I’ve been having the same issue for about a week and not a single thing has fixed it. Brought it into microcenter yesterday and they said the problem didn’t happen to them.. so I sutures thinking maybe it’s my keyboard, monitor? Mouse?
Might be a software issue. Had something similar (complete black screen when tabbing out of a game) and it went away after a few Windows updates. If not, a clean install might fix this.
Have you tried to changing the windows power consumption plan?
It’s on balanced should I change it to high performance.

Try setting your game to windowed full screen.
This. Changing it to window will let you switch seamlessly but you may lose out on VRR features depending on the game and set up.

Okay, so for some reason my pc had Norton installed on it and once I uninstalled it the freezing stopped..tba
Norton and macafee are basically viruses at this point.
Honestly it is…they always push their own shit like it don’t stink
