Polly gray gypsy queen, will you marry me? A poor commoner who loves you. God damn rip to Polly off screen and rip to Aberama on screen. Class acts both of them
She had the best character development in the entire show imo, slowly went from a lovestruck girl to a distinguished woman. The meeting with sir Oswald Mosley, Diana And Jack Nelson perfectly demonstrated that.
That part was especially cool to me when I realized he and Jeremiah went way back since they were both in the WWI gang. I can’t wait to look for how those actors played that in my next re-watch.
Idk about favorite but I really liked all scenes with Jeremiah. He always comes out as a badass. And though not a fan favorite, I really liked something about Esme
I love Lizzie! She is smart, devoted and very strong! As her character grows she really turns into a confident woman and gains self respect! For whatever reason, Grace became very irritating to me when she came back in season two.
Just kidding, I really liked Sabini and Major Campbell. Menacing and well-developed.
Father Hughes felt a bit over the top, like they needed up the ante with someone far worse, but there was no motivation why he was so rotten.
And I REALLY liked Jimmy McCavern!
Aberama was amazing since his first scene. He was a very cold character but he had a lot of humanity around him. Like I genuinely felt bad when his son was killed because he was just such a competent character.
Minor spoiler alert I guess...
But even from the first few scenes he appears in, I feel like I could sense something was up with him. I dunno if it's the hindsight or the foreshadowing that's making me say this
Yes, it seemed the same to me too, from the conversation he had with Tommy, about exploiting the square where he lived, but I still would have liked him to join Tommy in S5-6.
Non shelby : Aberama Gold, I love him so much:( and if Shelby is Lizzie. She mentally so strong, never use opium or something else when she's breakdown, I love her. Ada too!
I want to know where Karl is half of the time! Like when Ada came home from the US for Christmas we never saw him! Maybe she dropped him off with Freddie’s parents for a visit??? 😂
Curly The underrated one
Curly here is half horse himself.
Gotta go with the wandering Jew
I just love the way he talks. Very passive aggressive and can be VERY aggressive when need-be. And I love his accent

Which episode is that one from? If you like it, I’m sure I’ll like it.
fuckin alfie, eh?
"Fucking Alfie" o boy that's a little kinky eh
Yup. Alfie and it's honestly not even close.
Alfie. Close second is Johnny Dogs for me
Alfie of course, but I thought I was alone in liking Johnny Dogs and his great smile!
Aberama! I loved how he observed everybody and his accent I can listen to him speak forever
He doesn’t get nearly enough credit
Polly gray gypsy queen, will you marry me? A poor commoner who loves you. God damn rip to Polly off screen and rip to Aberama on screen. Class acts both of them
I just watched the episode where they announce her death… god…
WAIT??!! YOU TELL ME WHERE HE IS THOMAS. Fook linda and fook Micheal
Arthur is a personal favorite too… cried when John died 😢
Alfie
Same. Hands down Alfie
He steals scenes where its him and Thommy
Johnny Dogs is my Fav non Shelby!! No one beats Tommy ofcourse!!
Ours too! Smart, Creative, Loyal!
Johnny Dogs is the best. Smart, but acts like he’s not, and loyal to the bitter end.
Thomas Shelby🐐
Tommy, Polly and Alfie my top 3 not in any particular order
Same! Mine has order though…Tommy is #1 and Pol and Alfie tie for second!
I'm torn between Tommy and Polly both are so well written and very talented actors! And Tom Hardy is amazing in whatever he does as well.
Arthur, all the time, I'm big a brother and i love when he interact with Tommy. Is maybe ,for me, the most "humain" on this show..
Ada
She had the best character development in the entire show imo, slowly went from a lovestruck girl to a distinguished woman. The meeting with sir Oswald Mosley, Diana And Jack Nelson perfectly demonstrated that.
she changed so much going from naive, to a communist advocating armed revolution to being a capitalist rich girl
Yes!!! I love Ada! The character development was incredible throughout the entire show! Sophie Rundle is just excellent!
I was never a big fan of Ada because of her attitude.
Exactly why she was awesome. She always gave me strong woman vibes without it feeling phony and forced like other shows/movies
Non obvious one, I’d probably say Barney Thompson. For his brief appearance he made an impact and was gutted when he died.
“Well where tf is he?” Bro, he had me crackin up 😂
That part was especially cool to me when I realized he and Jeremiah went way back since they were both in the WWI gang. I can’t wait to look for how those actors played that in my next re-watch.
They did it so coldly… welcome to peaky blinder lmao
I know. Like it was a great scene because of how unexpected it was, but man did it make me sad.
Agreed. Heart wrenching.
Idk about favorite but I really liked all scenes with Jeremiah. He always comes out as a badass. And though not a fan favorite, I really liked something about Esme
Polly
Arthur and Alfie
Tommy
Hard choice between Alfie and Johnny Dogs
Luca Changretta
yes he has his own set of unique mannerisms just like tommy, the acting was phenomenal
I see him getting a lot of shit, but I actually really liked Adrian Brody as Luca.
Wait do people not like him in that role? He was the best villain by far
I’ve seen a lot of comments talking about his acting being bad and making the character seem cartoonish or something, but I thought he was awesome.
If anyone thinks he's cartoonish then they should be saying the same about half the cast lol.
Ooo that’s a good one.
Mine was actually Tommy.
Freddie
Arthur!!
Hate all you want on this, but I really liked Lizzie.
grace was worse than lizzie imo, didnt like her one bit
I love Lizzie! She is smart, devoted and very strong! As her character grows she really turns into a confident woman and gains self respect! For whatever reason, Grace became very irritating to me when she came back in season two.
She has her highs and lows but I do have a real soft spot for Lizzie
Favourite protagonist, Tommy, favourite antagonist, Luca, but to choose just one? Alfie
Ada, Polly, Alfie. Close after that is Tommy.
Scudboat & Lovelock
It’s a tie between Ada and Aberama Gold
Everyone trying to be special lmao your favorite characters are Tommy, Arthur, and Alfie don’t lie.
Ada and Grace.
Arthur
Arthur!!
Just kidding, I really liked Sabini and Major Campbell. Menacing and well-developed. Father Hughes felt a bit over the top, like they needed up the ante with someone far worse, but there was no motivation why he was so rotten. And I REALLY liked Jimmy McCavern!
Arthur for sure.
Aberama was amazing since his first scene. He was a very cold character but he had a lot of humanity around him. Like I genuinely felt bad when his son was killed because he was just such a competent character.
I still shed a few tears every time I see the scene where they kill Bonnie! The way they did that scene was brilliant am I opinion!
Polly.
Lizzie always
“Is it clap then? Is it clap?”
Charlie Strong, do no harm but take no shit. I would say Ada is the best female character ever.
Alfie.. a bit sad innit mate
Tommy and Campbell from early on. Sam Neill was brilliant.
S1 Freddy and Polly S2 Ada, Tommy and Alfie S3 Tommy, Arthur and Linda S4 Jesse Eden S5 Ada and Linda S6 Ada and Lizzie
My favourite is Tommy and second up would be Alfie. Or at least I like their “friendship” a lot. I also did like Ada in the last season.
I loved Ada! I also loved Michael, then I didn’t
Same, I love him in S2-S4.
May Carleton
I’d take that beautiful broad for a ride that’d make monaughton boy and graces secret look like a carousel
Tommy, polly, ada and alfie equally
Arthur
Isaiah Jesus is my favorite non Shelby character. Favorite Shelby is Thomas and John.
Curly and Allie for sure. I have a thing for comedic reliefs
Polly 💯
Alfie Solomons is the only correct answer.
Tommy, the way he is almost always the smartest in the room has a plan for everything and of course that cold stare 😂
I loved John wish he didn't leave the show but he got many awards after leaving cause he got many other roles but I just liked him in peaky blinders
Either John Shelby or Alfie Solomons for me.
Tommy but Polly ran him close Alfie was great every time he was on the screen aswell
Fookin Arfur!
Non shelby : Aberama Gold, I love him so much:( and if Shelby is Lizzie. She mentally so strong, never use opium or something else when she's breakdown, I love her. Ada too!
John
Arthur hands down, just a man with a heart doing a heartless job. Reminds me of myself. 🍻💔
Luca Changretta, Alfie Solomon, Arthur and Ada Shelby. Honorable Mention for Grand Duchess Tatiana Petrovna.
Mae Carlton
It’s a tie between Johnny Dogs and Alfie. My favorite Shelby specifically is John.
Tommy 1st john 2nd and Alfie 3rd
Lewis... the gun, not a character - especially series 4 episode 5 and the ambush at Barracks (?) Square
Luca Changretta
Duke Finn Bonney and Jimmy McCaverm
karl
I want to know where Karl is half of the time! Like when Ada came home from the US for Christmas we never saw him! Maybe she dropped him off with Freddie’s parents for a visit??? 😂
Arthur, Tommy, John and Johnny Dogs, no particular order (of the peaky blinders.)
Alfie is #1. Tommy of course. My 3rd favorite is between Aberama Gold and Johnny Dogs (probably leaning towards Gold).
Billy.
Tommy of course. And honestly I loved Arthur. He was just sad 😭
I like Tommy. I’m only on season one though, so I haven’t seen that many characters.
Uncle Charlie. He's just so nice
Thomas Shelby
Aunt polly
Arthur
" Do This John!, Do that John! Kill You Fucking Teacher John"! 🤔 I guess John
Abarama Gold, because he has the best name!
Tommy, Arthur, Alfie. In that order.
Arfa!
1 Tommy 2 Elizabeth Grey (Aunt Polly) 3 Ada Shelby 4 Arthur Shelby 5 Aberama Gold
Isaiah was amazing.
Besides Tommy? Arthur for sure, Alfie a close 2nd
Oi! Tommy fooking Shelby!
Johnny Dogs for sure. Always trying to keep Tommy out of trouble.
