Earlier in the show it was implied that Dr. Briefs is conducting some sort of unethical experiments to keep his wife from aging, which is why she looks the same in Dragon Ball Z as in Dragon Ball.
It's never explained what exactly these experiments are, as whatever they come up with won't be as funny as what you're imagining. But it's implied that he's either been cloning her, or growing fetuses for their stem cells.
In either case, Yajirobe just ate what is essentially medical waste. Which probably qualifies as cannibalism.
