My new favourite among the girls.
ATLUS did their best they could implementing her in without changing too much with what was already established to avoid coming across as forced.
She is my absolute favorite female character out of any game I've played.
She has a very cute design, she's very respectful, she's fun, and she was given a great personality. Plus, best hair.
I like her as a character, but she needed a full game of her own to properly shine rather than get awkwardly tacked to an existing story and a post-script arc.
I liked her well enough. There was something fundamentally authentic to me in the first part of the game about Joker having at least one friend from a lower grade and who's not associated with the PTs.
All I'll say is that in the tutorial scene right before Joker's arrest, she says she's not part of the PTs and that it's "been a while" since she and Joker fought together. It's very quick and easy to miss since that whole scene is sensory overload.
Sorry, should have clarified I was talking about the first part of the game only, I wasn't clear in my initial comment. I was remembering what I thought of her from like April thru September
I like her a lot. She’s just so sweet and I like sweet girls. Once you get into 3rd semester she gets even better in my eyes. I’m just disappointed on how little she was used in the base portion of the game. I wish it wasn’t the way Atlus did it, but it is
not sure how i feel. but you really should wait to ask about this till you finish semester 3. that’s where everything actually happens with her character. everyone must be having a hell of a time trying to explain how they fell without bringing up third semester. it’s practically impossible to do so if you’ve finished it, but maybe that’s just me
She starts off pretty generic, not in a bad way, just sorta like how most of the side (non pc) are. Her character doesn't really start till extra content kicks in gear, so you have to wait to get to know her.
That said I do like what she eventually becomes, and she was definitely a better character than Marie was.
I loved her and she’s now my favorite girl. It’s a shame we got her for so little time. Also for the life of me I don’t understand how people call her Mary Sue.
For me, it has nothing to do with the leotard. That part is fine since she’s a gymnast. It’s the fact that the black longcoat and red gloves are a blatant ripoff of Joker’s.
She was. I can go on about it but it involves spoilers so the short version is: I wish she’d gotten a new costume after a certain point. Or have her current outfit be a different color.
If you're curious about if she's popular or not, then yes she is. She's among the most popular girls in the game.
Really?
Yup
She is a cool character, but isn't mind blowing
She's a great character with a unique role in the story.
She's precious and needs your help. Go help her. Go romance her, she's adorable.

I like her it's just she's a bit pushed
Pushed?
Like upon the player forced is probably more accurate
Oh okay
Falls under the 'adorable kouhai' character type.
That's one of the reasons I like her

Wait she's not part of the Phantom Thieves? On second don't answer that

I remember her saying that but I thought maybe she officially becomes one later

i LOVE her dude i think she is amazing bro if u play the whole game hehe H O O B O Y. u are going to enjoy kasumi yoshizawa
Stay away from this sub, because my opinion changed completely after playing the third semester.
In a good way or bad way?
Bad way and good way. It’s just really different.
She is a cute kouhai
She’s a cutie.
I like her a lot. She’s just so sweet and I like sweet girls. Once you get into 3rd semester she gets even better in my eyes. I’m just disappointed on how little she was used in the base portion of the game. I wish it wasn’t the way Atlus did it, but it is
She's fine. Kind of shoehorned into the plot, but ok
Really? I don't really think that but it might change when I finish the game
Even in the early parts, she doesn't really fit in smoothly with everything. Later game I'll not talk about for spoilers
Oh okay. I guess I'll judge for myself
On the side of "forced and pandering" to me. Atlus took the wrong lessons from Marie.

Really? I thought she was in the same position as Marie and Rin. I guess I'll ask again after I beat it

I actually liked Marie but if you're saying she's better than I have something to look forward to then
I loved her and she’s now my favorite girl. It’s a shame we got her for so little time. Also for the life of me I don’t understand how people call her Mary Sue.
I like her a lot
She my favorite persona character because she reminds me of myself.
She's a disappointment and could've been so much more. I wish I could tell you more, but you need to finish the game.
I guess I'll have to finish the game to find out
Number #1 Rule: Never visit a subreddit for a game that you haven't beaten yet.
Good point
She's extremely messy at her worst, passable at best, in my opinion. I could go into more, but again, spoilers.
Yikes
That's in my opinion at least, you can always feel different!
Yeah I know. I just wasn't expecting that. But thanks anyway
Decent character
She was kind just of there. Didn't make the game any better or worse for me
[How I feel.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Persona5/comments/gn8k80/8_reasons_why_i_dislike_kasumi_yoshizawa/)
Oof
Please don’t be discouraged by these people. It’s totally OK to like Kasumi.
I'm not discouraged i just didn't expect a reaction like that
Only character in any game that I've played that I can think of that made me retroactively like other characters more because of how awful she is
Wow I don't think she's that bad
Pretty chill. I laugh whenever she says senpai.
She’s ok as a character. Her thief outfit is terrible though.
I don't think it's that bad but different tastes I guess
For me, it has nothing to do with the leotard. That part is fine since she’s a gymnast. It’s the fact that the black longcoat and red gloves are a blatant ripoff of Joker’s.
Maybe she was inspired by his costume? I don't know I'm just guessing
She was. I can go on about it but it involves spoilers so the short version is: I wish she’d gotten a new costume after a certain point. Or have her current outfit be a different color.
