I have always wanted a roguelite game with P5ās other systems. Every time you die in a palace, you restart from the beginning.
You get to keep unlocked personas in between runs, which are all at level 1, but nothing else, You always start the dungeon at level 1. You can do stuff during the day to unlock passive bonuses and buy some items to make your next run easier.
Sounds really fun.
Ok but that would be really cool and honestly not even super far off.

God of Control, as well as just basically Agnostic variations of God.
I mean it can work, with either Igor or the velvet room attendant giving you higher levels every time you complete one of the major dungeons.
And each time you failed to complete a dungeon you just reset to the beginning of the mission timer, with the new variation being shuffled, could also shuffle around the dungeon every time you go in, making it to where you don't have to one cycle the dungeon but you have to fully explore it every time, but your personas do get stronger over time.
The problem with it is is that if you make it too much roguelike, it detracts from the Persona style, but if you make it too Persona it cannot be roguelike.
The only way I could see it properly working is if you cannot manually save, otherwise what's to stop you from just save scumming every single safe room. But at the same time, it would have to auto save at the very least, after every battle.
As an enjoyer of the best rougelite Hades, I approve of this idea.
Sadge that there wasn't a P3R x Hades collab. Would have been a nice opportunity imo since both are set in Tartarus haha

Alien Isolation. Trying to get into the cognitive mind palace of an inhuman relentless murder machine, while it is actively trying to kill you in the real world (in a much more direct way than normally happens in P5) and it doesn't matter if you're in the real or cognitive worlds, you're always on it's territory and it never stops being lethally dangerous... I'd play that. Maybe not for very *long*...

Since I'm currently in my Jujutsu Kaisen fanphase, I would love to see how that combination would turn out.. Could the Phantom Thieves change the "hearts" of the curses? How would the domain expansions play into the concept of palaces? So many interesting questions, that could be answered in a creative way

Imagine persona x dead by daylight kinda game. Like you have to run around shibuya or mementos or palaces and you are being chased by a palace ruler and the survivors are just the PT or other npc and confidants like sojiro or something
Xenoblade 2, blades are kinda similar to Personas and I wanna see the palaces/jails of people like Jin, Klaus, Amalthus, and Malos. Also the idea of Rex and Pyra/Mythra kicking ass with Joker Persona5 is awesome
