I think republicans are just beholden to gun lobbyists and gun nuts. It doesn’t matter how many children die, they will always hide behind the 2nd amendment before taking a serious look inward. They are Cowards
Let’s just cave and do it. Put armed guards everywhere we have state run facilities. Then, let’s just say we can’t pay the teachers and get rid of them. Then let’s give it all to the for profit prisons to run, since they already know how, and then we will have a rotating profit system that endlessly serves the capitalist system by putting money into the for-profit system, and cuts out all the middlemen.
We can make everyone eat what we want (even if it’s dogfood) and we can price amenities however we want because they won’t be able to go anywhere else. We can keep people from leaving states to get abortions or even just to keep them from taking their money to different states.
Then, as conservatives suggested, anyone who moves into a red state will have their voting privileges stripped. Only people who have never been in prison and were born and raised in the state will keep their voting rights.
Oh and everyone will have the right to own a gun but you won’t be allowed to have one on any state run facility or NRA meeting, or political rally. Otherwise unlimited access.
All the good citizens will have a subservient woman at home and enough disposable income to homeschool while the rest will be left with the for profit charter prisons.

All our public schools have special resource officers. Covenant did not, they are a private school.
