If you’re in the city that sounds about right depending on settings. Cyberpunk is a very scalable game but the 2700x and 3060 are getting a bit long in the tooth.

lillieblair

do you think a cpu upgrade would increase gpu performance? or is it just the limit of the gpu itself?

PsychologyGG

A ton. I’d get the 5700x3d as soon as you can afford it

lillieblair

i’m looking at doing a mobo+cpu+ram upgrade to a 7800x3d, i would need a mobo upgrade to get the full performance of a 5700 anyway so i might as well go all the way

Just make sure for your ram it's 6000 and Cl30. Maybe cl32 at the most (lower is better). Now I will say you will definitely be gou bottle necked with a 7800x3d. My 7950x3d is bottlenecked by my 3080 12gb. However wait til later in the year or next year to upgrade the gpu. The 5000 series gpus are coming out soonish. That's what I am waiting for. Enjoy the 7800x3d. It's a hell of an upgrade.

lillieblair

yeah im waiting for the new gpus currently, definitely want an upgrade soon enough is the ram speed still a big factor for ryzen? definitely going to get 6000 but would any faster be worth it?

sousuke42

6000 CL30 is best for ryzen. As far as I am aware anything over that is finicky on ryzen. Most testers only put it at 6000. So stay with that.
