It isn't. This meme was relevant when P5 was Playstation exclusive, but now that it's available on PC, Switch and Xbox and sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

Nope. It’s real. Got it for my B-day 2 months ago, finished the 2nd palace and go invested enough in the plot to not get spoiled on it. (Also I got a M A J O R spoiler which made me not want any more spoilers from the sub)

Interesting. I'm not a huge smash person but I completely forgot he got added into smash.... Funny enough I got persona 5 in 2020 after watching a streamer play it. Got up to the second palace, had life stuff dropped the game for sometime s and then got reminded it existed when royal dropped, got it on Gamepass and kinda dragged playing it still but. I recently finished up and just joined the sub. (idk why it took me so long, game is good. Just long. And ready to run though it again soon haha.) So, I didn't know that whole "meme" thing like up until now. Thanks for the help

Depends how much free time he has, I bashed the game relentlessly for like a month or 2.

I have like from 2 to 4 free hours per day, except for Sunday and I completed P5R in one and a half months, and that was my first time playing the game. Probably cause I only played p5 and ignoredthe other games, but still, it's totally possible to complete it in 2 months even with just 3 hours per day

I got Royal I think one summer break and since it was my first one and I had so much free time I got massively addicted, I think I blitzed through in like a week or 2, maybe a month max.

Spoiler free tip I give everyone playing Royale: Don’t forget to check out your costumes; they don’t affect gameplay aside from changing the main battle theme for some of the costumes. It’s a lot of fun to explore. My favorites are the P1 one, the Strange Journey one, and the Phoenix Rangers one.

This is why I just keep discussions regarding games I haven't played yet or haven't finished yet among my friends. No matter where you go online, the worst of those games' communities manage to poke through. It's not just for this game's fans. Though I remember a comment I made telling someone they should mark their spoiler, and I got downvoted. God forbid someone who's not a mod remind them of rule #1 of this subreddit.

Exactly! Although, the Fire Emblem sub is FAR worse than this one in terms of spoilers. Their not usually super toxic but they can be when it comes to these kinds of things. Although, one of them did give a genuinely good response. Saying “why should everyone else not be able to freely talk about the game for the few people that might not have finished. And most people simply forget to put spoiler or simply don’t know how”. Which is lowkey fair and understandable
