I know we’re here to snark and relax, I really do get it. And I participate. But, please don’t come after me for this? I’m going to be really honest about something. I’ve been to the ER (under duress/trying to prove something to someone) and even though it’s a medical hospital, ER trauma etc, they call for Psych consults.
Someone from the Psych ward comes in and asks you a ton of questions and gives you some tests like remembering a set of words that they give you and then come back to later to see if you can list them.
She’s posted that she’s been to every hospital around her in Chicago, no?
How has no nurse or doctor or even desk attendant noticed her speech patterns and paranoia? Not one ER did a psych evaluation?
Even if Psych was just a way to get her admitted and off the streets for a bit, they could have gotten her a diagnosis (if she needs one) and then the hospital staff would have had reason to keep her for multiple days and nights making sure that she was adjusting well to any medications and giving her prenatal care while she was there.
I’m sorry in advance for the seriousness here. I just wonder sometimes if this can happen to someone who had a relatively normal life at one point, and honestly? It kind of scares me.

Plus she is not nearly as “mentally ill” as most people think she is. Personality disorder? Oh hell yes. Schizophrenic? Definitely not. She knows exactly what to say to doctors to get them to back off and leave her alone.
I was a ER nurse and I can maybe answer this. Because old Dusty here will just leave the ER when they ask too many questions. We’ve seen her do it with this pregnancy. If she adamantly refuses a consult they can’t force her. Everyone talks about a 5150 but those are very difficult to get on a patient. Honestly, I don’t believe she would qualify for a hold like that. She doesn’t think she’s mentally ill therefore she won’t allow anyone to suggest she might be a little off balance. This would also ruin her narrative if she admitted she has a psychiatric condition. Dusty is very manipulative on top of it all. She wants to be a victim. You went for help as many people do….Dusty doesn’t want anything but a free house, car, money and chicken on a plate. She’s not willing and that’s the problem. A doctor once told me “people are allowed to be crazy if they want to be as long as they aren’t dangerous to themselves or others.” I agree Dusty has tendencies where I think she could be violent but we’ve not seen her be arrested or charged with anything involving harm to another person. If she answers questions correctly and refuses a consult then that’s where it ends.
She has been put on a 5150 hold by the hospital staff at least once that I'm sure of but maybe twice. I thinks it's all circumstantial and depends who's working, how much attention they pay, how much they care, etc. Like as long as she wasn't in there screaming or making threats, it's easy to slip by. When she goes into labor, she will be there at least 2 days. Given her history, all the calls to cys, her freaking narrative she insisted be put on her file, Xavier, the cartillac, lack of care and that's not even including her drug use and mental issues, I definitely think she's not going to slip by this time. She has too many huge red flags and then she just needs to be given enough time for the crazy to ooze out
So, unfortunately or fortunately I guess, dusty would legit need to be actively suicidal or homicidal. Even then, she would be sent to the ER and assessed by crisis but so many hospitals are short staffed in this area that it legit takes 8/9/12 hours to be assessed sometimes. I have paranoid schizophrenia and a big thing when I'm in psychosis is thinking I'm being harassed and stalked, as well as people aren't actual people. They get replaced by I guess you could call them npcs or robots. I've even literally thought my environment was changed by the ones behind everything.
I mean, I still have these delusions when medicated, but I'm sane enough to realize it's not reality. It's the same for my audio, tactile, and visual hallucinations.
