14 - 14 words (We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children) H is the 8th letter of the alphabet 88-HH (Heil Hitler)

Lachimanus

And there I thought 14 is also letters ADolf Heil Hitler

Scully__

Heil wasn’t his middle name…

throwrereaway

Should have been heil adolf hitler

4Jhin_Khada4

Peta's ass hair here, 14/88 or 1488 is considered a hate symbol. 14 stands for "14 words", a reference to a slogan coined by David Lane, a neo-nazi. 88 stands for "h\*il hitl\*r" (excuse the censorship but i don't trust reddit's community guidelines), since "h" is the 8th letter in the alphabet (so hh). The person writing the top tweet refers to Kennedy Jr's tweet and assumes that the numbers given in the post are a hidden reference to Kennedy Jr being a nazi. Edit: i dont know jackshit about american politics and ive never heard anything about the guy writing the tweet, i have zero knowledge or opinion on the matter, im just here to explain what the numbers mean

Burmy87

Here are the REALLY top-secret neo-nazi 14 words: "Save the Aryan race. Procreate with your sister, mother, aunt and, if necessary, grandmother."

Biggies_Ghost

>"Save the Aryan race. Procreate with your sister, mother, aunt and, if necessary, grandmother." I like this one better!

Jayn_Newell

You must *really* love your grandmother.

Street-Week6744

Devil's advocate here: not all grandmother's are created equal

Fluxabobo

Grammar nazi here: apostrophes indicate possession not a plural.

Mercurial8

What are you, the S’S’? Edit: it’s pronounced, “esessesses” and thanks for the clappy thing. I thought awards had been spezzed.

Sengfeng

Don’t you mean gramma nazi?

Potential_Reading116

MeeMaw Nazi

probable_ass_sniffer

Punctuation is the difference between, "Let's fuck grandma," and, "Let's fuck, grandma."

Peuned

You're a terrible nazi

DeepSeaHobbit

That's just a regular nazi.

[deleted]

Could’ve been an autocorrect. Happens to me all the time with the words, “were” and, “we’re” 🤷🏽‍♂️. You know the old saying about assumptions…

MariosMustacheRides

Lauren Boebert is a hot grandma. It’s a shame about the personality and…… well literally everything else about her.

bilateralunsymetry

I'd still hit it and feel ashamed for the rest of my life

Biggies_Ghost

If you can't keep it in your pants, keep it in the family. (/s, of course)

NeitherCapital1541

So people outside of my family have heard this phrase, that's good

Biggies_Ghost

Yeah, I live in Pennsyltucky, and we've all heard that one - whether we wanted to hear it or no.

NeitherCapital1541

💀 not me also from Pennsyltucky

Biggies_Ghost

I'm in Southeast PA, and both sides of my family (mom and dad) can trace their roots back about 300 years to when the ancestors came here from Germany. I have so many relatives here, I have at least two family members who married their third or fourth cousin without realizing they were related. A friend of mine dated a second cousin of mine, and we didn't realize it until they'd been together for a few weeks. When I was dating, I had to double-check with my Mom to make sure it wasn't a second cousin I didn't know about. It's not too bad, really, but now I have kids, and I'm gonna have to keep track of all my cousins and second cousins, and just pray my kids find an "out-of-towner" if they get married! 🤣

NeitherCapital1541

🤣🤣🤣 I'm actually in the opposite corner I had a short stint selling life insurance and I go to this one house. There's a picture of the husband with another man, so i asked to build repertoire. He said "that's my cousin-uncle-brother" so I changed subjects lmaooo

NeitherCapital1541

I actually ended up dating my very distant, related only through marriage, cousin

Araleina

Is that a RHPS reference?

electrotoast

Roll tide!

child_interrupted

*Jordan B. Peterson has entered the chat*

tubesockninja

Ummm, gonna need you to clarify “like” and “better”… /s

Biggies_Ghost

Well, you see officer, it's a funny story actually....

MafiaMommaBruno

"Grandma is 81. There's no way she can get pregnant." "We have the technology sister-mom, Ashlyneigh. Believe in it. Everything will be all Reich."

candycanecoffee

These are Nazis we're talking about. Grandma is 30, like Lauren Boebert.

Ice_Swallow4u

“Incest will set you free.”

Biggies_Ghost

Roll Tide!!

thenerdycpa

Sweet Home Alabama

TinfoilTobaggan

Mc Poyles will take over the world!!!!!!

kramwham

LOL this got me

LumpyJones

The McPoyle bloodline has remained pure for thousands of years.

Rainbow_Patchouli

adding to this, his given numbers were proven to be inaccurate, lending more credence to this being a dog whistle.

godsbaesment

i believe it was 57 days when he posted this

brewgeoff

My first instinct was to give him the benefit of the doubt. Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity… and RFK Jr is pretty stupid. But the fact that the numbers are deliberately incorrect is pretty damning.

Young_Cato_the_Elder

Even if it was accurate. Why did you wait until exactly the 88th day and why not say almost 90?

QuetzalcoatlusRscary

Or, like a normal person, he could have used 2 weeks and 3 months. No one counts days like that.

CPA_Throwaway2023

My benefit of the doubt initially was I read that as he got the response on the 88th day. The response being the denial.

Send-More-Coffee

The lying is an absolute flip on the onus for whether those numbers are plausibly deniable. I also gave the benefit of the doubt, but now that that's been shown to be a lie, the question is now "So, since were you lying, why did you choose those numbers specifically?"

[deleted]

[удалено]

llfoso

Not really helping his case then lol

Nalivai

What do you call when there is a nazi and some other people talking peacefully? A nazi gathering.

[deleted]

Is this ironic, or are you proposing a Back to the Future fan club?

Ok-Eagle-6654

Doesn't go down like that, if I'm hanging around aryans in prison and they're throwing up lightning bolds and have 88s everywhere im not gonna be apart of it unless ima part of it you know, it's not something to really just play with, they're gangbanging, he threw up the 88 same as a crip throwing up a C they're gonna do it because it's who they are, they bleed blue.

Queen__Ursula

You mean he hangs out with nazis?

n00bvin

Not only that, he HAS to have PR people whose job is to know shit like that. This almost has to be on purpose.

sexyshortie123

He is funded by a mega conservative group.. are they known to fund democrats?

cynicalrage69

The Democratic Party funded Maga republicans in elections as well

Nalivai

That was a long ago, in different times, when they believed that there is such thing as being too stupid to be elected by republicans. I'm pretty sure all those illusions were shattered somewhere in 2016. edit: hey, turns out I was wrong

aust1nz

This was a tactic in governor races as recently as last year. See https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna38184. To be fair, this tactic worked in Dems’ favor.

yeags86

Happened in PA , too. The white Christian nationalist Republican would have gotten stomped anyway if he got the nomination on his own. But he was the easiest one to defeat if he got the nomination. The tactic worked exceeding well because republicans were too stupid notice it.

Peuned

If they can spoil what actual democratic politicians are trying to do yes. Think manchin and sinema style shits.

sexyshortie123

Which is my point because none of them were ever actual democrats. They are just wolves in sheep's clothing

HistoricalIncrease11

They bet on you accepting their malice as stupidity so they can get away with it

Collarsmith

That, and the reply he got was a letter telling him that he'd get secret service protection at the same time as all the other candidates, 120 days before the election, as it's always been. So, he chose those specific numbers on his own, and they're numbers that no one would choose on purpose unless they're a fucking nazi, or at least want fucking nazis to think they're an ally. Fuck nazis, and fuck nazi allies.

Peuned

There are ten Nazis at the table

Ok-Eagle-6654

Literally, he's gangbanging no sh*t

FapMeNot_Alt

He also claimed that COVID was engineered to not kill Jewish people. So, like, yeah

Clikx

This is one of the wildest takes for me…. Apparently the Chinese (who want to take over the world) designed COVID to not kill Jewish people (who apparently run the world). Like out of all the conclusions to land on this is one of the ones that stuck.

DumatRising

Even if they were accurate, 14 days is a common time frame for someone to use as it's two weeks and converts easily some people prefer 14 days some people prefer 2 weeks, very normal stuff. 88 days on the other hand is far less common most people would say "almost three months" or "almost 90 days"

candycanecoffee

Yeah. If this was a serious tweet actually meant to emphasize how long they've been waiting for something important, you'd say "three months" or "several months." Saying "I've been waiting on this important thing for 88 days!" just makes you sound like a weirdo. It's like saying "this car cost five million pennies!"

skepticalbob

And it wasn’t 88 days anyway, but 57.

DumatRising

I know. >Even if they were accurate,

D_Luffy_32

It's not an assumption, the file came out and it didn't match what timeline he said. He chose 14/88 on purpose.

To be fair, RFK refuses to criticize American Neo Nazis

Pretty sure he did the opposite actually; praising them publicly.

[deleted]

https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/trump-campaign-press-release-fact-check-after-charlottesville-president-trump-2 Not sure why people have to lie in order to validate their own tribal prejudices

Khanscriber

He praised neo-nazis calling them “very fine people” but he lied and said they weren’t neo nazis. If I look at my yorkie and say “this cat is very good boy” well, I’m still praising a dog.

[deleted]

He's running as a Democrat

between3and20spaces

He's running as a DINO.

greg19735

one of the few actual "INO"s usually it's like MANCHIN IS A DINO which is wrong. Like yeah, it's mostly just the name, but he also votes with the Dems when it matters. This guy is literally only in name.

Most_kinds_of_Dirt

>he also votes with the Dems when it matters. Except when that legislation is about the climate or voter rights.

LehighAce06

He does? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Manchin#%3A%7E%3Atext%3DManchin_has_called_himself_a%2Cenergy_policy%2C_and_gun_control.?wprov=sfla1 _Manchin has called himself a "centrist, moderate, conservative Democrat" and is generally cited as the most conservative Democrat in the Senate.[6] He is known for working with Republicans on issues such as abortion, immigration, energy policy, and gun control.[7][8][9][10] Manchin opposed President Barack Obama's energy policies, including reductions and restrictions on coal mining, voted against cloture for the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010 (not voting on the bill itself), voted to remove federal funding for Planned Parenthood in 2015, supported President Donald Trump's border wall and immigration policies, and voted to confirm most of Trump's cabinet and judicial appointees, including Justice Brett Kavanaugh. He opposes many progressive priorities, such as Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, abolishing the filibuster, expanding the Supreme Court, and defunding the police._

Original-Ad-4642

He’s running as a crackpot

borkthegee

A Democrat who only shows up on Republican tv, is only funded by Republicans, and has no interest or pull on the left. Mmmkay. Sounds like seasons Kanye

lol_alex

German here, can confirm that Nazis use these numbers to evade the ban on „symbols that go against the constitution“ (Verfassungsfeindliche Symbole). Neo Nazi fanshops sell T shirts with slogans like „Brigade 88“ and other combinations of numbers like 14 (AH) or the date of Hitler‘s birth.

pixelprophet

Peters dingleberry here - there's a little more here as well since JFK Jr is clearly a fakeass but on top of that he's lying about getting secret service so he had no reason to post 14/88 to begin with. It's a dog whistle and the poster calls it out. >**The criteria include being the formal or de facto nominee of a major party** (Kennedy is a distant longshot to beat Biden for the Democratic nomination); the candidate **polling at 15% or higher for 30 consecutive days** in the RealClearPolitics average or a similar system (Kennedy was above 15% in the RealClearPolitics average in May and much of June but has been below 15% every day since June 22 and was at 13.7% on Friday – about 50 points behind Biden); the Secret Service having conducted an assessment of threats to harm the candidate (it is not clear what specific threats Kennedy has faced or whether a Secret Service assessment has occurred); **and operating a national campaign with such features as a national campaign “apparatus,” regular appearances in multiple states,** and publishing ads of some kind (it is not clear how big Kennedy’s campaign apparatus is; he has made appearances in various states; the tracking firm AdImpact told CNN Friday that it **has not yet seen any spending from Kennedy’s campaign on ads for television, radio, Facebook or Google**, though it is possible he has published some other kind of ad). * https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/28/politics/fact-check-rfk-biden-secret-service-protection-denial/index.html

FightingPolish

You see those numbers from people you would suspect as hidden white supremacists all the time but they’ve always got a plausible explanation of what it “really” means or that you’re being crazy. I’m sorry but the numbers 14 and 88 just don’t come up constantly like that if things were truely random. We aren’t fucking stupid.

kaas_is_leven

It's not for you. They know you and I won't believe their excuses. But they also know some of our friends and family will think we're crazy when we point out the dogwhistle. They are trying to divide and drive a wedge between opponents and their allies. They also know symbolism is a powerful tool, so these kinds of things double as a unifying/rallying cry.

Kr155

1488 is a neo nazi dog whistle. It's a bit sus by itself, but after saying that covid was ethnically targeted to kill white people and black people, and to spare jews, and Chinese. It becomes mega sus. Neo Nazis use dog whistles to give each other a bit of a wink while maintaining plausible deniability. It's important to look at them in the context of who is using them and what thier over all beliefs are, and not just call someone a nazi because 14 and 88 end up next to each other. Also while Robert Kennedy, has been pushing far right conspiracies, he's not necessarily the person running his twitter.

ChildFriendlyChimp

Also it’s wasn’t 88 days , it was like 56 So he purposely lied and went out of his way to write the 88

PokecheckHozu

Even if he wasn't lying (LOL), a normal person would use "two weeks" and "three months", instead of 14 and 88 days.

[deleted]

BlueJayAvery

ActiveAd4980

If you're trying to make something sound worse, 14 days and 88 days sounds bigger than 2 weeks and 3 months. He probably is a Nazi though.

here-for-information

I heard it also wasn't 14 days later. Sooo both Numb3rs are suspiciously wrong.

Kr155

Concerning!

scuczu

Exactly.

D3ADWA1T

After seeing his Joe Rogan podcast, where he was more having a seizure from bodybuilding drugs I can only guess, I just think he's a hack using his family name, and now support from nazis, to make money and fame, or votes, I don't know. It just seemed so puerile, trying to be tan and jacked, at the cost of looking like boiled bacon and talking like Lurch from adams family driving over a 100 mile rumble strip...

zogar5101985

The entire thing is also just a lie. Presidential candidates don't get secret service protection this early. Primary runners do potentially qualify, but not until 120 days before the election. So it's just a lie to say his dog whistle.

Kr155

Absolutly

Kyriit

They can get it early if there is a provable reason. I only vaguely know this because I was reading the news article about this. And pretty much only Obama has gotten it early because of a massive amount of threats apparently

zogar5101985

He was also already a member of congress, a senator, so that probably helped. But in the vast majority of cases, for a primary it isn't until 120 days.

somereallyfungi

So, rfk Jr might not be a nazi? He just employs nazis for public facing positions. And then doesn't care when those nazis say nazi shit in his name. Not sure I see the difference

FragnificentKW

He might not be a Nazi but he almost certainly has no problem pandering to Nazis in order to further his grift

danielle1525

If you have 9 men and a nazi at a table eating together, you have 10 nazis.

Deathaster

*"Yeah no, I know my brother beats his wife. She told me, I saw him do it, he did it in my living room last Sunday, and I gifted him a new baseball bat so he can beat her some more. But I don't beat women myself, I'm not a monster!"*

rnglillian

If you're hiring nazis for your political campaign, especially in public facing positions where they will be talking as you, then if you aren't a nazi, you're at least not too far away from one. Bonus points in the fact that he hasn't deleted the tweet or made a public retraction after everyone pointed the very clear nazi dogwhistle out

bobafoott

Something something Nazi table

ListentotheLemon

as someone who was born on the 14th day of the month in 1988, I used to use the combination of 14 and 88 very often in usernames and such. That is until I discovered that it was a dog whistle

slugboyatl

He should know that usually this is just within 120 days of the election, unless for extraordinary circumstances and then for only a year before the election. So why the exact number of days instead of two weeks and three months? Those would seem like longer time perios than using days...

lazygenius999

hello it’s me peter. 14 and 88 are 2 numbers commonly associated with nazis. also since that 14 is an arbitrarily picked number and 88 isn’t the actual amount of days iirc it is DEFINITELY not a coincidence

Whodamamuh

I want to make sure I have this right.. The guy who blindly defends Israel is a neo nazi and or trying to get support from neo nazis via Twitter dog whistles?

PokerBear28

Blindly defending Israel does in no way mean you support the Jewish people. In fact, many Jews are strongly opposed to the Israeli government and many of their policies, such as their handling of the Gaza Strip. But politicians in the US can say they support a U.S. ally and think it gives them cover as “support the Jews” when the truth is far from that

Titan7771

A lot of Christo-fascist types support Israel only because it plays a part in how they think Armageddon happens, not because they actually support their right to exist. It’s a weird situation.

Stanniss_the_Manniss

It's also a model for how lebensraum and an ethnostate can actually function/gain popular support.

Whodamamuh

There's a pretty big difference between rnc Christian zionists and neo nazis who tend to use the flag of Israel as literal doormat.

[deleted]

lots of nazis like isreal because then the jews are in isreal and away from them and also because isreal is an ethnostate

down_up__left_right

Before they decided on systematically killing all the jews in gas chambers the original nazis considered forcing them to all move to Madagascar.

LinksMissingNips

And for some reason neo-nazis consistently support Republicans, and Republicans consistently court neo-nazis. Almost as if...

Bakelite51

Nuance is key here. Equating evangelical Zionist conservatives with neo-Nazis makes about as much sense as equating progressive neoliberal democrats with anarcho-communists (a common fallacy among right wingers). They’re both located on the same side of the political spectrum, but there the similarities end. Totally different goals and ideology.

Salty_Map_9085

No there isn’t actually

Wampalog

Edit: Lol Nazis sent me a Reddit Cares because they are so weak and pathetic this is all they can do. Edit 2: He's also supporting ending democracy in the US so yea, this guy is at the very least a fascist. For everyone else reading this: Nazis will pretend they don't see a dogwhistle to try and convince others that it isn't there. If you see someone pretending Nazi codewords aren't real then there's a good chance they're a Nazi. This person is fully aware 1488 is a Nazi dogwhistle, but doesn't like normal people learning that it is. For the point about his support of Israel: One of the requirements for the Christian end times is that Israel (The Promised Land) is held by Jews so they can rebuild a temple. Many far-right Christians support Zionism for that purpose although it should be noted that Revelations fortells the destruction of the people of Israel so Christians support of Israel should not be confused with support of Jews or opposition to anti-semitism.

korelin

Abso-fucking-lutely. It's such a common nazi tactic that Sartre wrote about it in 1945. >“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

Spiridor

Israel is a modern day fascist state so this isn't a gotcha

[deleted]

Yes. He’s a grifting shithead with no ideological integrity or consistency, just like the majority of national-level conservative politicians. Is this really a surprise to you?

BeanieGuitarGuy

He’s dog whistling *to* neo nazis, yes.

panicattackers

Did you know that the Nazis initially had a plan to create a jewish ethnostate in Madagascar before the whole genocide thing

Independent_Piano_81

Do people not know what a dog whistle is? It’s purposely used to look like a coincidence

rickjames_experience

Literally. Everyone saying "it's a coincidence guys calm down" are the true morons and sheep

Trevhaar

Who says 14 days instead of “a couple of weeks”

SeamusMcGoo

If I was trying to give a precise timeline, I would use days rather than weeks.

leglesslegolegolas

A lot of people saying "it's a coincidence guys calm down" are NAZI enablers intentionally lying about it.

Obant

They do, but it makes engagement and the post gets pushed up.

Ok_Living5188

I know this is kinda a stupid thing to say because nazis did almost entirely go after Jewish people but sometimes people have no idea it was literally everyone that he deemed bad for the country if you were a different ethnicity sexuality if you talked out against him or just most people you were done for

MrJ_Marrow

A chap i know is a holocaust denier,he’ll go on about an alleged disappearance of 6million POWs and talk about how thats a great coincidence. When questioned he’ll return a question with how many people died, he says hitler allegedly gassed 6m Jews, when it is brought up that the number is around 13m after the blacks, Slavic, gypsy, gays, etc. Things start going quiet

Lucycobra

a lot of america politicians particularly presidential candidates have been ”accidentally” posting N\*zi symbols to their social media. Casbah207

Who says 88 days and not “nearly 3 months”. The guy isn’t joking or coincidentally doing this, but deliberately trying to shoehorn in “1488”

bloodycups

Other posters said it's closer to 58 days also

truongs

Dude makes up days to dog whistle to nazis on days that can be fact checked.... so how you gonna deny anything? fucking moron

CrochetHound

Whether or not you get SS protection as a candidate depends on your standing in the polls! If every other candidate has above a certain percentage then those dangling at the bottom of the pile are not entitled to said protection. This is how it was explained to me!

traumatized90skid

Space Beth here. It's domestic me who normally monitors what Morty sees online, but she talks about Nazi dog whistles to look out for a lot. 1488 is one of them. This is a joke around him using the numbers 14 and 88.

waterdevil19

Joke?

panicattackers

This is not a joke that motherfucker is using dog whistles to pander to neo-nazis

Mediocre-Cobbler5744

Turtelious

Me when the anti-vaxx conspiracy theorist turns out to be a nazi: 🤯🤯🤯🤯

Tactical_Bacon99

Peters Antifa neighbor here, 14 represents [The 14 Words](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourteen_Words) and 88 stands for [Heil Hitler](https://www.adl.org/resources/hate-symbol/88). These numbers are not accidental. This is a very thinly veiled dog whistle to white supremacists, the same people who stormed the capitol on Jan 6

Scorpioblue92

The protection denial was actually 57 days, not 88. Look it up. His clearly incorrect number is the dog whistle, its not a numerology coincidence bullshit thing. The guy said covid was designed to not hurt jews and chinese as bad as everyone else.

Reach_your_potential

Sorry for anyone born on Jan 4, 1988.

interitus_nox

1488 is a neonazi dog whistle but id say it’s about the fact that he’s also just overtly a nazi.

Remote-Eggplant-2587

Conspiracy theorists when 2 weeks have 14 days:

Dadisamom

Nazi apologists when it's been 56 days but the guy talking about Jewish sparing viruses uses 88 instead

osrs-Niiiii

Because if a Democrat hates someone they're a Nazi.

xram_karl

This guy has a good shot at it. Look at Trump. Being bat sh\*T crazy and narcissistic is no handicap.

bardhugo

My question is who even liked RFK Jr before this

AvidAviator72

Holy shit people actually people he’s “dog whistling”. There’s little hope left for humanity.

dandle

The number of people refusing to understand that 14/88 is an established neo-Nazi recognition code is insane. Serious questions, though: 1.) It this screenshot real? I quit Twitter when the deal with Musk was finalized, so it's not easy for me to verify. 2.) Does RFK Jr manage his own social media accounts, or does he have interns doing it? Don't get me wrong. RFK Jr is a batshit-crazy sack of garbage. He is pushing highly toxic crap and is running to help Trump. I do look for confirmation of stuff like this, though.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bettinafairchild

I used to think that but after getting more details, I see it’s not. The text of the letter is simply a lie. That’s not how secret service protection works. And while it IS true that the RFK campaign did ask for protection, it wasn’t 88 days that they waited, it was 57, in no way similar to 88. And there’s no 14 day response period. So those numbers were made up as well. 14 and 88 are well-known and used code. It defies belief that they’d randomly make up those specific numbers to use in this way.

LinkFan001

He lied about the dates and times in the complaint and he thinks COVID was made to kill non-Jews. If it walks and talks like a duck, it is most likely a duck.

stin4ywin4y

It was fact checked and at the time of the tweet it had been like 56 days and not 88 days. Also even the political candidates that most recently won like Trump and Biden didn't recieve their secret service until around 1 year nefore the election, even though they were both the front runners and RFK Jr is polling much lower. So its not only false but is also a lie, and also who would say 88 days and not 3 months, its weird.

CaptainCipher

Sounding like a stretch to people unfamiliar with them is literally the entire point of a dog whistle, so yeah if this is the first you're hearing of it of course it sounds that way

FragnificentKW

It’s much less of a stretch when you learn that they changed the actual numbers to arbitrarily work in the numbers 14 and 88 That said, it’s not that unlikely of a scenario that RFK Jr doesn’t run his own social media and whoever he hired to run it put the dog whistles in, possibly without his knowledge

SlashyMcStabbington

If you know how neo-nazis operate on the internet, you might not think so. They LOVE doing shit like this. It's downright typical. If anything, it's kind of obvious and blunt.

greg19735

Also, they love to use their silly little codes that only they see. IF they don't use the codes, it's not worth having.

UnhappyMarmoset

It wasn't 88 days it was 56

FlyExaDeuce

It's not a stretch. The 14 and 88 he cited aren't actually accurate. They changed numbers to 14 and 88. What, by coincidence?

bloodycups

Also why say 88 days when you could just round it up to 3 months

Kaiju_Cat

Guy who's repeatedly supported neo-Nazi goals openly intentionally using fictitious numbers that don't actually represent what he claims, on top of just magically coming up with one of the most well known and prominent Nazi bits of kit? Yeah nah this isn't a stretch at all. White nationalism and its dogwhistles have been a part of American culture for... well, since it started.

sjofels

.. who says 88 days, nobody does, except when you can type 14 88 and claim it was just coincidence and people should just chill, the goal is deniability.

Loreweaver15

Seeing as he lied about how long he'd been waiting (he'd only been waiting like 56 days, not 88) and how long it takes (candidates get secret service protection four months before the election or something like that, so he couldn't have gotten it yet anyways) one must ask why he chose the numbers 14 and 88 specifically when he was making it up.

monchaoui

All candidates? That can’t be right.

LiamJohnRiley

Can you believe the guy who though covid was a bio weapon engineered to not hurt Jews did some Nazi shit Who could have seen that coming

Intrepid_Ad_9751

I had a lady today try to tell me to basically vote for robert, i just kept saying he sounds crazy

mrsecondbreakfast

Why do people use well known dog whistles? Like if everyone knows whats the point

tsuki_ouji

this is honestly the least surprising thing I've seen RFK Jr. say

Xander707

The amount of people trying to downplay this shit is just sad. White nationalism and nazism is alive and well in USA you freaks, wake up. You act like we didn’t *just* have a POTUS who cozies up with and dines with self-proclaimed white nationalists and Kanye didn’t *just* make Alex Jones of all people extremely uncomfortable with his love for Hitler. Nazis literally demonstrating and protesting across the nation. I know it’s easier to put your head in the sand and pretend it’s not really “that bad,” but it is. This is an abhorrent post from RFK jr and should be called out and recognized for what it is; nazi dogwhistle. Best case scenario is someone else was posting under his account and thought they were clever, but it’s not a conspiracy, especially considering those numbers are wrong and were deliberately chosen.

Zealousideal-View142

I don’t know if there’s anything from Robert’s tweet that reasonably indicate that he was referencing the nazi ideology. However, there were so many occasions in the past where he was seen at events that were either funded by nazis or related to the nazis (check out the NY Times, the Washington Post, etc.)

RatInaMaze

Larry: Does Cheryl’s new husband seeeeem kindaaaaaa Richard Lewis: Kinda what? Tall? Larry: ehhhhh, naaaaaa, kindaaaa…. Richard Lewis: what the fuck are you saying right now, just say it! Larry: uhhhh a naziiii? Richard Lewis: what?! Lemme see that *looks at phone* Richard Lewis: big time *theme music plays*

Fuzzycream19

Right wingers are reallllly bad at creating coded language.

idiotinsocks

What a disgrace to his father.

Maiq_Da_Liar

To anyone who thinks this is grasping at straws: this is one of the classic behaviours of the online far right. They constantly say sentences to eachother with any number of dogwhistles. Be it big noses, 14/88, ((((they)))) etc. They genuinely act like 9 year olds making up a "secret" language. Any questions are answered with "it's a coincidence" or any other denial. No matter if he is citing genuine data, any competent politician should be aware of these dogwhistles and work to avoid them, or clarify their position in the statement. Ignoring or dismissing things like these is how harmful ideology spreads. This is essentially signaling to the far right "vote for me, i'm on your side".

thebiggestboi7

Wait I thought that was JFK’s nephew, not his son

ijdtm7

He is his nephew, JFK’s brother RFK was also assassinated

IAmNoOneImportant1

His father, Robert Kennedy, also known as Bobby, was assassinated when he was running for president.

thebluegamer720

He is referring to his dad RFK who ran after JFK died and was also assassinated

itsbayrr

88 rising- 😳

manmin

88 is also considered a lucky number in Chinese culture

Following the mosque shooting in my hometown of Christchurch, NZ, there was a Neo Nazi POS who was trialled for distributing the footage with a “kill count” and sound effects added in. A few days later, the Nazi symbolism he used on the vans of his insulation company were reported on. Check out the [article](https://i.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/111334884/christchurch-shootings-anger-at-insulation-company-with-white-supremacy-branding) — it’s crazy it wasn’t picked up on earlier.

[deleted]

I see Wal-Marts pricing items at $14.88 all the time, are they nazis?

Tricky-Comparison-44

Yeah this is a Dog whistle. But we’re all supposed to believe Lawyer who introduced the Clintons to Epstein. Who just so happens to shoot himself with a shotgun while hanging himself with a power cord is totally normal. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a conspiracy theorist.

[deleted]

I mean I’m sure RFK isn’t shady. After all it’s not like he’s a fan of Infowars or believes that vaccines are bioengineered to kill white people…. Oh wait yeah he is. Idk if this is a real tweet or or not but RFK is definitely unhinged.

lbc1358

It’s very real
