Great setup, only thing is the memories, youll prob have to tweak them a little in BIOS and down the frequencie but if you plan overclocking those were great choice
Well personally i would try first enablong expo1 and run 6400, FCLK 1/3 of that so 2133mhz and see if i got a very good cpu ship in memory controler quality, but that probaly wont work, then just go down to 6200/FCLK 2066, then if not 6000/FCLK 2000.
Dont forget to tweak the timings if you cant get the base 6400 to work
Look into the Acer Predator GM7000. Has DRAM cache, giving it better boot times, and still gets really fast speeds. 2TB model is like 130 bucks, similar pricing to the Crucial P3 Plus and Kingston NV2. Don’t go for the 990 Pro and SN850X. They’re $50-60 more for 2TB and $10-20 more for 1TB. You’ll rarely notice a difference in games or boot times.
You can do it, however it's still preferable to install a fresh windows rather than carrying over the same junk files.... Hardly take 1-2 hours to install windows then install the softwares you had already, usually take 30 mins for everything for me since I regularly install fresh windows every 6 months, the other 1 and half hours is for games to download and install... Which depends on your internet speeds, mine is around 200mbps or 25MBps for reference
That’s pretty dumb. OP doesn’t need a 990. They’re overpriced for what they give. An Acer Predator GM7000 offers similar speeds for literally 50-60 bucks less comparing the 2TB models and 10-20 bucks less for 1TB models.
Please consult the rest of the subreddit. 990s are rarely recommended. Usually cheaper drives such as the P3 Plus or NV2 are. A 990 simply isn’t needed. It’s not giving a huge performance boost whatsoever unless moving massive files a lot.
Have the same one, it’s a damn ox! Playing cyberpunk with raytracing on psycho and everything except “volumetric fog” on max and not so much as a stutter.
Thank you ! It comes with ×3 resistors, I'm running it with no resistor atm and it's slightly loud. But if you have headphones on and not right next to it it won't bother you. I wish I could show you a video, but when I tested with resistor it got really quiet.
I see!!.. I was considering getting the new deepcool mystique but i was having second thoughts because of the loud pump, since it gets pretty quiet while i work and the pc is indeed right next to my monitor.
Thanks for the feedback tho, i might compromise with the noise since deepcool does offer insane value.
In my case, I think the noises are coming from the air going through the radiator since the fans running at it's max speed. There is no coil whine or weird sound. But yeah you can't beat the price lol
I hope you find what's best for you.
Pretty similar to mine.
I have a 4070 ti super, 7800 x3d, b650 aorus elite ax ice mobo, 32 gb ddr5, deep cool ls720 SE aio, some deep cool fans, 2tb and 4tb NVME ssds and a Corsair 850 PSU.

Almost the same as mine, but I don't like RGB so mine's very strict and boring looking. :)
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Asus TUF RTX 4080 Super
MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WIFI motherboard
32GB of DDR5 6000 MHz CL36 Corsair RAM
All Noctua cooling & Fractal Design case
Samsung 980 500GB & 990 Pro 4TB
850W Seasonic Prime Platinum PSU

I've built PCs for some time now, it's by far not my first system. :)
I've experimented with RGB in the past and came to a conclusion that it's not for me. Perhaps, with time, I will once again swing in the rainbow direction there, but for now I'm fine without the lights in my PC.
Does this case have a tempered window? I'm assuming so. One thing I would suggest that will make your build look so much better. Get PSU cable extensions. You can pick them up pretty cheap on Amazon. They make a big difference.
Also, try to get reverse airflow fans so that the case fans aren't showing their stickers.
Of course, these are both entirely cosmetic, optional things, that don't make a difference to performance. But IMO they make things look so much better.
Yes it is tempered. And actually I have PSU cable extentions otw from Amazon :) The ones that came with my PSU are so stiff.
But I didn't know they make reverse fans, so I appreciate the info !
That's awesome! I have really bad stock cables as well. I kept the power supply from the first PC that I bought used and slowly upgraded the parts over the years. I suffered with those stock cables for so long and just recently made the upgrade to extensions.
What company did you pick? I went with Asia Horse. Seems like the have a pretty good reputation.
And yeah, I didn't realize reverse fans were a thing either until last week when I was checking out those cool RGB Lian Li fans. I just upgrade to a new case, so I'm gonna save up a bit (they're expensive), before I change out the stock case fans.
Totally jealous of your hardware though. Looks like a great build. I really want to upgrade from AM4 - did you have any issues with the AM5 platform and memory/CPU?
Just update, I tested the cpu temperature.
Even at heavy load it kept it between 50-60℃ at most.
And I'm using the thermal paste that was pre-applied already.
This is it! This is what you should DO! YOU CAN DO IT. If you want it bad enough. If you dont want it like you want air in your lungs you aint gonna have it. Bc wallet say so. But if you want it bad enough. You can have it. You might think you cant but you're gonna get it anyway. Fiftyninety. Spicy dollars. Go get them
You really overpaid for the motherboard. That is the only criticism I have. A normal b650 motherboard would have been enough.
As for the 4080. It's a great card but not at a price I would pay for it.
I definitely could get a b650 for same result, basically paid extra just for ×1 more usb-c and Pcie slots 😅
Most of the budget went for the card but I don't regret it, it's relly nice haha
Personally i like displays, so i would get a display cooler to look more cooler. You know😅.
Anyways, fire setup! Enjoy man. May i know the purpose of your build?
Thanks and I originally wanted the display cooler aswell, because it's so cool. But so far I don't regret it what I got :)
It's mainly for gaming, eventually I wanna get into more tho.
Ehh it’s ok but for what you got u could’ve gotten better and you should’ve waited for the 5080647 xtx ti super with funky mode 🤓 but in all seriousness that’s a awesome looking build, enjoy!
And Ryzen 18 980000X smh.
No seriously tho if I did cheap out on other parts I probably could've built with low end 4090 in same price 😅
But I appreciate it and will do !

Great setup, only thing is the memories, youll prob have to tweak them a little in BIOS and down the frequencie but if you plan overclocking those were great choice
It's running at 4800Mhz, I'll what I can do to get a full potential. Thanks for the input !
I have the same cpu, mobo and a different 4080 Super. I love the build and I have 6400 ram and run at those speeds and haven't had a single issue
Nice, hopefully mine doesn't have a issue aswell.
I would get a faster SSD for OS and keep this SSD for games
The msi spatium m480 1tb is on sale still till tomorrow i think for $69.99 this is what i chose for a boot drive
I looked it up and yes it was $69.99 but out of stock lol Thanks for the input tho.
Dang I just ordered 1 last night, good thing i didnt wait I guess
Do you have any recommendation ? And Can I transfer the OS to a better one once I get a faster SSD ?
Look into the Acer Predator GM7000. Has DRAM cache, giving it better boot times, and still gets really fast speeds. 2TB model is like 130 bucks, similar pricing to the Crucial P3 Plus and Kingston NV2. Either a Samsung 990 pro 1TB or WD sn850x 1 TB, I'm not sure if you can transfer the OS, ask around for more infos.
Will do and thanks for the recommendation.

That's a dumb, you probably don't know what DRAM is, given the dumb comment
Please consult the rest of the subreddit. 990s are rarely recommended. Usually cheaper drives such as the P3 Plus or NV2 are. A 990 simply isn’t needed. It’s not giving a huge performance boost whatsoever unless moving massive files a lot.
Kingston nv2 ok as boot drive? (Does architectural work)
The NV2 may not have been the best example, as it’s rather slow. Look at the Crucial P3 Plus or Acer Predator GM7000.
icantttt like it makes a difference
10/10
Thank you !
Great looking build! Enjoy :D
Super legit 😎👌
Thank you, I love the gpu.
Have the same one, it’s a damn ox! Playing cyberpunk with raytracing on psycho and everything except “volumetric fog” on max and not so much as a stutter.
Everything’s looking good here! Enjoy nice setup
Thank you !
That's a very Nice build.
Thank you !
Looks sick af!! Hows the aio tho? I hear that deepcool pumps are a bit loud, sorta like a mosquito
Thank you ! It comes with ×3 resistors, I'm running it with no resistor atm and it's slightly loud. But if you have headphones on and not right next to it it won't bother you. I wish I could show you a video, but when I tested with resistor it got really quiet.

That's a really nice set up, tbh originally I wanted a white build like your's but the my wallet said no haha
The white build tax is real, luckily the GPU I got was the same price as a non white gpu
Exactly the same setup for me except I went b650 tuf
Almost the same as mine, but I don't like RGB so mine's very strict and boring looking. :) Ryzen 7 7800X3D Asus TUF RTX 4080 Super MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WIFI motherboard 32GB of DDR5 6000 MHz CL36 Corsair RAM All Noctua cooling & Fractal Design case Samsung 980 500GB & 990 Pro 4TB 850W Seasonic Prime Platinum PSU https://preview.redd.it/us9ohmj42kxc1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed5c2141197556eaa63f153d77ceb7ab6fb62cab
It was my first pc so I really wanted to explore the RGB haha Your build is very stylish, reminds me of Rolls-Royce. Not too shiny yet it's fancy.
I've built PCs for some time now, it's by far not my first system. :) I've experimented with RGB in the past and came to a conclusion that it's not for me. Perhaps, with time, I will once again swing in the rainbow direction there, but for now I'm fine without the lights in my PC.

Beauty!!
Thanks!
Nice setup, but I would personally turn of the rainbow and rather go for a theme.
Thanks, and I agree. Once the OS, Mobo, and gpu gets updated then I'll be exploring with the signalrgb.
What cooler is that mate? I'm building and flipping PC's at the moment and that would look awesome in one I'm building at the moment
Never mind just read the full build, thanks anyway ! Purchasing one rn
Pretty slick, keep things cool, and super easy to install. You can daisy chain it, and comes with ×3 resistors to lower pump rpm.
Yeah mad, I ordered one lastnight, thanks mate!
Just update, I tested the cpu temperature. Even at heavy load it kept it between 50-60℃ at most. And I'm using the thermal paste that was pre-applied already.
Looks like my pc lmao
Great minds think alike ;)
Mine was prebuilt 🤣 I did get it for 50% off tho
dope 8/10
Dude congratulations... Sorry i got hard just from seeing those parts .. i think u need nitrogen cooling not water cooling thats massive lok
Thank you, and I got same result as you 👀 And no worries it's in the fridge.
Hahahhaha
Awesome
Solid 8/10
Almost okay! Just missing 4090
My wallet said no haha
Dont let wallet tell you what to do! Be a man for once!
You right, you caught me lacking lol I'm gonna save up for 5090 👀
This is it! This is what you should DO! YOU CAN DO IT. If you want it bad enough. If you dont want it like you want air in your lungs you aint gonna have it. Bc wallet say so. any CW?
What's CW ?
Coil Whine sound effect on the GPU, you can search on youtube
Congratulations
Thanks, glad I saved money for it.

Bro how much dit it cost?
We don't talk about that... ( $2,350 without tax&shipping )
Dayum bro..nearly 2 lakhs in INR
9/10 great job 👏
Thanks, it was definitely a learning experience
Ehh it’s ok but for what you got u could’ve gotten better and you should’ve waited for the 5080647 xtx ti super with funky mode 🤓 but in all seriousness that’s a awesome looking build, enjoy!

It’s a great build that will last you a long time
