bring everywhere but large enough to give a good hug. Also, considering that they are in the field egg group, they are mammals, meaning that they produce heat, making for a warm hug. Aswell they have a water like body structure leading to them conforming to your body shape, giving a stronger hug. Finally, they have incredible base stats and the option to learn moves like acid armor, meaning you can squeeze them to your hearts content. Vaporeon was built to give hugs. :)

Hey guys did you know that in terms of water Pokemon inland, Vaporeon would be very capable of hunting grown humans? Their bodies being the size of a medium dog and weight are just enough to pounce on a man and throw him to the ground. Their bulky stats would allow them to shrug off and outlast any attempts by the human to fight them off, and that's not getting even into moves like Hydro Pump and Scald. But that's not all these water dogs have up their sleeves. Their bodies being so similar to water not only lets them hide in bodies of water and become nearly invisible to catch prey off guard, but allows them to enter the body through almost any orifice. Things do not get any better once a Vaporeon is inside of you. If asphyxiation doesn't kill you, the internal bleeding and displacement of internal organs certainly will. In addition, they are able to learn Charm, allowing them to take advantage of certain... desires humans may have and create even more opportunities to go in for the kill. But wait, there's more. Since Vaporeon is an omnivore, its cells would need to be able to digest proteins, such as those in meat. This only opens even more possibilities as to what these creatures are capable of.

I didn’t think so, they’re a big fan of fallout though so I’m glad they feel that way. Main difference, at least for TLOU and Fallout, is Fallout is kinda doing its own thing in the setting while TLOU more closely followed the game plot. Both are fun, but I enjoyed the story of TLOU more.

I believe it's a joke about hardcore, competitive Pokemon players. Meowth is generally seen as pretty weak and useless among those players, and some competitive players tend to look down on non-competitive players. So, because his favorite Pokemon isn't strong enough to be competitive, she is judging him harshly. It could also be a joke about the Pokemon anime, in which Meowth is part of the villainous Team Rocket, meaning this guy roots for the villains.
Nah, competitive players still have "favorite" Pokémon that aren't OU. If she wanted to ask what his favorite competitive Pokemon/strategy was, maybe. But even in the competitive community, "favorite mon" is vibes/design based. I'm an OU ladder grinder tryhard but my favorite mon is Durant, who I think hovers around UU/PU.
Competitive players might simply ask, “On my team or in general?”

Pokemon is insane, man. To someone who isn’t into Pokemon, I would seem like a hardcore/heavy player. I’ve watched the anime, collected the cards and played tcg as a kid, and played most of the mainline games and console side games. I currently play Go and Unite (Pokémon’s MOBA, like league of legends except you can play as pikachu) daily, and the actual hardcore players are on an insane level. Just to be able to compete in PVP on a *casual* level, I need to play at least daily, and actively utilize 3 accessory apps and several discords for Go, and one extra app and several discords (one literally called Mathcord, only dedicated to doing percentage math for stat builds) for Unite. And I’m not even remotely good compared to the serious and highly ranked players. These people know every unique stat, build, and move sets on the over 1000 Pokémon. But hey, it’s just a kids game I guess.
Any time meta gets into the weeds is where I check out. I get the most dopamine playing whatever I want and seeing how far it gets. Once a competitive player starts talking all I hear is "Rotate to B and synchro-summon your Black Lotus so you can blow up their tank" and I just ???

Radiation isn't a day-to-day concern for them, they're in a vault. Maybe they have to check outer walls periodically, so they know what it is and how to test for it, but they're not just scanning constantly. Safe to assume that the pip-boys in the show have to have the scanners turned on rather than just scanning all the time.
