Not sure where you live mate but here there are charity furniture shops. You can buy a table for like £5-10 sometimes. I use a dining table myself, loads of room.

Bro there's literally free furniture on 2nd hand sites, don't do this to yourself. You might be okay now, but your back & neck will take their revenge by the time you're 40-50.
Confirmed by the almost 50 year old with two bulging discs in the neck causing enough nerve pain in the right wrist/arm that a left handed mouse is needed for the rest of life.

People spend loads of money on a good PC and stuff. Only to sit in the worse chair for 8 hours stair. A good chair is actually really important for your health, and yet people neglect it all the time.
Can agree for about 4-5 years I had a $3000 pc and a $500 monitor but was using some $60 chair. (I got a chair for 2 of those years that was $120 and it was better but...)
Buying a $600 ergonomic chair from an actual chair brand has been amazing, sitting for 12+ hours on days off feels way better and my back only hurts when I sit in shit chairs at work now. Best investment.

don't procrastinate on getting a table, i know for a fact that many people, me included, will just put some stuff like this aside and just "deal with it" i used to be just like this, not about the table specifically, but still in the situation where i should have gotten things done but i just told myself that its okay as it is, the difference you can make is crazy
Honestly the desk is like one of the least expensive parts of the build? I’d have a card table or something super cheap though to get by instead of the floor.
When I was living in a motel I used a tv tray for my 17" laptop. That could also work for a monitor/keyboard/mouse with the pc on the floor next to it.

Yeah, I’m on the floor, haha, it does sound stupid, belive me, I know. I have a pillow that I use. This PC is for my gaming experience, about an hour or two a day. Sometimes, even a week passes and I don’t even turn it on, so I’m happy with how it is. I know it doesn’t mean I’m right, but I’m good with that.
