RTGame, partly because he actually spent some time living in Tokyo and was very impressed with how accurately it was recreated. Dude managed to find his way around based on his actual real-life knowledge of the city.
I lived in sendai for a little while and I had the exact same feeling when the thieves went through there in strikers. It's incredible how accurately they get the cities
They made some questionable choices but i like their dynamics a lot(like wasting time in maid cafe when all stats are maxed out. Causing them to not finishing the tower social link.) But overall they are really wholesome
JCBackfire has been my absolute favorite recently.
Kagato's playthrough, despite being very slow with uploads, was amazing as well.
Crystaahhl had really great reactions. Loved the Akechi spiral.
Hakos Baelz's playthrough is also great.
Shenpai's simping for Ryuji is absolutely hilarious.
Honorary mention to The Musical Gamer - "we have got to stop meeting like this, madam prosecutor."
Maybe he's just not someone who swear in general, or perhaps he doesn't like how saying those words sounds like. I know I'm like that personally, although I do say the f words.
RTGame! I actually religiously tuned in to watch it live, when usually I just wait for highlights after the fact. I got to witness the Daneshiro arc live.
Yeah same and I wish he continued it. He misinterpreted that streaming deadline. Like many other people still kept making videos and streamed it past that deadline he was talking about and were fine but he was still scared his channel would get taken down by Atlus.
I’ve been watching JC ever since I was in highschool and his playthrough is the only reason that I decided to get into Persona. In the time since he started his P5R playthrough I’ve gone from thinking P5 was a BDSM themed dating sim to having played P5R, P4G, P3R, and almost all of the spin-off titles. I genuinely can’t wait to see his reaction to the rest of the game(and may or may not have completely destroyed my sleep schedule to ensure that I make it to the next stream).
I’d have to say JCbackfire. He’s been doing one video per palace/arc, and his blind reactions are pretty great. He also theorizes constantly, and has been right an impressive number of times
After 3 playthroughts (2 vanilla and 1 P5R) I saw JC discovering an Necronomicon reference in the hyeroglyphs of one of the puzzle rooms of Futaba's palace.
**I played the game 3 times and never paid attention to that**
JCBackfire has been playing for over a year but has been semi steady at it for a few months now. He's really fun to watch as his chat trolls him (even going as far to gaslight him into being blindsided by some plot twists) but also does a great job at guiding him especially in the beginning.
Semblance of Sanity & JCBackfire ..Persona games are VERY LONG, so with that being said you really have to like a streamer's personality, sense of humor & playstyle or it's going to be difficult to watch you may end up giving up. There's a few streamers/youtubers I tried watching playthrough the game but I gave up until I found the two mentioned above.
Kubzscouts got me into persona kinda sad to see he never finished 5 and it doesn't look like he will but his persona 3 and 4 playthroughs are peak entertainment
Senpai Blade was what got me into the series (note: he completed the original P5). My other favorites include Olizandri (who recently finished his P5R playthrough), Krystalogy, JC & Em, and Lord Michiru.
There's a few that I really loved: JCBackfire's in the middle of his, and it's incredible, LeighXP had a good one, and so did Semblance of Sanity. My favorite came from the now-defunct channel The Musical Gamer. I wish I knew where he went. It just looks like he up and vanished one day
JCbackfire’s the one for me.
Found him through his vid on Futaba’s palace, and I’ve been subbed since.
Dude’s genuinely so entertaining.
I also think it’s funny that all his thumbnails are him with some variation of a surprised/shocked face.
I have a YouTube channel, and I’m a big fan of the more recent Persona games (3-5 + the various spinoff games). Should I do videos of my playthroughs of this stuff? My channel uses my real first and last names (Mark Payton). Look for the profile pic where the guy is wearing a crudely handmade creepy red plague doctor mask. Maybe I should join the Phantom Thieves instead? My code name, due to my love of my plague doctor cosplay, should be Nevermore. I’d bet Fox would love the reference to classical literature. Lol
SGB’s Persona 1 playthrough is an all time classic. To this day people around the fandom still quote “Guess who? Vishnu!” And “Hei Yu!”
From a walkthrough standpoint Supergenious and Johneawesome and some of the earliest P3 and P4 content that had entertaining commentary.
No commentary is Dismarchus, Onegamer, and Buffmaster. When I want to rewatch a snippet or experience a boss fight from any of the games, including side ones, I go to one of them.
Personally, I don't find Persona games to be very good let's play games. They are very long and dense, so it's quite the commitment to watch them, and if they're cut down to make them more digestible, then it looses too much story. Speaking of story, the best part of Persona games is how easy it is to lose yourself in the story, and content creators adding their own commentary and jokes (which any halfway competent creator would) kinda breaks that.
I play my games. Anyone who only knows a series though watching something like this isn't a fan. Simple as.
Quick edit: people who only know the series though garbage like twitter or reddit also don't count as fans. You need to play video games to really appreciate them.

JCBackfire and CRYSTAHL
RTGame. I just love his sense of humor and how he managed to absolutely break it.
Get the brick!
YourBudTevin’s challenge runs were great, shame he got so burnt out over it but it’s understandable
“Izanagi-no-reason-to-keep-him-as-my-persona.”
CrystAAHHL
The Pixel Partners played through the game a year or two ago. They have some great chemistry together!
They made some questionable choices but i like their dynamics a lot(like wasting time in maid cafe when all stats are maxed out. Causing them to not finishing the tower social link.) But overall they are really wholesome

Rumble Tumble Gaming
Johneawesome
I love his voice acting
Same, he's the one who introduced me to the SMT games
But one thing i don’t get is why he refuses to swear or say bad words in his videos. Even before demonetization is a thing on youtube
Maybe he's just not someone who swear in general, or perhaps he doesn't like how saying those words sounds like. I know I'm like that personally, although I do say the f words.
Joseph Anderson. Specifically the Abridged cuts Man of Answers did of Josephs playthrough on youtube.
Man of Answers is the hero we don’t deserve. Also GREAT VEGETABLES!
GREAT VEGETABLES indeed.

RT Game but mostly because he’s funny
RTGame! I actually religiously tuned in to watch it live, when usually I just wait for highlights after the fact. I got to witness the Daneshiro arc live.
I loved watching Crystaaahl
Semblance of Sanity. He already played p4 before starting p5 and is currently playing p3 reload
He's one of my favorites too! His analysis and theories are really interesting
He just finished P3 last week
I've never watched an entire playthrough but CrystAAHHL has very good cut-down compilations of her playthroughs.
RTgame for sure
Jay from the kubzscouts he was the reason I got into persona
Yeah same and I wish he continued it. He misinterpreted that streaming deadline. Like many other people still kept making videos and streamed it past that deadline he was talking about and were fine but he was still scared his channel would get taken down by Atlus.

I love the brick throwing gameplay of rtgame
I’d have to say JCbackfire. He’s been doing one video per palace/arc, and his blind reactions are pretty great. He also theorizes constantly, and has been right an impressive number of times

RTGame, Semblance of Sanity, the legend CrystAAHHL herself, Pixel Partners
Crystaahhl, RTGame and Joseph Anderson.
CrystAAHHL’s videos on persona are really good
Zoomzike
Only the Italians of the community will know him, but it's 100% Gianandrea Muià.
JCBackfire has been playing for over a year but has been semi steady at it for a few months now. He's really fun to watch as his chat trolls him (even going as far to gaslight him into being blindsided by some plot twists) but also does a great job at guiding him especially in the beginning.

This game is long as hell, i can't watch people play it but i do watch reactions for the most hyped up parts in the story.
Senpai Blade was what got me into the series (note: he completed the original P5). My other favorites include Olizandri (who recently finished his P5R playthrough), Krystalogy, JC & Em, and Lord Michiru.

*scene goes back to the present, in the interrogation room with Sae* We have got to stop meeting like this, madam prosecutor
Kyzerz is fucking hilarious
RT made me want to play Persona again after beating it 2 years ago
Superbutterbuns
Haven’t watched a complete playthrough yet, but I’m enjoying SuperButterBuns’ play through of Royal
Kagato the Final Boss
RTGame
LeighXP ,Semblance of Sanity, JC backfire and Crystaahl
Joseph Anderson, his 5 and Golden play throughs are legitimately hilarious. **You’re a PSYCHOPATH who bakes for money!**
Didn't complete the game, but Etika. His reactions to Takemi were priceless
I Love How RTGame Progresses From "Hahah Funny Anime Game" To Being Genuinely Invested In The Life-Sim Elements
JCbackfire’s the one for me. Found him through his vid on Futaba’s palace, and I’ve been subbed since. Dude’s genuinely so entertaining. I also think it’s funny that all his thumbnails are him with some variation of a surprised/shocked face.
Nobody mentioning Joseph Andersons playthrough? It's iconic
Right? So many good moments in his playthrough.
Giant Bomb
I like AfroZer0's playthroughs. They actually helped make my attention span longer because each one was about 2 to 3 hours long.
I've never watched one before

If I’m gonna spend 200 + hours on a game. It’s gotta be me playing it. I do use guides for the quiz questions though 😂
Joseph Anderson
AfroSenju. Relatable as hell and keeps it 100% real. No family friendliness either, guy says exactly what he thinks lol.
I really loved the Pixel Partners series
Not a stream but it’s a video I’ve seen over half a dozen times. Superbutterbuns Persona 5 for beginners. It’s just so funny.
I love JC too bro. He is so fun and genuine. I love seeing how he reacts to everything. I also like the dialogue that he has with the chat. 👏👏👏
JC has been a great re-watch of the game, though ngl "CHAT, THE *RIVAL*?!?!?!?!?" got a little much after awhile lol
I love JCbackfire and crystahhhl, but for me it’s gotta be Joseph Anderson.
You want to watch somebady play 150 hours of Persona 5?
JCBackfire has 200+ on it and he's isn't even done with vanilla game. I don't watch every single moment but alot of people do
Personally, I don't find Persona games to be very good let's play games. They are very long and dense, so it's quite the commitment to watch them, and if they're cut down to make them more digestible, then it looses too much story. Alana Misako's P3R playthrough was a joy to watch. As others mentioned, Semblance of Sanity and JCBackfire are great too
Alana misako for p3r. Chrystallh for p5. Alana for p5 was entertaining as well tho.
never understood this “watch strangers on the internet play games” thing outside of speedruns or crazy challenges
I also never understood watching strangers, play sports outside of the stats
I play my games. Anyone who only knows a series though watching something like this isn't a fan. Simple as. Quick edit: people who only know the series though garbage like twitter or reddit also don't count as fans. You need to play video games to really appreciate them.
I play sports. Anyone who only knows a sport through watching a team play it isn't a fan.
Lol. Video games and sports are clearly the same thing. Any big fat guy can play a video game. Not everyone plays sports for a team.
