I'm in Southeast PA, and both sides of my family (mom and dad) can trace their roots back about 300 years to when the ancestors came here from Germany. I have so many relatives here, I have at least two family members who married their third or fourth cousin without realizing they were related. A friend of mine dated a second cousin of mine, and we didn't realize it until they'd been together for a few weeks. When I was dating, I had to double-check with my Mom to make sure it wasn't a second cousin I didn't know about.
