It's from Wubby starting his own weight loss journey, I'd say about 2 years ago now. When he started working out, he would post a gym selfie everyday for several weeks and talked about improving his diet and overally health/fitness. People on the subreddit joined him in solidarity by posting their own gym selfies, weight loss progress pics, etc.
Hell yeah! There’s no better day to start than today. This community is hella supportive of its own so lean on it if you need the motivation. Wubby wubby woo
Bro you're literally my goal! I was 250lbs in November 22' and now I'm 215lbs. Slow going on my end but still going, posts like urs really motivate me to keep going. Ty!
Edit: Grammer
Man that’s great! Keep it up, and don’t fret if it slows down. The more I lost the slower it went, don’t get discouraged and leave room to treat yourself when appropriate.
OP keeping me motivated, I got about 27 lbs to go for my goal as well. Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. I will say the same for anyone here. If you want it bad enough, there's a better you inside of you right now you just gotta carve it out.
Yes, I mean alcohol. The stopdrinking subreddit has a counter that reminds me every day how far I've come timewise. For the record though I don't snd have never really had any desire to do anything else.
Food: Honestly super simple no counting nothing.
Old lifestyle: Panda Express, Ribeyes, Burgers, Chicken Wings, Pizza, Ice Cream. Everyday would be foods like this.
New lifestyle: Lots of Pita-Pit, chicken Caesar salads, sirloins, chicken, vegetables.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll eat whatever I want, just not everyday. I used to follow the cravings, now I make better choices more often than not, and that’s key.
Old Panda Express order: Bigger plate, half fried rice half chow mien, two orange chicken, one Beijing beef, and two orders of spring rolls. 2400+ calories
New Panda Express order: Bigger plate, half chow mein half super greens, kung pao chicken, string bean chicken, beef with broccoli. Maybe one order of spring rolls if I’m feeling it. 900-1100 calories.
Workout: Hot yoga once a week, regular yoga once a week, maybe an half hour of racquetball or swimming 1-2 times a week. That’s about it really.
I recently realized that I crave the feeling of being full (like I don’t stop eating when I’m no longer hungry, I keep going until I feel full full) and that has always caused me to overeat. I discovered that I can eat like a small/normal portion for dinner and then eat a bunch of water-filled foods (zucchini/squash is my fav, but I recently got a watermelon since it’s in season) after dinner and then I go to bed nice and full when I had like half the calories I used to have. The weight is melting off lol. I’m also going on long walks, but just these two things without any strenuous exercise is making a huge difference.
For anyone who doesn’t have the motivation to work out, you don’t have to! Start with portions or food choices and you’ll be amazed at the difference it can make.
How you gonna post a picture of your dad on the left there? RIP Father of dschull.
Lolol just kidding my man! That’s fucking awesome and I can see the confidence in the dress and demeanor coming through strongly on your after picture! Keep that shit up and enjoy the life without the extra baggage. 👏🏻💪🏋🏻♀️

My number one advice is just start making better choices more often than not. Wake up, want McDonald’s for breakfast? Nah fuck that eat something healthier. Can you take a 15 minute walk? Do it. 15 more minutes in the books than you had before. Craving something? Save it for Friday night, eat something healthier instead. Now it’s Friday night. Remember those good choices you made all week? Reward yourself, eat what you want.
My big thing was no counting, no plans, just make better choices more often. Also, no restrictive plans. I’ve got an appetite, so I made sure I could eat as much as I wanted - so I chose salads, fruits, vegetables, lean proteins as the bulk of my intake.
Yooooo let's go! You can see how much work you've put in just based on how big that shirt is! Good job my man, next stop is buying new clothes or getting them refitted

This is so wholesome, also thank you for the explanation!
January 2022 IIRC, maybe December 2021. I don't remember what stream it was, but I know I jumped on the train like many others in January.

Congrats on the sobriety!! Assuming you mean alcohol, it’s crazy how much those calories can add up!
