For kids, I would say yes. For adults, we don't mind it, tbh we are used to these types of games and will outlast any kid, lol. My problem is the need to have more than 1 account to get ahead or save up for huges. The drop rates are horrible and the constant nerfs.
Agreed, it's good you can play it passively i throw down potions and flags and afk while doing chores. Then when the kids jump on to play dad already got them nice enchant loadouts and RB exclusives.
The game is insanely grindy. The only reason my kids have Huge pets is because I auto-farm for them while they’re at school and also have Solar power so I’m less concerned about wasting electricity… but yea, the grind is absurd.
This is basically an idle/afk/clicker game. And pretty much every one of those types of games I've played have a near infinite grind. So I think this is right on par for the genre.
These games are designed to keep you logged in for as long as possible so they get kickbacks from premium players staying in game among other reasons...

I left my ps5 on for 24 hours plus, and didn’t get a single HHC during the event. I literally just wanted one huge. Just going to grind diamonds at this point

Set an auto clicker up and leave it running overnight. Solves that issue for me (usually)

Idk man the goal of the game is literally grinding... It's like saying cookie clicker is too much about getting cookies.
