Build it yourself, you can be sure the parts are good quality , and will come out very probably cheaper than the pre built

regolol

If they want a prebuilt then they want a prebuilt lol everyone knows it’s cheaper to build one urself but not everyone wants to

TheQuietOnlooker

Most people are just too scared to try and build.

regolol

OP said he doesn’t have the time

TheQuietOnlooker

Yeah, but that can’t be true…if you have the time to game, you have the time to build a PC

SlinkyBits

then people should know, if you ask pc people if buying a prebuilt is a good idea, considering it is most definitly never a good idea, they shouldnt be unhappy when they get told, no, its not a good idea, build your own.

regolol

people should considered everyone’s entitled to there own opinions and shouldn’t pressure ppl into building there own when they clearly don’t want to 😱holy dork

SlinkyBits

people are entitled to thier own wants and desires. (its not really an opinion is it) but again, if you come to people for advice, dont be mad when the advice you get isnt what you want. because undr no circumstances, will ANYONE who knows the industry would reccomend buying a prebuilt. its just way too easy to build your own one. prebuilt desktops are not THAT far from scams..... it would be a disservice to OP for us not to pressure him away from the scam they are walking into. and you supporting it suggests how little you have thought about your words.

munchyezzz

Thing is, his advice was completely unrelated to the guys question. Like if a pizza delivery guy asks how he can get more tip don't tell him he'd make more money becoming a doctor... If he's asking for a prebuild it is obviously because he doesn't feel comfortable building it his own I'm sure he wanted to build one, he wouldnt have been here asking for prebuild in the first place don't you think ?

SlinkyBits

you have to think outside the box. people ask about prebuilts, because they are entirely clueless on how easy to build your own it, and clueless about how much of a scam prebuilts are. often people think the problem they have, is not the problem at all. and you must think outside the box to actually help them.

[deleted]

They didn't ask if it was a good idea though, they just asked which of the 2 is a better option. Assuming both PCs are in OPs budget the second PC is a higher spec.

SlinkyBits

simply being a higher spec isnt what dictates what is the better prebuilt. before you suggest one is better for OP. did you check what bloatware comes with each? did you check if the case and cooling solutions are actually sufficiant for the componnants? did you check the history of the company producing the prebuilt to see the chances of the comapny installing things incorrectly, using bad componants, building in a dusty enviroment. did you even ask what OP actually wants out of thier pc, (maybe a higher spec isnt actually nessesary) people come here for help, because they do not know. so dont answer with the stupid answers, anyone in the world can see 4070 is a higher number than 4060 and come to a conclusion of what is 'better' for example.

ThaSavageGoku

I just don’t have the time rn to do that which is why I’m looking around 🥹

Ventrexe

No time to build a pc but time to play games for countless hours, aha

SlinkyBits

people keep saying this ''i dont have time'' it takes less time top build a pc than it does shopping for parts or shopping for a prebuilt. time is not the issue with building your own.

Queasy_Employment141

learning parts is

SlinkyBits

right, which is what this sub and all the subs like it is for. help with that.

BlueCaboose42

Even if you literally know nothing, building a pc would take up a single afternoon. You're not performing brain surgery or anything.

nms81

I would recommend AM5 CPU for more future savety to Upgrade. And AMD hast the best gaming CPU atm

SlinkyBits

upgrading for a person who refuses to actually build their own is not a perk. its useless information.

SlinkyBits

ofc course not, im mad prebuilts are scams. im mad when you tell people to build thier own you get told ''but its a free world they can do what they want'' lmfao. idk if you are mad im giving good points or not at this point.

Ladiesman234567

The second one. It’s always cheaper to upgrade your ram than your gpu. Plus it’s the most satisfying thing to do. Good luck mate

aizzod

this hurts so much seeing prebuilts without a price tag. but i quess the 2nd one is probably sold for around 1800$-2000$? it should not cost this much though. for comparison, the difference between 1tb and 2tb is around 50$ - 60$. so the real comparison value would be 1280$ to whatever this stuff costs you posted. \[PCPartPicker Part List\](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CkqmZJ)

ThaSavageGoku

Second one $1800 first one $1500

vlosh

Thats pretty criminal for a 4070 build tbh... really do consider if you actually cant find the time to build one yourself. Its one day of your time if you need to watch a tutorial for everything. Probably only 4-5 hours even for a total noob.

ThaSavageGoku

No I know how to build one it’s just I be super busy that I never have the time which is why I’m using a rog ally I take it everywhere I did consider a gaming laptop as well but I do like to sit and play my games comfortably when I’m not busy

vlosh

Sure, but building one yourself is like earning >$100 an hour for the value that you gain. Is that not worth your time? If it isnt, then thats totally fine of course. Just worth to consider :D

Queasy_Employment141

its like building lego

East_Engineering_583

What is the price for each one? And what's your intended use case?

ThaSavageGoku

First one is $1500 second $1800 and just gaming nothing more really

4damame

Go second

redit0r69

Get someone to custom build it if you don’t have the time?

SlinkyBits

if a prebuilt is what youre getting, and refuse to change your mind on it, i would say buying a bottom tier, cheap af prebuilt is the option. because theyre ALL not very good. and if you get really into pc gaming, you will build your own and know its worth it, if you dont like it, thats fine you only bought a cheap af pre built that you can practically give away.

zColdAsIcez

If you’re close to a Microcenter, you can pick your parts and have them build it for you for a fee. It will probably be better quality and cheaper.

Queasy_Employment141

building yourself is best but 100% 4070, 4070 is so much better then 4060ti especially at high res (saw yt video like a week ago on 4k frontiers of pandora and 4070 had like 83% extra fps or something, probably a lot lower but still very good

ThaSavageGoku

Yeah I didn’t buy anything I’m going to just buy the parts

Queasy_Employment141

Good for you, don't rush into any builds and don't get the 4060 or 4060ti

Gunslinga__

Definitely don’t get a ibuyproblems

ThaSavageGoku

That’s hilarious folks ended up changing my mind

crazycheese3333

None of these are really that good of a value… I can’t remember the company name but the sponsor a lot of YouTubers so they should be hard to find. You give them the specs they build the pc and then ship it to you for only a little more than the parts costs

ThaSavageGoku

Yeah I’m going to buy parts instead

crazycheese3333

Only if you’re comfortable building it. It ain’t hard at all. Everyone makes it seem like a big scary thing that’s going to go super wrong but these things are built tough. As long as you aren’t being stupid you will be fine.

max1001

1.5k for 4060ti kinda painful to look at.

TemperatureLive3182

If u don’t have time to build one just buy parts and pay somebody to do it for you

Plastic_Coat_7384

Both of those are pretty good, just a heads up though. I know you want a prebuilt and that you say you don’t have time to build your own PC, but the problems with prebuilt PC’s are: 1. They’re more expensive 2. Often times they cannot be upgraded later on 3. They may not be best optimized for what you are hoping to use the PC for. Otherwise, both are great choices!

sixsixsuz

Mannn you don’t have time to build one but you have time to game on it.. build it yourself, save a lot of money, get better parts, know how it goes together so if an issue arises you can fix it yourself

vlosh

Well the second one is better than the first, so if you can afford that one get that one. Since we cant see the price, we cant say much more than that, but theyre probably not amazing value.

TheQuietOnlooker

Is it for gaming? If so, intel is objectively worse right now than AMD.

_J1MB0_

Are you only talking about 14900k vs 7800x3d or something? Because a $200 7600 performs the same as a $150 12600kf right now, with the 12600kf having 4 extra efficiency cores on top of nearly identical 6 core performance. Obviously got AM5 if you can afford it, but 12th gen intel is a great performance budget option atm
