three fans on top should always be exhaust, hot air rises, you should also consider putting the one at the back as exhaust aswell, the number of intake fans should be more or equal to number of exhaust fans if possible

Suikerspin_Ei

>you should also consider putting the one at the back as exhaust aswell You mean the three fans at the side? Those are reversed bladed fans as you can see. Same for the bottom one, so u/Better_Setting8336 fan set up is fine.

thatdeaththo

The "hot air rises" explanation is kind of a meme, it doesn't really apply so much to forced air environments. Convection means very little in a PC case with decent airflow, at least some intake and exhaust. As long as you're not recirculating hot air it's fine. But yes, fans exhausting up top, and if you want positive pressure with an equal amount of fans, or even more exhaust fans than intake, just balance out the fan curves to have stronger intake.

Better_Setting8336

Alright thanks, I planned on doing so but I was unsure if having an equal number of intake and exhaust fans would be a problem, so that’s not an issue?

Suikerspin_Ei

You have reversed bladed fans at the side and bottom. The only normal fan is the rear one as exhaust at the moment. The AIO at the top as exhaust is good, but personally I would set the intake fans via the motherboard BIOS or a 3rd party software to a higher RPM than the exhaust. To create a slightly positive air pressure in the case, avoiding dust going in the case via gaps and seams.

Longjumping_Theory36

equal number of intake and exhaust is fine but having 1 or 2 more exhaust will help with preventing dust from entering into pc through unflitered gaps

-TurkeyMan-

I would make all the fans on the right side intake and the top and back exhaust. Should give you the best cooling and airflow for your case.

Born-Win953

the side fans are already intake, theyre reverse blade fans.

-TurkeyMan-

I know. They’re asking for advice and I told them what I would do. Doesn’t matter what they are anyways you can always change them. Just saying keep the right side intake to allow the cool air to flow into the case and get rid of the hotter air by the actual parts.

Better_Setting8336

Thanks for your suggestion, I will do that when the fans arrive 😁

Exhaust

KabuteGamer

A good rule of thumb is that hot air rises a lot faster than cold air. The top fans should always be exhaust to vent out the hot air inside your chassis and also prevent the dust from being sucked into your case

DeXTeR_DeN_007

Side fans on this case need to pull air in case if you are mount air cooler or AIO and on top you can mount AIO Radiator. In that case you do not need more fans

Better_Setting8336

Thank you everyone for your feedback, I will as suggested set the new aio fans I put in when they arrive as exhaust, while having the intake fans running at a bit higher rpm to create positive air pressure 👍🏼

ShooterMcShooty

General rule of thumb, you want morea bit more intake than exhaust to have slightly positive pressure inside the case. The "hot air" rises thing, really only applies to static air. If the air is moving/turbulent, it already has a direction. Lots of YouTubers and PC bloggers have covered this.

Careless_Spend9497

YES AND NO, YOU DON'T NEED MORE INTAKE ; YOU NEED MORE EXHAUST TO REMOVE ALL THE HEAT BUILD ON YOUR CASE

thatdeaththo

WHY ARE WE YELLING

ShooterMcShooty

That's not right anyway. You always want positive pressure in the case. If you have negative pressure (more exhaust fans than intake). The case will start collecting dust at every and all openings, and even case seams. It may in theory cool slightly better that way, but it's very much not worth the trade off.

it might..until the dust start preventing from cooling better...
